Review to come. Here's my initial response.

Not my usual read, but I was asked by the author to read and review a copy. Markwardt's main lesson is to water your own grass -- don't hop around job to job, stick around a great job and make it great. He shows great leadership skills through real-life moments he's had in his travels. Great read on leadership for millenials.

Jon Markwardt has a way of explaining difficult psychology of consumer behavior and the behavior of the sales professional that is easy to understand. Better yet, his methods are simple to implement and develop into habits. His anecdotes kept me entertained, and I felt like I was able to see myself using the concepts -- visualize myself being successful with these techniques.

His delivery is simple and direct, the illustrations and the leadership wheel make sense and give you something other than a wall of dense sales jargon. Markwardt has done an exceptional job pulling the old standards as far as good selling, and coupling them with new and fresh ideas.

His philosophy is "water your own grass" -- make your current situation as good as you can possibly make it. Don't hop around job to job, and don't poo-poo good training.

Best part of the book: Broken into reasonable chunks of information and easy to read. He has made this content from what could be boring into "consumable information" I can use.
