As the author has been revealed to be toxic and abusive, I will not be reviewing this title, nor will I be taking a feedback hit by using the button meant for that response. It’s not my fault they can’t behave properly.

I have been taking far too long to review this book but as relatively recent evens have unfolded (2020, I'm not sure whether it was weeks or months or years ago), regarding Brooke's behaviour towards other people, I cannot rate this book nor am I writing a longer review.

I would like to thank NineStar Press, LLC and Netgalley for this partnership.

I was immediately attracted to the cover of this book, you can see the young Brooklyn girl holding a snyper in her hand.

Brooklyn saw her worst nightmare come true: captured and then put in isolation, trapped in Juneau Maloy's labyrinth. She has a contract that either stipulates release or puts her through a terrible trial.

I loved this story so captivating and full of suspense and twists and turns with engaging characters. Too bad I didn't read the first volume that would probably have given me more information.

I went into this not realising that this was the second in a series. I picked up what had happened quickly when the story began and really enjoyed the world building the Brooke had. There was a wide variety of characters and this book was action packed. It was so quick and the moments of slowness really contrasted the action and the danger. I don't get why this is under the LBGT+ tag as there doesn't seem to be much if any, bar one encounter. That was the only downside for this book that is worth noting.

Surprised yet again with what this series delivers.
I love that I'm not spoon fed and that there are twists which I didn't predict.
The characters are growing and developing more layers, becoming not exactly who you think they are.
Well written, interesting, exciting and just a little bit different.

I had a bit of trouble with this one, so please take this review with a grain of salt!

Unfortunately, when I requested an ARC copy of this novel via Netgalley, I did not realize that it was a book 2 of a trilogy. It is completely my fault, but I jumped into this with no knowledge or previous experience of the characters or their situations. About a chapter or two in, I realized that I was really missing parts of the story, and actively searched out more info / reviews / recaps of book 1. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to read book 1 myself, and I think this really skewed my thoughts and feelings on this novel. As a standalone book, this was quite confusing at times, but again, this is not the fault of the author or publisher though, and I take all blame. It took me a lot longer than my usual 1 day norm to read this one, and I found myself just putting it off.

That being said, this book is high drama, fast-paced action, and thrills galore in a completely dystopian setting. Brooklyn and friends are put to the test, going through a number of trials and simulations to test their wills. I found myself wondering on many occasions why, but it became clear that once Brooklyn was given an opportunity to save her friends in exchange for giving up her own freedom by staying with Isolation. This novel has action galore, and really packs a punch in such a short time span!

I found myself becoming a bit lost with all of the different character names, but again, this could also be because I didn't read book 1 first. Also nit-picky, but this book was tagged as LGBT in Netgalley and I really think that's a stretch. I can see bisexual tendencies / polyamory in these characters, but I would really tag this more as YA/Dystopian, and not a LGBT novel. With my personal reading preferences, I would not have picked this up without really being in the mood for this type of novel had I known. For lovers of the dystopian genre though, do as I say and not as I did, and go pick up book 1 first, THEN read this one! In my jaded opinion, 3.5 stars.

*I received a free ARC copy via Netgalley in exchange for a honest review*

I received this book as an ARC courtesy of Net Galley and Nine Star Press!
ECHO Campaign is the second installment in the Isolation series and boy what an installment! It started off strong and jumped right in where Omen Operation left off! This book was much more terminator meets Stranger things then the first but I was in no way sorry. Kick ass characters, almost none stop action, a corrupt company? Yes Please!! I also Loved how much more we got to get to know our characters and what I in the first book referred to as a love square was much more than and better explained as a polyamorous relationship which I loved seeing and learning all about in a fresh at( lest to me) way! I also loved the new characters that were introduced and how they integrated with our original cast. I Almost cried at the cliffhanger of an ending and was very thankful for the sneak peek of the next installment which I am eagerly awaiting! Way to go Taylor Brooke! Can't wait till next time!!
