I recieved this one through Netgalley. I'm was so excited and anxious to read this one. The last book I've read by this author I loved it. Now this one was a tough read. I found myself skimming and wanting not to finish it at times. Brandon and Jordan are both afraid of relationships. They have been hurt in their past relationships.

I’m sad to say that I’m packing it in at 20%. It’s taken me a week to get this far, I just can’t get into it. I’ve skimmed and kept putting it down. It’s a me, not you thing. But I did read this authors first book Turst and really liked that. I just downloaded the follow up Hope, so I’m going to switch to that one.

How could you end it leaving me wanting more?! I was engulfed in this book from the moment I began reading. Casey Diam crafted her characters well, giving just enough snippets of their past at a time to keep you guessing. I liked the story alternating leads to portray both point of views. I did expect more for an ending, but I would not hesitate to read more from this author. I read the exclusive epilogue as well and found myself with more unanswered questions than I had from finishing the book itself. All in all, I feel the ending could use more content but the rest of the book was intriguing and well written.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I am sorry, but I did not like the story at all. I finished it because I felt I had to before giving any rating. For me this is not romance (hero sleeps with ow) or romcom (where is the comedic part?) plus you have to sign up to get the epilogue? It should be in the book.

Brandon is a wealthy man who has been burned by relationships in his past. He’s decided he only wants friends with benefits. Then he meets Jordan when he’s out shopping with a friend. He feels pulled toward her in a way he hasn’t felt in a while. Jordan has also been hurt by a boyfriend who hurt her. Can two wounded people find the love they need?

This book was plain awful. Why? Because Brandon sleeps with other women or gets sucked off from them throughout the story. And Jordan also dates another guy and is committed to him. Though she doesnt sleep with him, Brandon does so much so an ex pokes holes in his condoms. UGH! So grosss.

The book starts off well and I liked Brandon and I liked Jordan and she starts off in a fun way resisting him and him deciding on beeing friends. But she refuses to date him but also can't let him go and he has sex with other women throughout the story. As to her she decides he is too good for her and dates down with this other guy and throws that in Brandons face a lot.

At this point I hated this story, so must I tried to skim through all the bad parts. Then finally they get together and unfortunately there was too little off this part because that was the part of the story I liked.

This story is well written.I even liked the characters. But the sex with others and dating others I HATED and so I do not recommend this story.

**SPOILER ALERT...just at the very bottom of this review.**

This was a tough read for me. The author advertised it as a rom-com, slow burn on Goodreads, but I didn't find anything funny about this story and while slow burns are my favorite, this was more like slow torture.

First, I couldn't really connect with the characters. While I could understand why Brandon was the way he was, he was still a jerk and I never got to the point where I warmed up to him or rooted for him. Jordan was all over the place with her feelings and it just got to the point where it was annoying. I guess my big issue was that this story was maybe too real life? These two people clearly like each other, but do everything in their power to make things NOT work. I didn't feel any romance until about 75%. I will acknowledge though that once they got together it was hot, but it wasn't enough to save the bad feelings this book gave me. I love angst and getting the feels from a book, but unfortunately, I didn't get the good ones. Casey Diam is a fantastic writer, but this type of story just isn't my cuppa.

Brandon and Jordan do make a go of it for like five minutes in the middle of the book, but then something bad happens and Brandon goes MIA on Jordan. When he finally reappears, she brushes him off and in no time at all he's sleeping with someone else. It's not overly descriptive, but that's the first real action in the book and it just left me with a bad taste. On top of that, Jordan hasn't slept with anything in four years and also starts dating someone else, but she doesn't sleep with him. Whhhhhyyyyyyyy?? So frustrating.

Brandon Kuvat gave up on love ten years ago—the year he was set to become a dad. A wealthy playboy pilot, he still sees plenty of action, but he’s not the man he once was. Or the man he wishes he could be. The first time he encounters Jordan, he knows immediately she is different. He also knows hurting her is inevitable. Still, he can’t stay away, even if it means he'll have to settle for a friendship—but only for as long as that can last. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Casey Diam is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.

3.5 STARS!!!
This book could have easily been a 5 star read for me but the problem was that I hated how it ended. It seemed as if the ending came out of nowhere and Brandon and Jordan's story wasn't finished. This is supposed to be a standalone story and it is because the author gives readers an ending, but it truly wasn't the ending I wanted or hoped for. I needed more! However, readers get the option of receiving an exclusive epilogue to their story but I wanted it in the book not to have to sign up to receive it. That small difference might have made this story seem "more" complete; at least to me. With that being said, I enjoyed Brandon, Jordan and the side characters. They have a great group of friends. The back and forth banter between Brandon and Jordan made me smile and laugh out loud, and their chemistry was undeniable. I truly have mixed feeling because I enjoyed everything about this story but the ending. In my opinion the ending matters the most because it can either leave readers satisfied or dissatisfied with the story. Would I suggest romance readers to give this book a try? Yes. It wasn't a bad read it just wasn't satisfying to me. However, I would also give another book from this author a try and just hope for a better ending.
