A Christmas Proposition by Jessica Lemmon is the third installment of the Dallas Billionaire's Club series. Stefanie and Emmett's romance literally falls into the forbidden category. Emmett is her brothers best friend and that sets him out of her stratosphere. When yet another scandal breaks involving Stefanie she knows she needs to be out of the lime light. Except she also needs a plan to get rid of the potential belief that she is going to marry her brothers enemy. Who else can help her with her plan and not risk the chance of telling the press exactly what she is up to, well no one other than her bodyguard and brothers best friend of course. This was such a fun and great read. I adored it.

Stephanie is from a wealthy family and constantly beset by scandal, both made up and real. Now a new rumor hits, and right before her brother's upcoming re-election campaign for mayor. A rival is spreading the rumor that they're engaged, so Steph decides the easiest way to beat the rumor is to marry someone else! She convinces her brother's long time friend and body-guard to enter into a temporary (but very real) marriage, and they elope on Christmas Eve.

Short, sweet, and a very convoluted set up, but then again that's half the fun of these fake dating/marriage/etc stories. I really have no idea why Steph thought getting married would help, but after a certain point, I really didn't care, either. Emmett is very good as a gruff-and-silent-with-a-heart-of-gold type, and the two had some good chemistry as their personalities clashed. Once they did get married, though, there wasn't much in the way of conflict so there didn't end up being a lot of payoff for the "fake" (or at least, "intending to be temporary") aspect. It was more a way to get the leads together than a source of friction in and of itself. Also I really didn't care if Steph's brother stayed mayor, and since that was a major motivational factor...meh.

Emmett knows when to give up, " a long-suffering sigh sounded from his chest, and Emmett powered on the radio in surrender." Emmett is one tempting man, “what we do in bed is your call.” This close to her he could watch as her pupils darkened. “But we’re sharing the covers tonight.” I liked this book, I really loved Emmett.

I am so happy that I was chosen to read and review this one, especially after receiving the second one in the series previously to review and loving it! Regardless of whether or not I was chosen to read #3, I still would have tracked this one down to read once it was released...NetGalley and the publisher just gave me the privilege of not having to wait until December!

Reading the second book in the Dallas Billionaires Club series by Jessica Lemmon, A Snowbound Scandal, I was introduced to Stefanie Ferguson, the youngest and only girl in the Ferguson billionaire clan, and the brooding, super-serious and prickly Emmet Keaton, head bodyguard and best friend to Stefanie's older brother (and subject of A Snowbound Scandal), Chase. Their prickly, resentful dynamic towards one-another screamed "sexual tension" to me at the time, and made me really excited to start on their story, and Jessica Lemmon did not disappoint!

Stefanie Ferguson frequently (and unfortunately) finds herself at the center of scandals that always seem to threaten her bother's job as mayor of Dallas, and his campaigns for re-election. With one such scandal looming, Stefanie turns to her brother's best friend out of desperation, needing to marry to make it all go away and to hopefully stay out of the Dallas gossip blogs once and for all. But marrying Emmet, even if it's meant to be a brief marriage of convenience, turns into something that neither Stefanie nor Emmet ever imagined...mutual steamy attraction.

Loved this one...really hoping that there'll be a cousin or something that requires more to this series!

I am a huge fan of Jessica Lemmon's writing. Throw in a good Christmas story along with Jessica's writing and I am hooked for sure! This one will not leave you disappointed at all for a good quick read.

Stefanie has done some things that have caused her brother's political career to take a hit. Now she must do something drastic to try and make things better. Stefanie's family has money but she is not your typical spoiled rich girl. She actually has a really big heart. When Stefanie has what her family thinks is a girls weekend trip, her brother is determined to keep her under lock and key so that she doesn't have another chance to screw things up for him. When Stefanie throws a fit, the only way her brother agrees to her going is if his security guy, best friend and family friend Emmett goes with her.

Stefanie and Emmett set off on their journey to the getaway, only Stefanie has to tell him about the real reason for her trip and that is a benefit for less fortunate families that she puts together. While on the way, Stefanie comes up with a brilliant plan to get everyone off her back and that is to have Emmett agree to marry her at a Christmas wedding with just the two of them. They will get an annulment as soon as everything blows over and it will all be back to normal for everyone, unless...

I do not want to give any spoilers to this story because it is a really good one that you will get caught up in for sure. I think Jessica Lemmon did a great job with this and made it a magical Christmas story for sure. Highly recommend!

Jessica Lemmon is a star! She writes fun and fast romances. Perfect for the busy holiday season! The characters and plot are cute, but not too cliche.

There was one thing I didn't like about this book, and one thing only- the fact that I'm done with it and have to wait for another Jessica Lemmon book to be released! Simply put, I just enjoy her writing and A Christmas Proposition didn't let me down. You walk away feeling like you really know these characters because the development of each one just simply flows much like how you would get to know a new friend. We got a hint of these characters in previous books, and you just knew they had a great story to be told. Quick read that will make popcorn for dinner acceptable when you just need to find out how their story ends. In other words, you'll love it! #AchristmasProposition #NetGalley

A not-so-spoiled rich girl and her brother’s bodyguard/best friend in a fake marriage? Yes, please. I was waiting for these two and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Loved it!

Stefanie came up with a plan after a scandal she caused to save her brother's political career. Emmett Keaton seems to be the solution to her problem. He has always been off-limits, but she's changing the rules. They decide to get married fast to save Stefanie brother's career.... but will this marriage cause another scandal or can it become real.

Great story line, easy to follow with a great flow. I was able to get into the story and fell in love with the characters. Perfect romance!

A Christmas Proposition is a great holiday romance. Stefanie's family is prominent and the paparazzi always have their eye on her. When an ex goes to the tabloids, she needs to do something to fix her reputation. Emmett is her brother's bodyguard and best friend. He's admired Stefanie from afar but being from the wrong side of the tracks he knows he's not good enough for her. She thought he just didn't like her. So, when Stefanie asks him for help, it's a big shock and the start of something wonderful. Loved it!

Usually I love Jessica Lemmon stories but this was kinda disapointing. At first I was very confused because I was not sure whose viewpoint I was reading and who was the male lead in this story and then I got so confused by all the different male characters and figuring out who was who.

- Chase is the Mayor, he is Stephanie's brother and Emett's bestie
- Emmett is Chase, the Mayor's best friend, security detail, campaign manager I think, and the male lead in the story
- Blake is the former Mayor's son who had a one night mistake with Stephanie and in the story tries to make it out that he and Stef are together and getting engaged.

So not to humiate her family Stef decides to get married to escape the rumors Blake starts. She decides to marry Emett who she has a non relationship and who she has never even kissed because? and this is where the story lost me - because she wants to stop Blake's rumors. It was a crazy reason to get married and especially to someone she doesn't like. It just made zero sense.

To be honest I read 40% of the story and gave up it just seemed so ridiculous. I mean who marries because someone insinuates that you are dating them. The marriage thing was just so dumb I could not understand it and ruined the story for me.
