This was a really cute read and I enjoyed it. It was really interesting and held my attention all the way through. A fast-paced read with lots of twists and turns this book will keep you hooked right until the end. It was well written and had plenty of steam at times and enjoyed it and cannot wait to try more from this author.

Holly has been married for years to Tom. However, she is not having the attention she deserves by his husband. He is too worried about climbing up the ladder at work. She starts a new job where she meets Aiden an ex-con. He is sweet and treats her well, but…
Well, in fact, I don’t know what to say about this book. I have opposed feelings. I don’t understand why Holly puts up with Tom and his issues. I don’t understand why, out of the blue, Aiden does what he does. I have no idea about where the author wants to go. Maybe there is a clue in the second book.
I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy given to me by NetGalley.

Holly is married to Tom and they have a very rocky relationship as Tom gets higher in the corporate ladder. Holly is feeling disconnected and believes Tom is having an affair with his boss. There is no proof but she just has this gut feeling. Then she is given a shock when Tom's boss tells her about the move that Holly has no idea about. When on vacation they run into Tom's boss and she sees Tom snorting coke she has just about had it. She shuts down and just starts doing her own thing. Tom physically abuses her at one point, sexually abuses her at one point and absolutely verbally abuses her all the time.

Holly works as a Parole Officer and she meets Aiden and falls head over heels over him. She can't seem to function at work but yet even though she is mad at Tom she wants sex and since she can't have it with Aiden she trys with Tom.

Holly is then kidnapped right after a tense situation at work. Come to find out it is Aiden that kidnaps her because he can't stop thinking about her and he leaves no traces. At first she is nervous but then boom she is soooo happy.

Ok, this book was ok but so childish and high school feeling. There really isn't any depth to any one. Holly comes across as a spoiled Texan (which is mentioned many times about how she was raised) that has no control over her emotions, Tom is a drug hungry corporate climber, and Aiden is an ex-con with many secrets.

I love reading about the Outback and was really looking for forward to this book. Holly is an American who moved to Australia to be close to Tom, her boyfriend who becomes her husband. Tom is moving up in the company he works for, but there's a big fly in the ointment. It's Beth, Tom's boss. She seems overly friendly with Tom and keeps making suggestive remarks about Tom to Holly. Holly believes they are having an affair and Tom is definitely using drugs. Holly is a Parole Officer. Aiden is one of her parolees. He is a ripped, young man who Holly finds very attractive and thinks about him all the time. While Tom is away on business, Holly is bound with tape and taken, kidnapped by Aiden. After a day, Holly decided that she wants to stay with him. She's s kidnapped by a felon and thinks it's OK? I don't understand how this is a love match. It sounds more like Stockholm Syndrome to me. There is a major cliffhanger. I won't read the next book in the series. I was quite disappointed. I received this book from Net Galley and the publisher for a honest review and no compensation otherwise.

Book 1 in Stella Nights series Taken Outback. Stella provides a different twist to the traditional romance story. Our protagonist finds herself in a marriage that's lacking and in her journey to address her problems stumbles into a unique situation. Set in rural australia, Taken Outback is a solid read that will have you asking if I was put in the same situation, what choice would I make.

Intriguing and haunting Australian romantic fiction. Enjoyed learning things about the country and the well written story. Liked the real life issues including, non-communication, secrets & abuse. Tom & Holly were both weak, making them more real to me. Lisa & Beth seem the strongest characters. Didn't expect the story to just end so suddenly; lowered the rating for me.
Voluntarily read ARC, through Netgalley & publisher, for honest review.

Cliffhanger! Thank goodness I have the next episode ready to go.

The story is building... we're learning all about the characters. I dislike Tom and, at this point, hope for the best for Holly and Aidan. So far, a wonderful love story. Holly is finally learning to relax and take what she deserves. What comes next? I can't wait to see.....Although I'd rather not see it being episodic, I like it.

This book has been gifted to me by the publisher and the author in return for an honest review.

Taken Outback is my first read by Stella Knights and what a wonderful story it was! The descriptive component was spot on, and the characters portrayals were real and heartfelt. I can’t wait to read the next in this series and look forward to being a regular reader of Ms Knights in the future.
