This story is adorable. Great for kids who are scared a bedtime. The main character, Neon, is cute and helpful.

What a unique book! It starts off with a short story about Neon the Nightmare Ninja, and his adventures fighting nightmares and taking care of good dreams. Then it goes on to include a large variety of activities for children to complete. Everything from coloring pages, word searches, questionnaires, craft suggestions, and more. Following the activity section is an informative section for parents to read. With titles like "Getting to know your child's nightmares" , "Child friendly ways to explore nightmares", and "Making night time feel comfortable again", this really is an all around book on the subject of having bad dreams. I would certainly recommend to any friend who have little ones with night time troubles.

A huge thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I truly appreciate it!

This was a fun story about a superhero who helps to fight off nightmare sand and help children to sleep safely soundly and safely in their beds. The idea is a fantastic one, a book to share with children who might struggle with nightmares and fear going to sleep. With their colourful Nightmare Ninja beside them, the hope is they’ll drift off easily and happily. The story is accompanied by lots of ideas to help children to feel less frightened about going to sleep. Lots of activities relate to the ninja himself, and a number of activities to talk or write about what is scaring the child .and what would make them happy.

It was quite wordy so this would definitely be a book for sharing, but for a child who is suffering from nightmares this is great as they wouldn’t want to be alone. The number of ideas in the book also means that each night the book is shared could be quite fresh. The story would be the same but the talking points and activities could change nightly.

NEON THE NIGHTMARE NINJA is a fantastic activity book for kids aged 5-10 who struggle with sleep issues, including nightmares. In the workbook, we meet Ninja, whose job is to protect anyone who gets scared at night. Uses an engaging story plus therapeutic activities to teach kids how to make nighttime more relaxing. Also features advice for parents based on proven cognitive behavioral techniques. Highly recommended!

What an adorable children's book! It is really hard to reinvent the wheel but Treisman has done so with her new release Neon the Nightmare Ninja. The colorful and vibrant illustrations are a great way to discuss the sometimes tough subject of nightmares.
