There was a sub-genre of science fiction in the sixties and seventies that tried to cater to the sex, drugs, and/or rock and roll crowd. I think they were mostly written by young men for slightly younger men. They seemed to have free rein over their content. I recall one such title where future bikers worshipped old rock lyrics, similar to Jack Kirby's Kamandi and the Watergate tapes. Anyway, this book is like those.
It seems odd that this book has a publication date of 2012 and is just hitting NetGalley now.
