I really wish I had known this was the second book in a series.

Received this book for an honest review from Netgalley

Embracing the Demon starts half and a year after The Demon Within ended. Dale is on the run again. She is devastated after her mother’s murder and John’s betrayal. But she has to team up with him in order to save their people. Some mysterius illnes ravages angels and demons both and it seems she is the only one who can help the supernaturals to stop the Zetas.

I love stories about everything supernatural and when there is some romance thrown in all the better. The story was easy to follow and I found myself reading only a chapter or two per day so it wood take me longer to read the book. I just didn’t want it to finish.

What I found a little frustrating was that Dale hasn’t changed at all since the first book. She keeps making the same mistakes, the same questionable choices. But despite that I really like her.

I can’t wait for the next book.

Thank you to NetGalley, Rare Bird Books and Beth Woodward for my copy.

Thank you to Xpresso books for the Arc of this book.
I really wanted to like this book, so much so that I kept on reading till the end with the hopes it would grab me, but it just wasn’t my cup of tea at all.
