The first book in this series made me feel every emotion from happy to sad. This book, Young Enough, was a great follow up with a sweet ending to what ended up being a very tragic, heartbreaking story for the main character Jane. I loved the development of their love for each other even if I didn't love how much of a complacent pushover Jane became in this book. Overall I thought it was a good read but I liked the first one better so that's why I'm going to give it 4.5 stars. Thanks NetGalley for my ARC!!

This book picks up right where the last book ended. Drama, Drama and more Drama goes down. Things have changed, Jane moves away from the city. She creates a new life for herself. She is content and thinks that she is over Brian. Brian is still working under cover for the police. He is still engaged to Monkey's daughter.

It again has some amazing writing. I am very hooked on this author. I love her style, I love her characters. I cannot get enough from Pauls.

Jane is such an amazing and strong woman. With everything we learn in this book about her past. She was assaulted twice and both times it was pushed under the rug and she had to live with it. Brian deals with his past, loosing his father, mother and little brother. I know his mother is still alive, but she is not well and unable to care for him how a mother should, so he essentially lost her as well. Everything is thrown at these two to make them explode.

The doubt as Jane feels that every single person dear to her has betrayed her made my heart weep. She takes everything in stride and picks herself back up again. Yes it is painful and hard, but she does it because she knows she has to for herself.

The ending was beautifully written and thought out. I wish it didn't end, I want to know more of their love together.

5* Soulmate Stars

Young Enough picks up from where book one, Old Enough, ended on a cliff-hanger.

The journey of Jane and Brian was very testing and emotional. I was so invested in their heartache and struggles that I could not put the book down and finished it in a day racing to the end to find out if they got their HEA.

Jane had to endure so much heartache and pain that presented itself from her past as well as her present and this only made her stronger in the end. Brian was still very protective and caring and so devoted to Jane and his family.

The conclusion of Jane and Brian’s story was full of angst, sorrow, deception, betrayal and great passion and love. It also had a few twists and turns, which I did not foresee.

I read the duet of the Age Between Us back to back and this made for compelling reading. I really enjoyed this emotional rollercoaster of a series.

Many thanks to Charmaine Pauls and NetGalley for my ARC to read and review

I'm definitely the minority in liking this duet. I love an age gap May-December romance and while this certainly filled as an age gap (23 year differnce) it contained more pain and tragedy then romance.
Jane was sweet but somewhat of a push over. She was beaten , cheated on, fired from her job, drugged, rapped, she had horrible friends, an horrible ex-husband and dare I say daughter. This woman endured so much tragedy in her life I truly don't know how she got out of bed in the morning.

Brian was sweet at times but he too took advantage of Jane. He stalked her, pressured her and helped cause a good portion of her issues.

The sex was not but there was too much sex and too much tragedy for me.

4.5 STARS!!!!
This was such a great conclusion to this duet. There was so much in this story that happened that I didn't expect and that had me finishing this book in one sitting. There was so much drama in this book and once again there were those characters I loved, and characters I loved to hate. I disliked Loretta in the first book and in this story she showed her true colors, along with some others. I'm glad Abby matured a little but for a while I didn't think she would. Francois and Debbie even became likable characters. Benjamin was in a league of his own and I didn't hate him but I didn't quite care for him either. There was so much going on in this story but I loved how everything was wrapped up. I was completely satisfied with the ending and I enjoyed this story a lot. I definitely look forward to reading more books from this author in the future.

4 1/2 Star Review......

The conclusion of this remarkable duology is jam-packed with deception, betrayal, pain, angst, passion and love. Jane and Brian always knew their relationship would be a torturous rollercoaster, where the unexpected would become their norm, and calm was simply non-existent. But will they have the strength to overcome adversity?

There are a multitude of twist and turns, many heartfelt and emotional truths, but above all, there are two amazing people who just want to love unconditionally; without judgement. Knowing that we can’t always choose whom we love and actually living that reality, are as different as hot and cold, and Jane and Brian are exceptional in their quest for a normal life.

Ms Pauls has written a powerful and moving story, that I’m sure will stay with readers long after the last page is turned.

I don’t know where to start. This book gutted me, then slowly, put me back together. There is so much going on with all the characters in this book, I was worried how it was all going to pull together by the end. I can not say enough how genius this story was written. I read it in one day. I COULD NOT put it down. Brian and Jane became one of my all-time favorite couples. I was so skeptical of the age difference when I started Old Enough, but Brian is such an old soul it didn’t matter how young he was. And Jane deserved happiness. It was a long, hard battle for her, but anything good is worth the wait. This truly is a stunning duet.

Amazing conclusion to Jane&Brian’s torturous journey to a life together with uncertainty. My heart was just aching and beating so fast with anticipation for Jane&Brian. I can’t believe how in a blink of an eye the story was going like I thought then whoosh the halfway mark of book everything was twists and turns like a freaking tornado hit. I was blown away from some of the truths that were revealed and I loved every minute of them. Charmaine Pauls has a way with her words that just grip me and sink me so far into the storyline I don’t want to stop reading until the end. So much Emotion,Heartfelt feelings, and Torture while reading this book. I’m amazed at how everything just came together at the end of the book and absolutely loved this quote: “Something as rare as what we had is worth fighting for. She’s worth fighting for. To hell with the how and why. To hell with the age between us. “
Jane&Brian’s life was different in so many ways, but that’s what makes their life interesting. I believe we can’t choose who we fall in love with when our hearts are doing the choosing for us.

Dark, intense and passionate are only few words that come near to describing “Young Enough” by Charmaine Pauls. Pauls’ work is far from ordinary and is in a class of itself. She writes romance that is shocking, unforgettable and poignant not to mention raw and provocative! In this second book of her The Age Between Us series we see reality settle in as Brian and Jane face new challenges and secrets are revealed.

You can’t help but go back and forth with this relationship. Is it right? Is it acceptable? Is it real or just a short fling? Charmaine Pauls has a way of bringing unconventional relationships to life and showing us that nothing is as black and white as we think and that there are many shades in between.

Another remarkable romance by Charmaine Pauls! Can’t wait to see what she has in store for us with her next romance!

This is going to be a review with no spoilers because it hasn’t released yet but I had the pleasure of reading a ARC and I am going to tell you this book you will not be able to put down holy shit if your book doesn’t catch on fire you’re not reading it. I fell in love with the characters in book one and I just grew more in love with them as I read every page of this book age is just a number compatibility passion that’s what matters. This book has lots of twists and turns plenty of hot smoking scenes and so much more! Jane And Brian my favorite (less)

Brilliant finale. Whilst I found the abby-Jane relationship devastating and it brought me to tears nearly every interaction. I would love to think in janes position I would be that selfless and think only of my kids but just don’t know so whilst it is an erotic novel it does give situations that you have to wonder what would I do.
The ending surprising and a bit unexpected, definitely worth a read.
Loved it, will definitely look for more by this author.

OMG! The follow up was fantastic! I loved the continuation of Brian and Jane’s relationship and all the shit hitting the fan in her life. I could feel both Jane and Brian’s love, passion, and heartbreak through this story. I got so pissed at the stuff happening I almost started screaming at my iPad! But in the end was a HEA that they both deserved. Bravo Ms. Pauls!

Im still in 2 minds about this book. I'm glad that their story ended well but I found his POVs slightly disturbing. I really don't know what to make of it

What a great ending to the first book. Such a taboo book with a 19 year old, mature, caring, sexy man and a 43 year old woman. There was so much going on in this book, and it was all well written and a hard to put down book. I made sure I had the time to read the whole book in one sitting as I knew it would be hard to put down. The book did not disappoint! Great HEA.

I truly enjoyed the sequel to old enough. It was heart breaking, frusting, sensual, gritty, steamy and full of turns that had you biting your nails. Also made you realize how real life is. Love knows no bounds and comes in all shapes and sizes. Great story to remind you no matter where you come from or where you go true love is always there

Beautiful conclusion to this two-part series. I started and finished it in one-day, I just couldn't put it down.
There are moments where the story does get dark, and some readers may be triggered by it.

Whew, what else could happen to Jane. The woman has the perseverance, I will say that and to come through it with an HEA is what makes this romance so lovely. Her compassion for people even though they have wronged her is overwhelming. Brian again is really an old soul in a young body. I was amazed again at how he took everything in stride (well, most everything) and did not give up on Jane. There are some very intense moments in this story which I loved. The ending (before the epilogue) is so sweet and beautiful. Another great read from Ms. Pauls.

I am glad to have received this ARC from Charmaine Pauls and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Charmaine Pauls’ Young Enough continues where Old Enough leaves off and we see the consequences of Brian’s and Jane’s secret-keeping. Everything becomes progressively more complicated. Monkey, the local mob boss, is increasingly more insistent in the demands he makes on Brian. Serious allegations are made that may result in changes to the current custody arrangements for Abby. Benjamin’s schemes come to a head, raising the question of who has betrayed whom. Jane’s job-security is threatened. Friendships face challenges and it’s hard to know who will be supportive and who will be disloyal. There are threats and dangers and numerous unexpected twists and turns. I felt like I was on a roller coaster ride as new obstacles kept raising the stakes; I couldn’t put this down, impatient to find out what happens next.

Brian remains constant in his love for Jane, but Jane is faced with so many betrayals that she begins to question whether he has ulterior motives. As everything reaches crisis levels, Jane finally makes a decision that will have significant repercussions in her relationship with Brian. With so many new revelations and entanglements, Jane and Brian’s HEA is no longer a certainty.

Young Enough is a splendid conclusion to The Age Between Us duology. Charmaine Pauls has a style of writing that both describes the sensual and steamy nature of Brian and Jane’s relationship and presents a plot that draws in the reader with its complications and unexpected developments, a terrific combination! She is an author whose works I plan to follow in the future.
