This was a cute title with aspects of the characters I can relate to. The women are 'of a certain age' which means a different perspective on life than someone in their 20s or 30s. They are all connected through belly dancing. And they struggle with their relationships, trying to find love where they can.

While not a book I'd be quick to recommend, it was still a fun read for me.

this book simply was not for me - I am sure i sent feedback once already but here it is.

I have no idea what the author set out to tell us in this Novel (I use the word with caution). There is nothing about this book that I can recommend and I am stunned that there are 2 books preceding it in a series. The narrative is noticeable only by its absence. The characterisation is awful. The whole thing is a mess. I am constantly amazed that people will read this sort of book and indeed, that they will rate as anything over than rubbish.

I suppose this was just not one i should have chosen to try, I am sorry net galley but i could not understand the premise of this book

British humour as its best! Sehr lustig und sehr speziell, gefälliger Sprachstil und viel zu lachen. Prima Unterhaltung, auch wenn man die beiden ersten Bände nicht kennt.

An Indian-themed wedding in Scotland. What could go wrong? Everything! And it does. A very funny book with endearing characters.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were wonderfully eccentric and the premise of an Indian-themed wedding in Scotland provided many opportunities for good laughs! The story was well-written and flowed effortlessly for me. I do not recommend this book as a stand alone book as the other books in the series contribute to making this one so much fun! I received a copy from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

This was a very entertaining read. Told from the perspective of Nefertiti, the trials and tribulations of her best friend Mavis" wedding plans gone seriously awry. It was a bit confusing at times with the long cast of characters, but this was the first book I have read in this series and probably contributed. Well written.

This was a funny and relatable story of love, family, and friendship. In Four Takeaways and a Funeral, Mavis and Lumpy are getting married. That is if they could agree on anything about their wedding. Lumpy wants the wedding to be all about spice but Mavis has different ideas for the wedding. Eventually, a meddling relative and their differences bring a wedge between them. For the most part you are kept wondering if there will even be a wedding.

This is the third book in the Belly dancing and Beyond series. I must admit that I haven’t read the previous books but this did not affect my reading in any way. The likable characters and the relatable way the author writes them was the best part of this book.

The descriptions in the book were vivid, and well written especially that of the food. Apart from Biryani, I don’t think that I have ever seen most of the food written in this book. This did not stop me from picturing them and even wondering how delicious they would taste. There was an issue of missing letters when it came to some words in the book but these were minor mistakes.

This was a quick and relaxing read that I would recommend to someone looking for something to read. Readers of Women’s fiction will also enjoy this particular book.
