This is a classic cozy- set in a small town (named Charm of all things!), it featuring a small business owner (a tea shop) who has fun relatives (two aunts!) and a friend who is suspected of murdering, in this case, her new husband. Everly has a good things going in her life. She's also got a little back and forth with Detective Hays and there's another potential love interest out there as well. The plot zips along nicely, the characters are fun, and the mystery not too twisty. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. I'm looking forward to the next one!

This is the 2nd installment of the Seaside Café Mystery series. Everly gets a chance of a lifetime to cater her friends beach wedding and then the groom is found dead in the surf. All eyes focus on the bride to be. Everly begins to investigate and she soon becomes a target. This is a good mystery and makes me want to go to Charm North Carolina. This was a fast paced and quick read and kept me engaged to the very end. Recommend.

Sun, Sand and Tea shop owner Everly Swan is happy to organize and cater her childhood friend Judy's beachfront wedding to billionaire tech company owner Craig Miller in her hometown of Charm, North Carolina. But the happy event ends tragically when Craig is found stabbed dead and floating in the surf. Everly knows Judy is innocent of the murder despite being her holding the murder weapon, and she is determined to help clear her name. One ally or possible suspect is former investigative reporter turned wedding columnist Ryan O'Malley. Ryan wants to resurrect his floundering career by finding Craig's killer. Meanwhile, Everly is getting threatening messages that the killer wants her to back off. Detective Grady Hays wants to protect Everly and make her stay out of the investigation.

On the personal front, Everly is stunned when her ex-boyfriend rodeo rider Wyatt returns to town for the Summer Splash arts festival. She also has to find time to help her bee-loving entrepreneurial aunts Clara and Fran produce a winning video about the bee apocalypse for an online contest.

This was a quick, fun read and another enjoyable book in this mystery series.

I received an eARC via Netgalley and Sourcebooks Landmark with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and provided this review.

No Good Tea Goes Unpunished by Bree Baker is the second book in A Seaside Cafe Mystery series but can be read as a standalone.

As a matter of fact this is my first book in the series and I had no problem getting into the story. All past references are well explained.

This is a light and entertaining cozy read with no foul language or gruesome details. Some things are slightly incredulous, such as main character managing to do so many things at the same time, but other than that no misshapes.

After coming back to her home town, Everly has opened a charming cafe. Her childhood friend is getting married and Everly has helped to organize the wedding. Unfortunately, after the ceremony groom goes missing only to be found floating face down in the ocean. Immediately his wife and Everly's friend has become person of interest, especially since some not to favorable things have come to surface.

Characters are well developed, aunts are a hoot. Mystery is cleverly plotted. I especially liked the setting. It is so charming and beautiful.

All in all, fun and enjoyable read.

Cozy Coastal Island Mystery
This wonderful mystery is the second in a series. This is a well done, full-length cozy mystery with a helping of romance and good recipes. There are plenty of suspects, lots of fun in the sun and more mayhem than you could imagine. For a cozy mystery, it kept this reader on the edge of her seat but did not cause nightmares. I plan on reading the entire series. I received this book for free and this is my honest review.

No Good Tea Goes Unpunished is the second book in the Seaside Cafe mystery series, though it can be enjoyed without reading the first in the series. Everly is busy running an ice tea shop and cafe in the seaside community of Charm on the North Carolina Coast. As a favor to an old high school friend, Everly caters her large beachfront wedding at her seaside home. The wedding is a huge success however when the groom is found floating lifeless in the surf, things take a decidedly darker turn. Suspicion falls heavily on the new bride and of course Everly's handsome detective friend is less than pleased with her involvement in the case however Everly is determined to find the real murderer.

I highly recommend this book for fans of other food themed cozies or those looking for an enjoyable bit of escapism reading. The mystery is well plotted and the characters, especially Everly's aunts, add an extra layer of enjoyment. Many of the hallmark elements of a good cozy mystery series are present, the charming setting, the quirky characters, and of course the handsome detective reluctant to let anyone near the crime scene, however this one felt light and fresh. I look forward to learning more about the residents of Charm, and particularly in finding out where the new romance hinted at in this story might be headed.

NO GOOD TEA GOES UNPUNISHED by Bree Baker is the second book in the Seaside Café Mysteries. It’s the first book I’ve read in this series but it definitely won’t be my last! I found it easy to jump in and felt like I knew the protagonist, Everly Swan, and the supporting characters. I loved the addition of her beekeeping, adorable yet quirky aunts and their quest for submitting the perfect three-minute educational dystopian honeybee apocalypse video to showcase the plight of the honeybees. The author provides humor with bee puns and Everly’s terror of bees, yet I found it sweet how she overcomes her phobia to help the aunts.

Ms. Baker provides just enough backstory without detracting from the central plot, so I didn’t feel lost. The action starts right from the beginning and pulled me in, wanting to find out what happens with the tragic bride. The subplots support the central theme and as the reader progresses through the book, the author provides plenty of twists to keep them guessing. An exciting conclusion wraps the threads up into a satisfying conclusion that had me wanting to read the next one.

I was provided an advance copy via Netgalley with the hopes I would review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Catering her childhood friend's beachfront wedding was a dream come true for Everly Swan. With hundreds of guests in attendance, it was great exposure for her new iced tea shop and café. But when the well-to-do groom is found floating face down in the surf, the locals of Charm, North Carolina, turn their suspicions to his new bride. Could she have been so desperate to lay her hands on his fortune that she arranged for his murder before they even set off on their honeymoon?

Everly knows her love-struck friend couldn't be behind the murder, but with clues pointing in several directions, she can't decide which wedding guest is the most likely culprit. Meanwhile, the frustratingly handsome Detective Hays has made it clear that Everly should stay out of the investigation altogether. With a killer on the loose and a feeling that someone is watching her café very closely, Everly knows that if she can't solve this murder soon, her cake might be iced for good.

Series: Seaside Café Mysteries - Book 2
Author: Bree Baker
Genre: Cozy Mystery/Tea Shop/Culinary
Publisher: Sourcebooks Landmark

With a modern twist on the old-fashioned tea shop, Bree Baker has crafted a deliciously fun mystery. No Good Tea Goes Unpunished, coming soon from Sourcebooks Landmark. This new addition to the series is a marvelous piece of work. It sucks in the reader and keeps hold until the very end.

Everly loves the town of Charm, and it truly is. It has everything a person could ask for and so much more. She has a soft spot for the residents of this seaside tourist town. When her childhood friend asks her to cater her big society wedding, she doesn’t hesitate. Everything goes right on schedule and everyone is enjoying themselves, right up to the moment she finds the groom dead in the water, and his new bride, nowhere to be found.

Characters in this book are as charming as the town. They are well-rounded and likeable. Amelia her best friend, and her two very eccentric aunts bring the story together and make it personal, warm and entertaining. A slight budding romance may be in the works with the local detective. If Everly can ever get over her broken heart and the family curse that says women of the family are not allowed to have love in their life for long. So far, the curse has worked, even if she doesn’t believe in it. Provided of course that she doesn’t get herself killed while trying to help her friend clear her name.

The killer isn’t a big secret, yet many will find the outcome a surprise as to the motive. The plot has enough twists and turns to keep the reader turning the page. It is fast-paced with clues that are easy to understand and follow. No Good Tea Goes Unpunished is a highly enjoyable read that will be hard to put down. I happily recommend this book and series to lovers of other tea/food style cozies, and anyone who wants something new and interesting to read.

This book was really fun. The budding romance is not rushed, which is nice. Loved the characters and all the little mysteries. Loved the family aspect. Really fun read!

The happily ever after did not even make it through the wedding reception when the groom is murdered and the new bride is seen with the murder weapon in her hands. Everly Swan, tea shop owner, was responsible for the reception and now feels responsible to solve the mystery but as some of her suspects become victims she gets more confused about what is really going on.

This story pulls you in immediately with an enticing island setting in North Carolina and an interesting cast of characters. The murder occurs very early in so it will give you a lot of time to use your detective skills to figure out who did it but it will not be obvious. The teasers about the future of these characters leave me looking forward to A Seaside Café Mystery #3.

Thanks to Sourcebooks and NetGalley for an ARC of this book. The opinions expressed are my own.

No Good Tea Goes Unpunished by Bree Baker is a charming cozy murder mystery. This is the second book in the Seaside Cafe Mystery series and can easily be read as a stand alone. In fact I have not read the first book Live and Let Chai. I must admit the story or setting seemed familiar and I wondered if I had read before, or maybe read the first book. With that said I really enjoyed the book.

Everly’s been running Sun, Sand and Tea for several months, and now she’s catering an old friend’s wedding. When the groom turns up dead the first suspect is the bride and Everly wants to help clear Judy as well as save the reputation of Sun, Sand and Tea!

The characters are well developed and the way she describes the town of Charm and the seaside setting really makes you want to pack up and move there. I find Everly, her quirky aunts, and friends, people I would love to be friends with. I found myself invested in the story and wanting to know what happens, to the point of staying up all night to finish it.

I'm looking forward to reading more of the series, and I am grateful to NetGalley for an advance copy in exchange for a honest review.

Imagine living close to the beach in Charm, North Carolina where you can relax and sip iced tea made fresh daily in Everly Swan’s Sun, Sand & Tea Seaside Cafe. It’s as wonderful as it sounds until a beachside wedding ends in the groom’s mysterious murder and the bride’s dress soaked and bloodied. Did his Dearly Beloved stab him to death? Everly wastes no time checking into the grooms past to see if she can figure out who may have had it in for him.

This exciting cozy mystery is steadily paced; the cast of characters entertaining; and the mystery engrossing. This is the second book in this series and I enjoyed it as much as I did the first one. Everly’s great aunts—Clara and Fran—provide chuckles throughout the storyline. An entertaining cozy mystery to read and relax with anytime. The author shares delicious recipes for readers to make at home.

I reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and Sourcebook Landmark. Thank you.

A Cozy at it's best, NO GOOD TEA GOES UNPUNISHED hits the mark with colorful, detailed description that gives readers the perfect visuals to go along with a plot that's exciting enough to keep you turning the page. I love the seaside setting and the characters of Charm, from quirky to sinister to sweet and more. The author fills the mystery with plenty of suspects, making it a true challenge to figure out whodunit. All in all, the second in the Seaside Cafe Mysteries delivers everything you'd want in a cozy mystery.

No Good Tea Goes Unpunished by Bree Baker is a charming cozy murder mystery. I enjoyed this fun story about Everly Swan, local tea shop owner, solving the murder, helping the plight of honeybees, running her tea shop, and being a good friend. The description of the beach scenery and food items made me want to take a trip to the ocean and find Everly’s cafe; the characters - Everly, her aunts, friends, and citizens of Charm make me want to live there. The story was light and funny and exciting and captivating. As someone who has not read the first book in this series Ms. Baker does a wonderful job filling in new readers on the back story.

The setting of the novel is charming (which is unsurprising, given that the town's name is Charm), the characters are interesting, and the whodunnit mystery will keep you guessing until the end. Everly Swan is an assertive amateur detective without being obnoxious about pursuing leads, meaning that she is invested in solving the crime but makes reasonable attempts to keep herself out of avoidable danger. (It's so annoying when novels create suspense by having the protagonist make obviously terrible decisions.) The lead detective, Grady, is likable, and the electricity between him and Everly is fun to watch unfold. This is a great series for cozy fans.
