I have never read anything by this author and seriously I want to go grab another book from her if they are all like this. She has a way of getting to the heart of the matter and that was very much through out this book. My heart broke for Evie she has such and amazing story. I can also say once Flynn told his story I could see why the author wrote these two characters so perfectly, just two broken souls each searching for something but not wanting to much from either. I will say that since I have read Flynn's story I want too read his siblings stories in hopes that they too find there happily ever afters. This book ended the series perfectly it totally summed up all the other books and in the end if left me wanting so much more and also I fell in love with the characters all over again. The book does have strong and adult language and scenes.

The Rodeo Cowboy's Baby some sass, some wit, some drama, and some heartbreak are all part of the story by Heidi Rice. It is an entertaining story and from the title it is obvious that the one weekend at the 79th Copper Mountain Rodeo has some lasting effects for Evie and Flynn.

I liked the characters, especially Evie as she visited Marietta. She had definitely lost her groove, with Flynn being the man to help her find it. However, I wondered how they were going to make it as a couple since they are so very different in nature, styles, goals and their approaches to life. No doubt when Evie learns that the town has been treated unfairly, so she acts with honor. Of course, Flynn does too so perhaps they were not so different after all.

An interesting read with one of the best descriptions of the rodeo and the town. It was as if I was there seeing the views, Charlie’s ranch, and taking in the rodeo. I was fascinated seeing all of this through Evie’s eyes which makes it a worthwhile read, even if you are not into cowboys, rodeos or “baby makes three” stories.

This was a likable book that was mostly forgettable, except for Flynn's family. Overall, Evie and Flynn are too much insta-lust and insta-love to do the emotional side much justice. The backstories for both Evie and Flynn were fraught enough that time spent on that would have been a tremendous asset to this book.

Evie's got serious problems, not the least of which is the complete loss of her self-confidence thanks to an unknown fertility issue and the dissolution of her marriage. Her editor only exacerbates her problems, threatening Evie's livelihood as a columnist.

So, Evie dutifully heads to Marietta for the rodeo and meets Flynn. Flynn's reactions are actually rather funny, especially his first impression. But Flynn today is mostly a black box. Thankfully his backstory provides some answers, though not enough.

This is an accidental pregnancy story, but it comes at the end, so we don't get much time to see Evie and Flynn deal with pregnancy or a baby. We do get an epilogue that helps with that, though, so score!

I really want to meet Flynn's siblings and read their stories, especially Gabe's. This has all the makings of a great new family series. I enjoyed seeing some of the other characters from the 79th Copper Mountain Rodeo series as well as Charlie and Logan. Overall, a decent book I enjoyed, but could have been way better.

This book is just ok, not bad, but nothing to knock your socks off either.

I found Evie (our heroin) likable but a bit on the annoying side and felt like her character was not very fleshed out. Flynn (our hero) was mostly likable, but I never really felt any connection to his character or between him and Evie.

Overall, the book seemed rushed and oddly paced. Even though the book is a typical HEA, I found myself questioning how long their relationship would really last because I never felt like I was given any foundation for their relationship or really even how they complemented each other's lives.

Its rodeo weekend in Marietta and Evie Donnelly has arrived from New York City to write a feature on hot rodeo cowboys her newspaper column. Her boss wants a juicy story since Evie lost a lot of readers after her marriage ended. Evie had no idea she would be living a real life fantasy when her friend Charlie introduced her to Flynn O’Connell, a calf roper, who is known as the kind of guy who always ends up in bed with a woman on the first date. Sure enough, that’s what happened. But, Evie and Flynn's fling ends with consequences neither could have predicted.

I enjoyed his story quite a bit. Both characters had emotional backgrounds that really added to the story. I liked the setting and secondary characters. The book was fast paced and fun to read.

3.5 Stars- This was a terrific tale. Woman who has lost herself in the pursuit of a baby in her failed marriage. She goes out to Marietta for the Grand Opening of the Rodeo. There she ends up being with a wonderful Cowboy who was so much more then she ever thought.

A delight

A rollicking wild ride with Flynn and Evie. The mixture of Montana cowboy lingo, British lingo, and Irish lingo is hilarious. It shows supreme versatility on the part of the author. There is a whole lot of sizzling steamy scenes that add spice and flavor to the story. The epilogue is a very nice touch. Filled with many great characters.

That rodeo in Marietta, Montana sure is a fabulous matchmaker. Once again it has worked its magic. Newspaper columnist Evie Donnelly is in Marietta, having come all the way from New York, to write a dating column for the Brooklyn Voice. Her editor has sent her to cover the rodeo in Marietta to find "new meat" because her column has become stale after her divorce - a divorce due to too much pressure to have a baby. Since word is out that her ex-husband and his girlfriend are expecting a baby Evie is crushed to learn the infertility was her problem. After lots of tests her doctor couldn't tell why she was infertile though. All the tests were inconclusive. Evie's friend who now lives in Marietta tries to set her up with a real sexy cowboy for a weekend fling. Flynn O'Connell is just the cure for Evie's blues. Evie says, "No." But Flynn is just too hard to resist. Their three night fling ends with Evie walking away without even a goodbye to Flynn. She has fallen for him and can't face saying goodbye. After all it was just a fling - Evie and Flynn both agreed to that. Now what happens...

I have read a number of the Marietta, Montana rodeo stories by various authors. This one is truly delightful. It has great characters, an emotional backstory for both the heronie and the hero, lots of conflict and a very satisfying resolution to the conflict. The author, Heidi Rice is a new-to-me author. I like her writing style and will be looking for more of her books.

The Rodeo Cowboy’s Baby is a quick read that is perfect if you love rodeos, cowboys and romance. It is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I enjoy all the books in this series. Evie and Flynn have a brief fling during the rodeo, but there are lasting consequences. Heidi Rice brings the heat with these characters.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love the Marietta Montana Cowboys and (almost) all of the stories that are written about them! However, this was not my favorite book and it mainly had to do with the vocabulary that the author used. I completely understand that the main character (Evie) is from Ireland, but there were all kinds of words that the author used throughout the book that had no place in a contemporary romance - ie fortnight.

I have a hard time criticizing someone who has worked so hard for their craft, but it is my HONEST review. The story wasn’t bad - Flynn and Evie kept things hot and heavy.
I will continue to read and love the books based on the Marietta Men, but I will probably avoid this author in the future.

The fifth and final book in the 79th Copper Mountain Rodeo series, The Rodeo Cowboy’s Baby introduces us to a couple who are left with a permanent reminder of their hot and heavy weekend fling. And, as is always the case with Tule’s multi-author series’, it can easily be enjoyed as a stand-alone.

“He’s selective and exclusive. He just doesn’t do long term. And, best of all, I guarantee he will rock your world.”

I’ve read a fair few now from Heidi Rice and she’s always delivered on the sexy which that was certainly the case between journalist, Evie and rodeo cowboy, Flynn. But at the same time something felt off between them and that I think fell down to the pacing of a story which didn’t offer much in terms of depth for me and rather than flow, was very clearly split into three sections—the hook-up, the conflict and the resolution. Enjoyable enough, but not a favourite from the author, however with Flynn’s siblings mentioned, I’m interested to see if there’s more to come from the O’Connell family.

3 - "You’re a much better ride than my horse…" Stars.

I generally enjoy my visits back to the town of Marietta, Montana, although being more sporadic of late due to the reads being presented from the locale getting lower and lower on the enjoyment levels. I am a huge fan of Heidi Rice though, so jumping in on the fifth book of The 79th Copper Mountain Rodeo series gave me hope that this would be an enjoyable sojourn.

"Hot dudes on horses, and bulls. It’s what big city girls dream about..."

I think the title of the book; The Rodeo Cowboy’s Baby give yous a pretty good idea of the theme of this story, and I personally am all for unplanned pregnancies in my romance, especially when you take a H/h like Evie and Flynn, because a three day love affair, does not a relationship make but that is usually what makes the story all the better, sadly not on this occasion, and if I am honest it didn’t really do much more than give a few good sex scenes between them.

She didn’t do rural or small town…

I am not sure what it is with Tule titles of late, but everything seems to just miss the spot, authors that I in general get on with really well just don’t seem to deliver when published through them, and once again I find myself scratching my head as to why. Heidi is one of my go-to authors for a bit of hot romance, with a charming, devil-may-care Hero, and a sassy Heroine. While I liked Flynn, I didn’t love him, and Evie, I liked less and less as the book progressed.

"You’re beginning to sound like a martyr."

Readable, but nowhere near the reading quality I usually associate with this author.

The Rodeo Cowboy's Baby by Heidi Rice, a sweet addition to The 79th Copper Mountain Rodeo series. I've enjoyed everyone of the books in this series and this one didn't disappoint me.

79th Copper Mountain Rodeo continues to be AMAZING with Heidi Rice's book The Rodeo Cowboy's Baby.
Evie is in a slump with her column and with life her editor sends her from New York to the Rodeo in Montana to write a story about all things Rodeo. When she gets there and Flynn overhears her telling her friend Charlie about how Farmers don't know how to please a woman. Flynn is furious but in lust. In returning to New York her editor revamps her story and hell breaks loose. Will Flynn and Evie survive this even with the news she needs to tell him? This is such an excellent book and Series a must read.

Books set in Marietta inevitably bring a satisfying read. On cover and concept, they seem simple, but the authors often spin something more layered and enjoyable than I go in expecting.

It wasn't until I got to the end of this e-read from NetGalley that I learned Heidi is UK-based. I thought it pretty amazing someone so far away from the heart of Tule Publishing should accomplish a book that fits well into the cannon of the Marietta world.

Awesome book! This is book five in the “The 79th, Copper Mountain Rodeo Series”. And the end of this series, you can read this book as a stand-alone or as part of the series.
This book is about past hurts, a sneaky publisher, a oops pregnancy, and learning to trust again.
This is a must read!

Very good book. Wonderful characters who come alive in the pages. A book you won't be able to put down. Very enjoyable book.

If you're wondering when the baby bit enters this book, the answer is 78%. For me, that pacing doesn't really work - I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop the entire time. While this was REALLY sexy, I was more interested in the emotional dynamics between the two of them, and having the fatherhood confrontation that late in the book didn't give me time to believe they could build a HEA on this.

This is the fifth book in this series by this author. This is the first book by this author that I've read, I'll definitely be reading more. A lovely story with very lovable characters. I read this book in no time, I was hooked from the first page. I can't wait to read more by this author in the future.

Highly recommended

Although a quick story, I really enjoyed this one of Flynn and Evie. She has come to Marietta, Montana to write a story for her newspaper column in NYC. She has a good friend in Charlie, who is living with her boyfriend Logan on their ranch, and Flynn works for them. Sparks fly, misunderstands occur. and all is resolved at the end. Typical, but fun read anyway. Hard to put this one down, and one I highly recommend. Love seeing the other characters show up too, and see how they are doing.
