A Year of Extraordinary Moments is a book that draws you in from the very beginning and keeps you engrossed in the story until the last sentence. It is a powerful story of love, relationships, tough love, doing what is best, and moving forward. Always moving forward. Bette Lee Crosby holds your attention and makes you think of how it will all resolve itself in the end. I highly recommend this book!

This book had so many true life up and downs, Every one of them true. Miss Alice and Tracy were both very strong and determine women. fighting for what they believed in.

Oh my gosh, what an absolutely wonderful book! I had a hard time putting this down. There were so many interesting parts with the story of Tracy and Dominic and their beloved son, Lucas, who was born deaf and had a cochlear implant. Deadbeat dad Dominic who wanted nothing to do with his son until a carrot was dangled in front of him to maybe step up, all for the wrong reasons.
Sisters who had been so devoted to their deceased father in wanting to continue his magazine so he would be proud of them. I loved grandma Alice and her struggles with cancer and how she’ reached out to Lucas. I was crying reading about Alice and her struggles. The wonderful work of Gabriel and his school for the deaf. All the scenarios in this book are so relatable to real life. Love can always find a way into the story and showing us how sometimes you need to let go of your past. I definitely recommend this book and give it 5 stars! I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Nobody does a generational family saga better than Bette Lee Crosby and A Year of Extraordinary Moments is no exception. It is a follow up to The Summer of New Beginnings where you first meet these characters. This is a heartwarming story that will have you laughing and crying. I was so sad when this book ended because I didn’t want to leave these families. Don’t miss this one. It’s a treasure that I highly recommend.

Bette Lee Crosby has written another hit! I absolutely loved A Year of Extraordinary Moments. I read it in two days and didn’t want it to end. This book seriously touched on all my emotions. I laughed, was scared and even cried while reading it. The characters are very well written. This is the second book in the Magnolia Grove series but can be read as a stand-alone.

Tracy is a single Mother who has moved on with her life when her ex boyfriend comes back to town to help his ailing grandmother. This story is about how she deals with her new live, past relationship, her family and the new family members who enter her life. I highly recommended this book to all who appreciate a real life story. Thank you to Netgalley who provided an advanced readers copy for me to read and write an honest review.

This book can be read on it's own as well. Bette Lee Crosby writes amazing stories. They grab your heart and hold it long after the last word has been read. This story was impossible to put down.

This is my first book by MS. Crosby, but will not be my last.
Even though this is the second book in a series, I felt I had all the information I needed about the characters.
Those characters are well-developed. You get a feel for the ideals, true nature, etc. of each person .
Good plot line, with enough twists to make it Intriguing,without a lot of extra drama.
I like the way the author switched the point of view between the main characters, giving more insight into the thoughts of each.
The last chapter was the perfect wrap up, and brought a tear to my eye.
I definitely will be getting more of Ms. Crosby's
books.

Bette Lee Crosby is an amazing author, Her personality shines in this book and she is an amazing story teller. Her characters seem life like and people you would like to meet. You want to cheer them on throughout the book.
The Briggs family is the kind of people you would want for neighbors. I really enjoyed how far the Briggs family has come, and grown in this book. I also felt a little sorry for Alice DeLuca, and how Dominic treats her. She has a rough life and now battling terminal cancer. I am so glad that she was able to form a relationship with Lucas.
You also get a little more of a background story on Dominic. I did feel like I understood his anger issues a little more, but he is still responsible for his poor choices.
The ending of this book is perfect. Everything is tied up with a pretty bow, and leaves you with feeling good, I also suggest keeping a few tissues handy. You will need them.

Once again Crosby writes a winner! I love her books - I can feel the emotions of each person as I read.
Grandma is ill and asks her grandson to come home. She wants everything I place before she passes.
Her grandson is irresponsible and has a child with Tracy who he has never helped.
The beautiful boy has a hearing disorder and through this she meets Gabriel, at a hearing school - and they fall in love.
The story of their growing love and the love of the child makes for extraordinary moments.
Grandma Alice wants to be a part of the boys life. The times they share are treasured times and melt your heart.
Dominic continues to be a problem but in the end Grandma is able to handle him.
You will love this book and treasure each and every emotion that you go through as you read it.

I read an ARC of A Year of Extraordinary Moments and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is the second book in this series and it was nice to see what was happening in the lives of these very likeable characters. As always, Bette Lee Crosby tells a delightful story with a couple of interesting twists and surprises. I look forward to finding out what happens next!

Bette Lee Crosby knows how to write books that keep you glued to your seat. A wonderful book with great characters that grab you in, and have you wanting to know more about them. I love Tracy Brigg's growth throughout the book, realizing her true passion, and coming to grips with everything that is thrown her way. Her sister Meghan is also a wonderful character, and we learned a lot about her as well. Dominic, the father of Tracy's son, shows his true colors. Alice, Dominic's grandmother who is gravely ill, is a beautiful person who only wants to make sure everything is right before she passes on. This book grabbed my attention, and I couldn't stop reading it. I highly recommend A Year of Extraordinary Moments.

I was so excited to receive a copy of A Year of Extraordinary Moments by Bette Lee Crosby! This story follows The Summer of New Beginnings, where we meet the Briggs family. After losing their husband and father, Lila and her two daughters, Meghan and Tracy try to start over without him. Meghan was planning to become a journalist, but instead she takes over her father's business. She later rescues a dog she names Sox and falls in love with a veterinarian. Now Meghan has become a vet assistant and settled in to married life. Meanwhile, Tracy has returned home after a failed relationship and with a son who they learn is deaf.

Extraordinary moments happen to the family with the introduction of an elderly woman and her impact on the family, the return of Tracy's ex who is bent on taking whatever he can, and the relationship between the two sisters.

I orignally felt Meghan was the more responsible sister, but this story showed me how much someone like Tracy can grow and evolve in to a fascinating woman!

This story will show readers how we can grow and evolve through our own extraordinary and even ordinary moments!

MY REVIEW OF “A YEAR OF EXTRAORDINARY MOMENTS” (MAGNOLIA GROVE #2) BY Bette Lee Crosby, Lake Union Press, October 2018

Kudos to Bette Lee Crosby, Author of “A Year of Extraordinary Moments” for pulling my heartstrings and writing such an emotional realistic, enjoyable, delightful, memorable, and captivating novel. I had the most enchanting visit this afternoon reading the sequel to “The Summer of New Beginnings”. I loved the first book, and I loved this as well. The Genres for ” A Year of Extraordinary Moments” are Fiction, Women’s Fiction, Romance with a dash of suspense and mystery.. The timeline of the story is in the present and goes back to the past when it pertains to the characters or events in the story.

I highly recommend this novel to readers that enjoy family drama, sister relationships, and mother and daughter, and mother and son relationships. Bette describes her colorful cast of characters, as people who could live in our neighborhood. Each of the characters have their own set of problems, and day-to-day problems. Some characters have shady motives and think of themselves. I appreciate that Bette Lee Crosby writes about the importance of family, emotional support, and somehow everything seems to work out. Bette adds the touch of a beloved pet, and also shows the needs for acceptance for children and adults with disabilities.

In this wonderful book, we learn and see how Tracy Briggs and her hearing-impaired young son are doing. Tracy is trying to step up to the plate and be the best and responsible Mom. Is there romance in Tracy’s future? What could prevent Tracy from the happiness she deserves? There are some intriguing new characters and some wonderful friends from the first book. Although this could be read as a stand-alone, I thing that reading the first book would enhance the experience. I received an ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.

This book is extraordinary. It will stay with you long after you turn the last page and smile. It will make you smile as you remember the purest love that finds Tracy. It is a book of letting go of the past and embracing the future, whatever it may bring. This is the second book in the Magnolia Grove series and follows The Summer of New Beginnings. Although A Year of Extraordinary Moments can be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading them in order. Both books are excellent and I highly recommend them. Bette Lee Crosby brings Magnolia Grove alive in these books. I highly recommend A Year of Extraordinary Moments. You will not be disappointed!

I loved to follow up on Meghan and Tracy to see how their lives were going. The story flowed so beautifully and I never felt like I lost a part of them until the next book! Wonderfully written and the reader feels that they are right in Magnolia Grove among friends you already know. The true meaning of friendship and family are brought forward; and love and support help through difficult times. It was hard to see this book end, but I was so touched and will carry these simple statements with me: memories will fade but with a picture of special times a memory will last forever. There is so much more that I would like to share, but I don’t want to ruin the story. All I can say to the reader is be prepared to be deeply touched. As family members pass away, I have a desire to go through photos and look for lasting memories! A great book not to be missed! I received an ARC from the author for an unbiased opinion.

Tracy still lives at home with Lucas her son, and her mother Lila. She still runs the "Snip & Save" magazine for income but she is getting behind. Her relationship with Gabrielle is getting closer and she is spending more time with the children at Lucas's school.

Dominic's grandmother Alice is dying and has asked him to come home and be with her for what time she has left. Dominic loves his grandmother but he doesn't want to see Tracy or Lucas. Alice discovers she has a great grandson that she's never met.

I have to say, I read a number of books a month and some are memorable and some are not. As soon as I picked up "A Year of Extraordinary Moments", I was drawn back to the characters and plot of "The Summer of New Beginnings" and settled in to visit with my "friends". Bette Lee Crosby tells a story with such warmth and depth that you feel you know them and can't wait to catch up. Authors don't usually write a sequel to equal the original, but Bette accomplished this very nicely. Can't wait to read the next in this series.

We first met the Briggs family in the book The Summer Of New Beginnings and this book continues the story of the Briggs sisters and the next chapters In their lives. Sisters coming together to let go of the past and embrace the fiuture !
I loved every minute of this story and I can’t wait to visit Magnolia Grove again and again. This is the second book in this series and while it can be read as a stand alone, you will want to read both and enjoy every second of your visit to Magnolia Grove !!
