An entertaining family story, with engaging characters, whose relationships and struggles are believably conveyed, and an appealing setting in a rural vicarage.

After Rachel is left at the altar, she can barely handle the confines of her tiny, charming hometown. She becomes friends with Sam and from there, a beautiful love story blossoms. Such a fun, sweet story.

Many thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

Another fabulous read from one of my favorite authors! Hewitt has a special talent for making characters with tremendous depth come alive on a page and I always love the emotion she weaves into every page. I loved Rachel's and would highly recommend this series to everyone. So good!

Recently this year I was introduced to the writings of Kate Hewitt and I am now truly a fan. Another installment of the Holley sisters. The night before Dan and Rachel’s wedding the groom tells Rachel he doesn’t think she loves him. She hesitates and it becomes more apparent she is in love with being married but not head over heels in love with her fiancé. Coming to grips with reality she must face life and find direction. Just like the previous books in this series, I enjoyed the story. Good choice to read.

I'm enjoying Kate Hewitt's quartet about the Holley sisters and Rachel's story was interesting too. And I like the glimpses we get into the lives of the other sisters as well as their parents. There's no point in pretending this is a work of literary genius but it is a most enjoyable bit of escapism. And I mean that in no pejorative way; escapism is important for relaxation and books are to be enjoyed.. My only little niggle is that Anna's wedding is squeezed into two small a space. Having read her story first, I'd have liked Kate Hewitt to give me slightly more space to enjoy the ongoing story.

Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. I really like this author and this book is full of families, romance and most importantly finding what makes you happy. A great read.

This book takes on so many topics it’s hard to describe it with just a few words. It’s a family drama, a coming-of-age story, a primer on the complexity of sisterhood, a lesson for overcome hardship and a friendship that leads to a romance between a grade school teacher, a slightly hostile landlord and a young boy who desperately needs a stable home and family. The main character is Rachel whose fiancé cancels their wedding leaving her mourning the perfect life she dreamed of. As Rachel struggles with humiliation and pity all of the members of her family are undergoing huge changes in their lives that throw them all for a loop in one way or another. This author is a great storyteller and each of her characters grow in wisdom and maturity as they face new challenges in their lives, but Rachel’s transformation is truly heartfelt and inspirational. I’m really looking forward to reading more of the books in this lovely series. I read an early copy of this book provided by Tule Publishing Group through NetGalley and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

I enjoyed another visit to Thornthwaite for an update on the lives of the Holley sisters. I love the way the Holley family is close and caring. The sisters and parents show concern and support, but also challenge each other to become the best they can be. This time we look deeply into Rachel's dreams and fears, as Dan calls off their wedding in between the rehearsal and the rehearsal party/dinner. Her life is totally shaken and Rachel is forced to examine her deepest desires and motivations, while moving on with practical matters like securing housing, navigating village curiosity, and dealing with the romantic overtures of a new man in town. I love that this book is more about becoming a stronger and truly self-aware woman and less about finding a new man.

Kate Hewitt writes such realistic family relationships in this series focusing on four sisters who grew up in a vicarage. This third novel is about Rachel, the sister who wants a storybook life but never thought about the need for a strong foundation to build upon.

I like how no matter what emotional turmoil or complicated situation the sisters find themselves in, the other sisters are there to support them. Now, if you don’t have sisters, you might not recognize sisterly support. It’s not always soft words and hugs. Sometimes it’s a harsh truth (Esther!!!) and sometimes it’s just being there in the same room (Miriam!).

I also like that Hewitt writes in lovely male characters to (a) distract the sisters from their current problem, and (b) create new issues for them to figure out. And that’s certainly life for Rachel when her new job AND her new apartment come with broody but handsome Sam.

Back in Thornthwaite village was a pleasant trip. Rachel being jilted was the best thing to happen to her. I found her finding her feet back and some love with a bad boy a good read.

I think this is the first book I’ve read by Kate Hewitt so far, but it definitely won’t be the last. It’s rare that I rate a romance / chick-lit novel as a full 5/5, but I thoroughly enjoyed ‘A Vicarage Wedding’. Sometimes it’s nice to completely immerse yourself in the notion of a sparks-aplenty-type romance, and this was exactly that.

Rachel is due to get married, but her fiancé calls off the wedding the night before. What could have been a completely life-changing disaster, becomes the turning point for a far more suitable romantic suitor for Rachel, and I couldn’t help but feel completely invested in Rachel’s characters as well as those of the other main characters. A great read - highly recommend.

A Vicarage Wedding by Kate Hewitt is another great book by Kate. I just love how she can make the characters come alive and so personal. You can feel the pain, love and emotions as they go through them. Love the setting and the familiarity of the town and the people. Just such a great book.

The book is a tad slow on the onset, laying the ground work of describing characters and the main character, Rachel Holley’s, predicament but is good once all the initial details are done.
Rachel is dumped on the eve of her wedding to Dan because he knows she does not truly and deeply love him. She is left to rearrange her life because there will be no new husband and no new home. Luckily, and after enduring some time in her parent’s former home, she finds a flat to rent over a pub in the town. The owner, Sam West, finds himself in a new situation-guardian for his troubled third grade nephew, Nathan, who is also Rachel’s new student. She comes to Sam’s rescue several times becoming closer to both Sam and Nathan. Complications and troubles arise to put a monkey wrench in their relationship but it all has a chance to work out in the end.

Kate Hewitt continues her enchanting series about the Holley sisters with the third captivating installment, A Vicarage Wedding. Poignant, engrossing and charming, A Vicarage Wedding is another winner for this fabulous storyteller!

Rachel Holley has been dreaming about her fairy tale wedding ever since she was a child. Having planned her wedding meticulously and to the very last detail, Rachel is looking forward to spending the rest of her life with the man of her dreams. But it’s a just a shame that Prince Charming has got other plans in store for her as he calls the whole thing off the day before the wedding! Rachel is distraught, heartbroken and humiliated. With her fairy tale life now in ashes, Rachel must pick up the shattered pieces of her life and try to start afresh – but that is easier said than done in the small village of Thornthwaithe where holding your head up in public where everyone knows your business is certainly no easy feat!

Rebuilding your life means renewing old acquaintances and making new friends. The last person Rachel expects to befriend is the enigmatic and taciturn owner of the village’s less than salubrious pub, The Bell, Tom West. Much like his pub, Tom is rough around the edges and seems as far removed from Rachel’s idea of the perfect husband as it is possible to get. Yet, the more time Rachel spends with Tom, the more she realises that the pub owner has got hidden depths and beneath his gruff exterior lies a man with a heart of gold dedicated to raising and caring for his orphaned nephew.

As friendship gives way to something deeper, Rachel and Tom’s feelings for one another intensify and love soon flourishes. But are they both ready to take a leap of faith and a chance on love? Or will they continue to let fear hold them back?

There is nothing quite like escaping into a Kate Hewitt novel and A Vicarage Wedding is another dazzling romantic tale that touches the heart and makes you smile. Poignant, compelling and simply irresistible, A Vicarage Wedding is a scintillating tale of second chances, fresh starts and healing with a wonderful heroine you will cheer for, a gorgeous hero you will adore and a picturesque village you just want to live in.

A first class contemporary romance I simply couldn’t bear to stop reading, A Vicarage Wedding is another triumph for this outstanding storyteller!

Really enjoyed this book. It’s very English in the setting, manners, dynamic in the family and therefore felt very familiar and homely. It’s a cup of tea by the fire and a winters day. Lovely!

Rachel is the third of the Holley sisters from the vicarage and had always dreamt of her white wedding and it is all happening at last.... until the night before the wedding and Dan her fiance calls it off because he doesn't believe she really loves him! Homeless and penniless she rents the flat above the pub from Sam, a man she is unsure of as he is a bit rough around the edges and a bit scary! As she gets to know him however and sees the way he cares for his nephew Nathan she starts to realise that there is a lot more to Sam than she first thought...... but he is so far from being her type!

Great to be back with the Holley sisters with another lovely heartwarming story, a lovely series and I am looking forward to the last one to complete the series
