The book can be quite repetitive and “obvious”. A more succinct writing style could reduce the unnecessarily long (400 pages) book. However, it is sprinkled with useful tips and resources so all in all, a valuable tool for navigating today’s musical landscape.

I rounded up to 4 stars doe the sheer volume of ideas the authors provided. It certainly set my imagination working. I mistakenly requested this book, thinking it might apply to my Music majoring nephew. He was a performance major and a music theory graduate student. This book is more aimed at the solo artist or band, which I would have known had I read the entire synopsis. The authors write conversationally and, as I said, they provided many many avenues for artists to select from.

A very good reference book about the Music Industry. The author well exposed the challenges and the tactics used by the managers, CEO, artists and others professionals around the world of the music.
