A very well written journey of an experienced woman sailor, Kaci Cronkhite, wooden boat enthusiast and her personal experience with buying her first wooden boat. Through her writing the reader easily feels what she felt along her 7 plus year search for the lost history of her 1930's 28 foot Danish Spidsgatter (aka double ender). The relationship between reader and boat developes as one would between two human beings. The connection between boat communities is clearly made evident within her writings. A must read for not only the wooden boat community, but also for us "plastic" boat owners. Kaci is great inspiration for women who sail and do their own work and for boat owners to discover their boat's history. -@afamilyafloat

A touching story of a woman's passion for a boat and all its previous owners. The author researched the boat's history and found its past owners and their families. A different angle to maritime history. Lots of pictures are included to enhance the narrative,
