James Bennett is a Wild, Sexy Bull riding Cowboy and Sophia Stone is the woman who is gonna tame him. Buck Wild is what I was craving to read. I Always enjoy reading Lauren Landish writing and her cowboy stories are always fascinating and page turning.

A Five Star read.

Great read from page one! James and Sophie have some serious sparks. They start out their meeting of one another by exchanging a few words. But James’ mama makes him apologize when his brothers rat him out. These two have such a steamy relationship that was meant to be casual. But fate had better plans, like forever. Great characters and story. Can’t wait for next book in this series!

It was only suppose to be a summer fling until love got involved. James in a sexy bull rider and Sophie is the beautiful intern that’s only there for the summer. These two embark one what’s suppose to be a lust filled summer romance but then they start to feel more. Buck Wild is just that wild, hot, and super steamy!! I received a copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.

Buck Wild is a light-hearted, sweet and steamy book that has been dipped into a vat of sarcasm. James is a champion bull rider who is home from the circuit for a summer break. Sophie intended to be a Business major but a screw-up with class registration had her changing her major to Veterinary Science with an emphasis on large animals. She is spending her summer interning with the town veterinarian, Doc Jones. She and Doc are at the Bennett farm helping with the difficult birthing of Briarbelle, when James spots her in the barn. He immediately questions her abilities and she fires back telling him, more or less, exactly what he can do with himself. Game on! The sparks aew so intense and they just keep burning. Both Sophie and James are so wise, witty and sassy that every time they are together it is a special experience. There is nothing that can stop their relationship from growing, other than the reality that summer vacation is over. That meant they both have to go back to their "real" lives, leaving one another behind as good friends. Is that what they both want or is there an option that can give them the lives they've always wanted! A strength of this book is the loving, comforting feel of the Bennett family. There is nobody better than Mama Lou who has taught her boys to be respectful, kind and caring men. What a joy! This is such a well-written book that exudes love and will have you smiling as you turn the last page.

I really liked and enjoyed Buck Wild. I was hooked right away and couldn't get enough of the story and the character's chemistry. Cant wait to read more.

This book was cute but it lacked depth--emotional and plot-wise. The heroine was a bit too easy, not making the hero work for it at ALL. There were some cute moments, but overall, it wasn't as engaging as it could have been.

I LOVED this book. I love how there was no crazy reason for them to break up or claim they couldn't be together. They truly knew they wanted to be together and it showed. Lauren is such a great author it shows in all her books!

Buck Wild: Bennett Boys Ranch, Book One was a great read by Lauren Landish. James is a bull rider that loved what he does. He spends his summer off working at his family's ranch, which leaves him feeling a little restless. Sophie is a veterinarian-in-training who shows up at his farm. I enjoyed reading James and Sophie's story and can't wait to read more by the author.

James can honestly say he had never been more insulted. The spitfire actually dared to call him out and did so with comebacks that would make him question on what to say next. Sophie has big dreams of becoming a veterinarian and she wasn’t about to let an arrogant sexy cowboy get in her way. There is definitely a thin line between them both they are tempted not to cross but that doesn’t last very long. James will question everything about his rightful place since he feels the need to help his family after his dad passed away. Sophie might be everything he needs and the timing of the distraction could have been better.

What a wonderful beginning for a new series! I loved reading and following James and Sophie's story and am very excited for the next book in the series. Lauren Landish has another winner on her hands.

3.5 stars. This is the first book I have read by Lauren Landish. It was good but there was nothing that made it stand out as great. I did like the interactions by the brothers and would like to see more of their stories.

What a great start to the series. James is a bull rider who is back at home to help after the death of his dad until he returns to the rodeo in the fall. He meets Sophie when she goes to help with the vet she is interning with before going back to school. To begin with, they clash but it's not long before thing turns hot and steamy between them but what will happen when it is time for them to go their separate ways. These two have tons of chemistry I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

This book was awesome steamy romances are my fav. I can not wait to see more from this author. Love being kept on my toes. This book.kept me hostage couldn't put it down.

Buck Wild in the first title in the Bennett Boys Ranch series and the first novel I've read by Lauren Landish. It was an enjoyable read, for the most part, and while I enjoyed it, it had several issues that just didn't sit well with me, and which I'll explain, but for that reason, I could only gives this novel 3.5 stars.

There were a lot of things I like about Buck Wild, starting with the main characters, Sophie, a city girl, who just graduated from college and is doing a summer internship in veterinary medicine with Doc, the 70-year-old local vet. When summer ends, she'll be starting her 3 year course in veterinary medicine. She's petite, fun, feisty, and friendly, and she loves working with animals. Then there's James, a professional bull rider who's also home for the summer, working with his two brothers on the family ranch. They are also helping their recently widowed mother and each other, all still coming to terms with the loss of her husband and their father. I loved the Bennett boys and their mother, who rules the roost at home, and doesn't let her grown sons get away with much. Meanwhile, the relationship between the Bennett boys was well done--lots of banter and teasing, ready to stand up for each other and a deep an abiding love between them.

When James first meets Sophie, she's in his family barn assisting in the difficult birth of a filly, and he's a bit out of line when Doc lets Sophie, who still hasn't got her license to practice, carry out the risky procedure, but she gives back as good as she gets from him, and he's attracted to her looks and her sass, and even seeks her out to apologize shortly thereafter. Eventually Sophie and James act on the chemistry between them and agree to a summer fling, since when summer ends, Sophie will be off to school and James will be heading back to the rodeo circuit--and what a hot fling it is, but that's also where I began to take issue with this novel.

Clearly, it's hard to tell which character is hotter for the other, and although I can't believe I'm saying this, I found myself wishing they'd stop having sex long enough for there to be some sort of plot development. The graphic scenes between them seem to happen every time they are alone together, and sometimes even under the Bennett family dinner table. I also took issue with the crass dirty talk, which was carried on every time the two were together--there were way too many "f" words thrown around, and while I'm not offended by dirty talk during sex, that word and its variations seemed to find its way into every conversation, and there was plenty of conversation. This novel is told in alternating narration, but it simply seemed as though Sophie and James' only thoughts were about sex. There wasn't much in the way of romance between them except when James opened car doors for Sophie.

Aside from a minor bit of drama between the Bennett family and their next door neighbors, the Tannen family, a downed fence and a fist fight on the fourth of July, there simply wasn't enough drama to sustain this novel, which certainly needed more of a plot than the dispute over the Tannen's desire to buy the adjoining Bennett ranch, and Mr. Tannen's occasional flirting with Lousie Bennett, their mother, when her sons weren't around.

The only real angst in the plot is James getting spooked when he realizes that he may have deeper feelings for Sophie than just their no-strings summer fling agreement. Sophie also realizes she cares more for James than she originally intended, but again, Sophie seemed to take James' reticence in stride, and James doesn't take more than a few days to comes to terms with his own feelings. All in all, it just seemed like too little, too late, especially when, as all romance readers know, there's going to be an HEA ending.

As I stated earlier, while this was an enjoyable read for the most part, and Ms. Landish does have a way with dialogue, I felt an acute lack of depth in both the plot and in the minds of the main characters, whose main concerns seemed to revolve about which sex position they'd try next. I liked Sophie and James and wish the author had done more to delve deeply into their characters. I did come to love the Bennett family in this novel, and their close and open relationships, and based on the name of this series, I'm guessing that the books to follow will features the other two Bennett brothers. I only hope their stories offer much more in the way of plot and character development, than did Buck Wild.

This book for me was a little slow. The main character James Bennett is a successful bull rider home for the off season, and because his father passed away. Helping his family is what he wants to do but he really can’t wait to get back out on the circuit riding those bulls. Sophie Stone has finished college and is working with an old time veterinarian, and he gives her the duty of bring a new life into their ranch. James does not think a women or maybe she should not be left alone to do the birth, but when everything is okay he still does not say anything to her. It is the next day after being scolded by his mama, he apologizes the next day and there slow begins what begins a summer romance. She would like more and at times he would also but she really would like him to give up riding bulls. She still has a little more school to finish and yet they both want to be together. A good story, read to find out what happens. Has good characters.

What a fun book! I liked the storyline and the characters were well thought out. I'm so glad that I had the chance to read it. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

Any book by this author is guaranteed to be enjoyable. She makes reading entertaining. The characters are believable and the storyline is always great. Have read and loved many of her books. Totally recommend this.
