Thank you to Avon Books UK and NetGalley for an e-ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

It was exciting to apply for a book that you could not see the cover, author, or title on! I hope that there are more of these in the future.

This book was off the hook! Going into it, I wasn't sure what the title had to do with the story...but as it unfolded, it made perfect sense.

I especially loved the twists and the ending was a nail biter. I will definitely be recommending this to my friends!

This book had a good twisty plot line, and I didn’t quite see the end but I kind of had an inkling. The plot was solid as well as the writing, and there was some suspense and definitely more than a little creepiness. I’m not sure if I was just expecting it to be more, but it was still a good read. I'll keep the secret and wait until Halloween to post my reviews publicly.

AMAZING NOVEL. I finished it in two days! Wow and the ending was such a shock... I still am in awe of the author's writing and intensity of the story. The characters were amazing, the main character seemed so real and she was one of the best ones I've read in a while. Excellent ending, I mean you cannot be more surprised in a novel then this one. I didn't see it coming!

I loved the premise of keeping this book secret until Hallowe’en, and was also very much looking forward to reading it as I love creepy, unnerving stories.

However, in reality I was very unsure about this book. Although it was twisty, full of dysfunctional characters and sometimes quite unsettling, the story didn’t absorb me and suck me into it. At times I felt bored and even speed-read some sections.

I can’t put my finger on what was lacking and why this book didn’t quite hit the mark for me, but although it wasn’t my cup of tea I’m sure lots of people will love it.

I was incredibly intrigued by the book and it 100% lived up to my expectations! It was so mysterious and just great in general.

Talk about a slow burn! It’s a good book, more mystery than thriller but a tad too slow for me. I will hold off on the review as requested. Thanks netgally and the publisher for including me in this mystery read!

The Cuckoo by Sophie Draper is a creepy psychological thriller that had me hooked.
After the death of her stepmother Caro returns to her childhood home to work on her paintings and clear out the house to be sold.
While she is there she has recurring nightmares of her childhood and there are creepy things happening at the house.
Could the place be haunted or is Caro losing her mind? This story was slow building and atmospheric, a perfect read for Halloween.
I would like to thank NetGalley and Avon Books UK for my e-copy in exchange for a honest review.

Thank you netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
However, since I need to keep the secret, I will have to update my review after publication.

I really enjoyed the book. Would recommend.

I received an ARC of Can you keep a secret. While the main character, Caro had a fascination with family takes, I have none, so I found myself skipping though paragraphs and sometimes pages that included stories that could not keep my attention. While the stories tied into the premise of the book, they distracted me from an interesting story. The twist toward the end of the book was not foreseen. I found the last pages gripping and they kept me engaged until the very end. I almost wish for a sequel to find out where the main character ends up and how the story progresses.

Yes, like all the others, I can keep the secret! I loved it and can't wait to talk about it though as it's a bit gothic, a bit fairy tale, and plenty of suspense, unreliable narrators, secrets and lies--all of my favorites! And what a cool idea for all of us readers to keep our own secret--especially knowing how book nerds love to talk about books! But I will wait till Halloween for all my reviews!

Fairytales aren’t always for children - and neither is this psychological thriller about estranged siblings and a dysfunctional family. A very unique storyline featuring a pear drum, a nasty stepmom and a deeply disturbed young woman. I loved it from start to finish!

I can keep a secret... until Halloween and then I will publish my review. I will recommend this though! What a chilling, creepy book. I do understand why some people did not love this but I sure did.

This was creepy! The characters are evil! The narrator is an odd one, suffering from memory loss, somewhat unreliable. Her job as an illustrator for children’s books is woven into this story masterfully. Throughout the story there are snippets of fairy tales and these are the traditional, dark and haunting, tales. The descriptions of her paintings that accompany these awful stories were so vivid I could picture them.

There isn’t a tremendous amount of action, a more slow and subtle buildup. There are a few twists and things begin to unravel and then they burst wide open. The ending was pretty good and worked well with the story. This was more mystery than thriller, it was haunting and different and I appreciated it very much.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author, and Avon Books UK for a copy in exchange for a honest review.

Sorry but this just wasn't my type of book, not gripping enough for me and I found it very hard to get into it fully and ended up doing a lot of skim reading.

I am sure many readers will really enjoy this book but it wasn't for me, sorry.

Throughout this book, I kept hearing Meredith Grey saying, "dark and twisty". That's what this book is. But, it's an incredible story of family, sisters, relationships, and determining who you can trust. The author is so descriptive and paints a scene so you can actually see and feel what these sisters are going through. It twists and turns (remember, Meredith Grey) but it's a heck of a ride!

Hated the ending. Glad Caitlin was found and safe but didn't like the back thoughts or back dreams. Several thinks in this book were troublesome, one specifically being the need to identify and kill the dog on the side of the road.....

I read this book courtesy of an early copy thanks to Netgalley!

I say read.... but I rarely have to do this.

This book was just not for me!
Sorry!! I have given up within the first 10 chapters. Nothing gripping, drawn out for as far as I got and not a good enough storyline to have me locked in from the start. I rarely find a phsycological thriller that I can not get in to.

Thank you for the advanced copy. I'm sure it's a good read for some. But I personally wouldn't recommend.

A story about family secrets, deception and revenge. A good book which was slow to start. It picked up halfway through with several twists and turns and an excellent ending.

I loved this debut Pschological Thriller! I never knew who to trust, so many hidden secrets and lies which are kept from one another.
A very cleverly woven story which kept me glued to my phones pages for a pleasurable few days. Highly recommended and I cannot wait to see its cover in October!
