You would expect after reading an author for many years that you would get bored with their writing style, or it would even get repetitive. That is so not the case with Lori Foster, every single book sucks me in like I am reading her for the first time! This book was no different!!

Oh Brodie.. could you be anymore sweet?? Seriously this guy rescues damsels in distress, puppies, little old ladies…
However when he needs to put the smack down he can. I really enjoyed how close he was to his family in this book and his genuine love for his dog. The fact that he really is such a good guy, yet is so reliable and safe is what leads Mary to finally feel safe and open up to someone. His patience towards Mary is really something amazing, because I would’ve gotten so frustrated with her. However he knows that’s exactly what she needs.

Lori Foster always writes really strong female characters and Mary is a very strong character indeed. While she may not seem that strong, she has an armor built around her that no one can seem to penetrate. Not even her boss and his motley crew of workers can seem to break through that tough exterior. Once you can get through that exterior and hear her story and why she is so tough you understand why she is the way she is. Mary is unbelievably tough and is amazing as a woman. Yet she is so sweet and so kind underneath this tough exterior.

I cannot explain how much I love Lori Foster’s writing with her strong male/female characters. They back each other up, they hold each other accountable. The families that she weaves together in her books are so sweet and amazing and make you appreciate your families all the much more. If you haven’t dove into a Lori Foster book yet I highly recommend it.

Driven to Distraction by Lori Foster is the first book in the Road to Love series. I must tell you that I am hooked and can not wait for more! This book had me from the beginning. I needed to find out more about Mary and Brodie. The chemistry was so thick you could see it 10 miles away. I absolutely adored everything about them. Especially the way that Brodie would intentionally pic at her just to get under her skin. This book is going to lead us into an amazing series and I can not wait to read Jack's story.

I enjoyed the first 60% of Driven to Distraction then I was driven to distraction by everything else around me when I tried to finish. I was reading in the fast lane for most of the book but then it kind of slowed down for me. Not sure where I took a detour. The characters were great, the romance was hot, but the reason they were thrown together (their work) and the suspense thread that was loosely woven into the plot is probably what had me down-shifting, making me take longer to get to the finish line.

Driven to Distraction was an ok (for me) start to the new Road to Love series by Lori Foster, but it won't keep me from reading the next installment.

I got a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This is the first book in the Road of Love series. The start of a new series for Lori Foster. I do love a good sense of humor it added to the sensuality of the relationship between Brodie and Mary. I also enjoy the fact that Mary wanted to keep her distance and do her job just as he did. Though there was no deny there was something starting to build between them. I guess being in a car for hours together will make you close as will high stress situations. I don't want to spoil anything, but this will get your blood going and well worth the read. I will go as far as saying it would be just as great the second or third time through as it was the first. I like them and looking forward to his brother's book and any others that come in this series.

I've only recently started reading Lori Foster's books (yes, I know, huge miss on my part) but I am definitely enjoying her writing style. And Driven to Distraction was definitely not a disappointment. Ultimately, in my opinion, this was a beautiful love story, a story of overcoming fear and demons from the past, with just the right amount of suspense to make it irresistible even to those who like their books a little bit more dangerous.

Mary and Brodie are two intriguing characters. On first glance they are as different as night and day. But once you start getting to know them, you can see all they ways they fit perfectly together. That doesn't mean that their relationship is easy. On the contrary, actually. Due to her past, Mary is quite resistant to all of Brodie's advances. Even if she feels the scorching chemistry between them as strong as he does. On top of that, the danger following them around, makes things even more complicated. But all that suppressed chemistry and lurking danger leads to some burn the sheets action that will leave you breathless.

There were few places in the story that the story went a little bit slow for me, but at the same time, I was so invested in the characters that I couldn't put the book down. I ended up finishing it in one sitting which resulted in me going to bed after 5am.

So in a few words, this is definitely a book I recommend, especially if you are looking for a good romantic story with a pinch of danger and sprinkle of hotness :)

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a great first book in a new series. I just loved all the characters in it. Brodie & Mary seem so different personality wise. Brodie was just so laid back & all about family & the family business. He worked with his brother & a friend of theirs when Mary approached him for a job. I loved the story, the plot, everything. Another aspect of this story that I enjoyed was Brodie's relationship with his dog Howler-a rescued dog. Howler was such a great dog. I did laugh when I first read how Brodie gets Howler to eat, such a creative way to get him to eat his dog food. Mary was so introverted and withdrawn, just doing her job & taking pride in doing it well but keeping to herself. It was fun to watch her come out of her shell and become a true partner with Brodie.

First in a new series by Lori Foster the Road to Love series starts with Brodie Crews and his family and their business Mustang transportation. Mary Daniels works for a wealthy collector. She hires Brodie on her bosses behalf to be her driver as she goes about picking up the items collected. I liked the Crews family a lot and look forward to getting to know each as the series continues. Brodie and his brother had a absent father but a fabulous mother who took great care of them and taught them how to treat people. Mary had the opposite upbringing. She had no father and her mother didn't take care of her at all. Mary doesn't get close to anyone or let anyone get close to her. Until Brodie. For whatever reason Mary opens up to Brodie and she lets him in and slowly lets others in as well. While Brodie is driving Mary and getting to know her someone is also trying to stop their boss from collecting certain items. Lots of action and suspense and fun in this book.

I am an idiot.... I received a copy of this to read and give my honest opinion and still managed to go out and buy a copy. You ever get the feels that you just can never have enough books.

I will hands down read anything this chick writes... the books are just that good. She writes about men who protect anything. Even red headed stunners that are proficient and have a stick up their butt proprietary. Mary Daniels isn't a bad girl, she makes her way through life doing what's right, while trying to stay very chaste. One look as sexy Brodie Crew and she has to stay away from his panty dropping hotness.

What did I like? Brodie is such a real guy.... All it takes is one look and he pretty much knows he is hooked. He is not an idiot. The sexual chemistry between the two is so much fun. Plus who doesn't like a guy with a dog.

Would I buy this book? Duh... I bought it while looking at it in the store.... It could not be helped. Its a fun and satisfying romance.

Thoughts for the author? This chick could write on toilet paper and Id still read it. Seriously!

Five fun stars of entertainment!!!

My first ever Foster novel and I LOVED IT! This book was awesome!! I loved the characters. I love their banter. I love HOWLER! Everything about his book screams romance novel. The swoony-protective Hero. The tough no-nonsense heroine. Perfection!

I enjoyed this book so much. It started off wonderfully and continued to be amazing. Brodie and Mary so different yet they fit so well. They had such an undeniable connection. From their first meet you can see how each effected the other and they were just so cute. Brodie loved to tease Mary aka RED. Mary tried to stray away from any connection, not wanting to open herself up for heartache.

Also this book was hot!!! The steamy senses were just sooooo good!!!

“To ease into things, he asked, “Did you think about me in the shower?” She touched his shoulder. “Yes.” She inhaled. “Did you think about me while I was in the shower?” “God, yes.”

Overall, I immensely enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the writing style. I enjoyed the characters and plot. I am excited to see what book two brings in the Road to Love Series.

While I’m a huge fan of Lori Foster’s books, this one left me wishing for more. The plot was different from anything I’d read but It did take me a little bit to get into the story and I felt it lacked character development. It does have some suspense that adds some excitement to the story; however, the villain was a little too crazy to me.

I am going to keep an open mind about the next book in the series and do look forward to it.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This is a fun start to a new series for the reliable Ms Foster.
We met Mary and Brodie when a business transaction puts them together. Their interactions were entertaining from the beginning and I enjoyed getting to know them both.
I also appreciated the slow burn between these two and Brodie’s efforts to get the know the Mary underneath the facade.
Add in a little bit of intrigue and a good supporting cast and all of the ingredients are in place for a winning combination. I am looking forward to what Ms. Foster has in store for Jack and Charlotte!

Mary Daniels doesn't have a type, but if she did, it would not be handsome, rugged Brodie Crews. His good looks has nothing to do with why she wants to replace him with his brother, yeah, it has nothing to do with that attraction, it has to do with his relaxed attitude. She needs someone as "stiff" as she is for this job. Brodie is immediately intrigued by this buxom red head that shows up at his office and there is no way he is going to let her replace him on his job, he is the best after all. When they both agree to the terms of the job, they find themselves in tight quarters while collecting rare finds for their eccentric boss and their attraction grows. Can Brodie break down Mary's walls? Can they survive the threat that is chasing them on every job?

Another well written book by Lori Foster. I loved Brodie and I loved Mary. I like that her characters are not always the stereotypical normal. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

DRIVEN TO DISTRACTION is the first instalment in Lori Foster’s contemporary, adult ROAD TO LOVE erotic, romance series. This is mechanic Brodie Crews, and acquisitions manager Mary Daniels’ story line.

Told from several third person perspectives including Brodie and Mary DRIVEN TO DISTRACTION follows the building romance and relationship between mechanic Brodie Crews, and acquisitions manager Mary Daniels. Mary Daniels works for eccentric billionaire Therman Ritter, a man who collects oddities and strange items that require his own private ‘courier service’ to ensure prompt and immediate delivery. Mary Daniels has been tasked with ensuring their delivery including a ride along with Therman’s new courier Brodie Crews. What ensues is Brodie and Mary’s developing relationship on the road, and the potential fall-out as the couple are targeted in a game of one-upmanship, when Therman’s collection is wanted by a competing collector.

Mary Daniels is a conventional woman; an uptight female whose clothing is more for armor than attracting attention. When our heroine is assigned to hire Brodie Crews, the attraction is immediate but Mary doesn’t mix business with pleasure, and everything about Brodie screams all kinds of trouble. Brodie Crews sees beneath Mary’s attempts to hide but protecting Mary will become his number one priority when the couple becomes fodder for some illegal collectors.

The relationship between Mary and Brodie begins as a business arrangement in which Mary struggles to accept Brodie’s gruff exterior and he-man attitude. Quick to judge, Mary battles her attraction to the man with whom she would fall in love. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic, language and text.

We are introduced to Brodie’s brother Jack Crews; their mother Rosalyn Crews; Jack and Brodie’s secretary Charlotte, as well as Brodie’s dog Howler, and Gina, a woman who is hoping for a chance with our story line hero; billionaire Therman Ritter, his PA Jolene, housekeeper Vera and chef Burl. The requisite evil has many faces.

DRIVEN TO DISTRACTION has a little bit of everything: mystery and intrigue; family and friendships; fun, romance, fighting and falling in love. The premise is engaging and inviting; the characters are spirited, animated and sassy; the romance is spicy and arousing. DRIVEN TO DISTRACTION is a playful, captivating and energetic story line.

Driven to Distraction is a wonderful story with suspense, romance, alpha men and head strong women. Mary really tugs at your heart strings with her past and dealing with the way she grew up, and Brodie is the one to help her get over it. The suspense alone was enough to hold your attention. Looking forward to next book in this series.
