I adore a good sci-fi or fantasy story which is the genre where False Gods falls.

Much of the premise is good, but the overall story seemed a bit disjointed at times. It was as if the character development was thrown in between action scenes. All the references to times before the current one indicated that I'd missed the first book. Maybe if I had read that first it would have flowed a bit better.

Something I did enjoy was the way that the author wove in the idea of Greek gods being from the Nephilim. Along with that were all the different angels and the fallen angels as well.

As to why I'm finally leaving a review: This one got lost on my Kindle for reading because the copy did not keep the title or author information. Hence, the review more than 2 years after getting approved.

False Gods left me wanting more. More story, more character development - just more. The author took a risk with opening the book with such a high action but in doing so risked loosing the reader in the muddled mess of action with characters that I for one, didn't care about. I feel that the premise of the book is incredibly interesting but could have used more time in the build up of the plot and higher scenes. Overall, the book didn't hold my interest and left me trying to decipher what the author was trying to convey.

I think the author did a good job and i look forward to reading the rest of the series.

False Gods by Yolanda Ramos, a well written supernatural fantasy that quickly pulls you in and takes you into the life of Cormac the seventh Sentinel as he fights on the side of right. Put it on your to-read list.
