This is the third book in this must-read series I really enjoyed the first two books and this one did not disappoint. It is another fantastic read with plenty of twists that will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat, you will be hooked right until the very last page. I would recommend this book but it must be read in order.

As much as I liked the first two parts of the Fate series, I really had a hard time completing this last part. Where the first two parts where also full of suspense, this last story of Declan was of a much darker sort. It was a depressing read and I almost gave up midway to the book. The suspense however kept me going, but I have skipped the explicit scenes where Declan is actually torturing people. I just couldn't stomach these scenes, they where too much.
The story itself is full of twists and turns and the total story is absolutely epic. Looking back, I don't know if I would have started this last part. You can enjoy the first two parts without Declan's story I think. But if you want to find out about Declan, then you probably also want to read this last part for the closure.
Two out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Cruel Twist of Fate by Author Heidi Lis is a nail-biter type of read that you cannot wait to see what is going to happen next and surely can't put the book down. This is a phenomenal read that you will want to read over and over again. This book was stunning, riveting and suspenseful until the very last line.

I had no idea when I got this book that it was the third book in a trilogy and not just part of a series of standalones. So, of course, I was lost in the story and didn't know what was going on. I will set it aside until I read books 1 and 2 and then come back to it. I do think it should be said in the synopsis that this is the final book in the series and not a standalone.

I did not like the writing in the first book and DNF very early on. It had no depth and was very amateurish. Will not read this one.
