A cute friend to lovers romance! The characters are charming! They are truly a match and just needed to admit it! Albeit I am not keen on virgin auctions, that was the only part that I did not care for. Great novella from Stevie!

2.5 stars Emma and Evan have both been pining after each other for years, the auction is the perfect time to make a move. He's been flaunting a parade of women in front of her, but he didn't actually have intercourse so as not to betray Emma *eye roll*. They have sex and she doesn't question him saying he's a virgin too even though she knows about the other women? And there's no way he's a virgin with that sex scene. Please.

Ok, so far, I love this one the most!!!

Emma and Evan have been best friends since their time on the playground at 6 years old. I loved both of these characters.

Unfortunately, they have both been pining for each other all theses years, both scared of ruining a once in a lifetime friendship.

But when Emma donates her virginity to the sorority auction, all bets are off!!

You know what they say, best friends can make the best lovers!!!

This is a quick, fast-paced but fun and steamy read nonetheless.

The Boy Next Door is part of The Dirty Bits from Carina Press: quick and dirty, just the way we like it.

The characters are likeable and easy to connect with. but somewhat not believable.

Evan and Emma have been friends for a very long time, reason why even though they have deeper feelings for each other, they're affraid of risking losing what they already have, until they do.

This is the first time I don't fully liked one of Stevie Cole's stories, but its just me.

I received a copy from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion!

I am having trouble liking this book series. I enjoyed book one but book two and now book three is going down hill. I didn't find The Boy Next door entertaining or sexy at all.

Very easy quick read about Evan and Emma. Neighbors who have always secretly loved each other. I love the way Evan realized his love and how he just can't stand to allow her to do the auctioning....These two belong together. I enjoyed every bit of it, and love the rest of the series. Very sweet read.

Quick but entertaining and sexy story! I love that both Emma and Evan already have a history, it makes the story seem much more believable.

Here we are with another sorority girl and her auction story. But what she doesn't realize is what is being auctioned off.

Emma and Evan have been best friends for as long as she can remember. And she has been in love with him for almost as long. But she doesn't want to tell him how she feels because she doesn't want to lose her best friend.

Evan has loved Emma since he has known her, but he can't tell her for fear of losing her for good. So, he will protect her and be her best friend.

Can Evan stand aside when he finds out about the auction? Will Emma go through with the auction when she realizes what is really at stake? Will Evan and Emma finally tell each other how they really feel?

I have read a few others in this series and I have liked the all, but I loved the relationship between Evan and Emma best. If you are looking for a quick read and a happily ever after in the end, then you cannot go wrong with the Sorority Secrets series.

M/F Romance

This is more about the boy next door, Evan, who has always loved his neighbor, Emma.

Emma's character just didn't seem the type to auction off her virginity. But when her sorority sisters call, she can't help but help the cause. She has always been in love with Evan, but as the years go on and she sees how many women he parades around, she knows that he's a manwhore.

Evan can't help but follow Emma and keep her in his sight. When he realizes that she's auctioning off her virginity, something inside him breaks. Despite the fact that he is carrying around his own secrets, he can't let the guy who he knows will bid on Emma win.

This is more of a young adult feel and even though they do finally seal their fantasy of coming together, it doesn't read as a virginal experience. Overall, this was a cute read, but felt way to young adult.

Emma has been in love with Evan for as long as she can remember, but Evan is her best friend and she's not willing to lose him. When Evan finds out Emma is participating in the sorority auction of her virginity, he's furious. He won't let that happen, regardless what he has to do. Evan has the reputation as a playboy, but he's been holding on to something that no one knows about. How can Evan convince Emma he's in love with her and has wanted her for years? Can Emma actually go through with the auction?

The Boy Next Door was my favorite out of this series. I loved Emma and Evan and the chemistry between them. It's another quick, erotic read. I would love to see these characters in an expanded novel. Stevie J Cole is a new to me author that I will be checking out.

I am loving these dirty bites books and they just get better with each new book that comes out by Carina press. Quick and steamy is definitely what this author delivers in this perfect dirty bits book. There is plenty of chemistry, passion, steamy and sexy bits of this story that makes it perfect for this collection of books by carina press. The author has done a brilliant job with this story and it really shows throughout the book and what such a fantastic book to read. Great storyline and characters too. Defo recommend

And here marks the next series in Carina Press' Dirty Bits. This one is all about a sorority who are a bunch of good and caring girls, only wanting to help one of their sisters as her brother, a fire fighter, was burned in a fire at an animal shelter. To help pay his medical bills as well as help the shelter, these girls are going to auction off their virginity. Yeah, that's right. THEIR VIRGINITY.

Is that even legal? Who cares, right? It's for charity! After I stopped rolling my eyes at the story prompt for these few books, I dug in and read them all in a day. Some better than others. Some of these girls aren't actually virgins, and some of the stories had me cringing. What they didn't have me doing was putting them down.

Yes, they're silly and sort of ridiculous, but I needed the escape they granted me so, here's to Carina Press and their Dirty Bits books. I will always pick them up, no matter what.

Evan and Emma... best friends turned lovers. This one was cute. No way was Evan going to let Emma go through with this fiasco.

I live for Stevie J Cole books and I was excited to dive into this one. With that being said, this was my least favorite book by her. I dont know if this being a novella had something to do with it but I felt blah while reading it. I liked it but there was nothing special about it. I can devour Stevie's books in one sitting but this one took me a while. It could also be this series cause I havent been loving these books and they're written by different authors. Sometimes you need a full length book in order to appreciate the story and the author's talent.

There just aren't enough books out there in which the hero is a virgin. It's such an underused trope and I'm so happy that this author took advantage of it. However... don't act like you didn't expect a but... I didn't like that despite the fact that he loved the h since they were kids, that he messed around with so many females and basically flaunted it in her face. Might as well have had sex bro. I really like friends-to-lovers romance, but maybe don't make the virgin hero who I would love to praise be an all-but-intercourse manwhore.

The Boy Next Door by Stevie J. Cole is book three in the Sorority Secrets series. This is the story of Evan and Emma. This can be a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Evan and Emma are friends that have been dancing around going further with their feelings. When Evan learns what Emma has planned for her Sorority he steps up to take what is his. Its Emma's turn with her Sorority sister's to fulfill a promise they made to help a charity out but it also pushes her and Evan to face they next step in their feelings.
Another great book to to this hot series.

Stevie J. Cole has a winner with this short story. I believe out of the entire Series this was my favorite book. A steamy page-turner about Em who has been in love with her best friend Evan since she was a child but terrified to act on it and believes Evan to be a manwhore. Can he save her from a rigged Virgin Auction? This is such a great feel-good story.

What happens when two bloggers come face to face. One knows who the other is and keeps quiet about it. As they get closer and the truth is finally revealed things turn around.
This was a fun book it I laughed, yelled, and prayed for a happy ending.

This is my first time reading a book by Stevie J. Cole and I have to say I had a great time with this story.

The writing style was simple. The plot was entertaining and the fact that this book is part of a series of stories set in the same world was even better. I think it fits perfectly with the theme of the series: a sorority of girl auctioning their virginity for a good cause.

The main characters, Emma and Evan, have been friends since they were very young and with time, they developed feelings for one another. The catch is that neither of them knows that the other loves them deeply. The antics between them and the relationship that develops is fantastic.

Logically, for such a short book things need to move fast and that's definitively the case. What makes me give the author more props is that it does not feel that way. I finished the book in one sitting and when it was over I was left with a feeling of disbelief. Did it end that fast?

I would recommend this book to those that love the friends to lovers trope, especially mixed with the virginity auction thingy *wink*

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book provided by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are my own.

This was another short book. Emma has been in love with the boy next door who is also her best friend Evan. Both of them have the hots for each other but none of them want to ruin their friendship. Emma is a virgin and now she is auctioning it off, she thinks that Evan is a manwhore because he has a reputation to match, only he is not one and he refuses to allow her to auction off her virginity especially knowing that their is this frat scum who is planning on winning her, but does he?

A short sexy sorority story. Big on heat and fun to read. More fun from the virgins of Beya Kappa Nu.
Recommended if you’re into college romance. Liked this Stevie J Cole story.

I never loved a quicky as much as this one. This one was quick and to the point but the steaminess made me loved the heck out of it. Stevie J. Cole gave it her best with The Boy Next Door
