I learned about Tesla when I was an aide in a science classroom. It was amazing to me that he was not better known. This book helped me understand how a brilliant scientist was a victim of publicity stunts and pride. I enjoyed reading about the fight and the politics behind the science.

This informative, gripping story reveals the rivalry between Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse to light the world. Intriguing, too, is the unique role of. Nikolai Tesla. By foreshadowing that the book will shed light on the race between these men, the author keeps the reader’s interest in finding out what happened, while providing new information to think about. A substantive book that raises moral issues about the goals and purposes that motivated these men, while still celebrating their great accomplishments. Interesting photographs. Useful references.
