One of Wolff's best. I particularly enjoyed how it was an interracial couple without making an issue of it. The youth center is enormously appealing, and the sports tie in was timely and sexy. He is an excellent brother, boyfriend, and human being. Thank you for avoiding stereotypes! An excellent book that I will be telling people about through my library connections. Thank you for letting me read it.

I could never really get into this book. Maybe it was because Elara started off n the wrong foot with me. But it was hard for me to warm up to her. Found myself skimming most of it.

I really loved this book. It was nice to see such a strong woman. The hero was pretty adorable as well. I loved her rec center and her passion for that she did. I thought the romance was a little rushed, especially for all the big issues both of them were facing. But their chemistry and connection really sold it

So this book is hot!
Tanner is definetly dreamy - the whole package! Elara does not disappoint on being the perfect woman for him. From the moment these two meet sparks are flying.... some good, some bad...
She barges into his NFL locker room after practice (he’s only wearing a towel) to yell at him about stealing her funding. Only, he didn’t. Nor does he get a chance to tell her this fact. No worries, these two meet again and more sparks fly!

This is book 3 in this series, but can be read on its own. I highly recommend this book and this series!

Okay, I will be honest and say that the cover of this book grabbed me before anything else. BUT, then Tracy Wolff really delivered with the storyline- so I was a fan of not only the cover but the book itself!

Tanner was amazing and sweet and sexy and just all around a great book boyfriend. I loved that Elara made him work for a relationship and that she didn't give in really easy. It made for a good story and a great dynamic between the two of them.

I can't wait for more in this series and from this author.

I received an advanced reader copy to leave an honest review of this book. This is the third book in Tracy's "Lightening" series; I was able to read the prior book in the series also and really enjoyed both. The book is very well written and was a fun, easy read.

This book follows Tanner, a massive and famous football player, and Elara, an ex-WNBA player. Tanner and Elara meet after Elara storms the locker room and reams Tanner a new one for "stealing" all the money from a donor for her charity. Tanner has no idea what she is talking about and is taken 100% by surprise. Being the nice guy that he is, he visits Elara at her rec center to try to make amends. Elara is skeptical but eventually gives him a chance. The two have a fast and furious courtship but both have some issues from their past that they need to deal with. Tanner is way overprotective and Elara needs to have her independence and feel in control. After a major incident where Tanner loses it, Elara gives him the boot...but will he be able to redeem himself?

Very good book and would recommend if you like a good sports romance. I also love that this Elara isn't some tiny little pixie; she an ex-WNBA center so she is 6'2" and a sizeable gal who can't be pushed around. The dainty heroine gets old after awhile. My only complaint about the book I would say is the timeline; when I say it was a fast and furious romance it was in about a two week timeline. Not that romance books are overly realistic anyways but I just had a hard time buying that. Would still recommend though!

Tanner is like the sweetest man, “I can mingle with you on my arm. Believe me, it’d be a huge improvement to my usual one-man show.” Tanner doesn't like when his woman is overly slow on opening her gifts frim him, “Are you serious, woman? We need to get going as it is and you’re going to take twenty minutes opening a darn box that isn’t even wrapped?” I loved this book, Tanner would give his girl the moon if she asked him.

ARC received for review

Tanner was just as yummy and sweet and amazing as I thought he would be. Elara made him work for it. She has a seriously messed up ex. Of course, Tanner messes up, and boy, does he do it big time. True love, of course, conquers all. Loved seeing all the boys and their ladies.

4.5 STARS!!!
Rough and Ready was a sweet sports romance that's light, easy and steamy, with just a tad bit of drama. I loved the characters and the storyline. Tanner and Elara made the perfect couple because they weren't perfect people, but when it came to something or someone they cared about they put 100 percent into their actions. The only thing that stopped me from rating this book 5 stars was that I felt Tanner spent too much effort worrying about Elara's past instead of just focusing on them when he found out what happened. However, even though I wished he hadn't dwelled on Elara's past so much, I absolutely enjoyed this story and I look forward to reading more from this author. Would I recommend this book to romance readers? Yes! I definitely think it's a story worth reading.

A quick and fun read! The characters are sweet and funny. A little snark, sass and fireworks. Each make a few stupid decisions but the relationship plays well and add in a little basketball and football and you have a winning combination.

Hello, Tanner. I mean, can you say romance? The flowers....just read this book and see the flower delivery and tell me you didn't swoon a little. Elara is the perfect match for him and I just love this series!

This is the third book in this series and we have all been waiting for Tanner's story, he captured our interest since the first book and I was dying to know about him. I have to say that when Elara first made her opinion I could not stand her, and I never really got her justification for her confrontation, she was wrong that soured my opinion of her. Tanner is awesome and the whole time you want him to get whatever he wants, unfortunately he wants Elara. As the story continues you start worming up to her and she did go thru a traumatic time and she luckily meets and has Tanner. It is always fun to read of the previous characters, so I am thinking this is it for this bunch.
