Sometimes you just need something quick and ridiculous to entertain you between loads of laundry. This Sorority Secrets series is totally doing the trick!

So, the premise of these books is a little on the ridiculous side. A fire burns down an animal shelter where the sisters of Beta Kappa Nu volunteer, leaving the animals homeless and seriously injuring the firefighting brother of one of the sorority sisters. In order to help raise money for medical bills and the shelter, the girls auction off their virginity.

In The Boy Next Door, sorority sister Emma has been pining after her best friend, Evan, for ten years. But she’s never let him know how she truly feels because she doesn’t want to lose her best friend. Also, Evan’s the ultimate manwhore who couldn’t possibly want anything to do with her.

Except he does. And, he’s not as much of a playboy as everyone believes he is.

There’s not a whole lot of plot or character development in these books. But the writing is decent, and they are good fun to read. These books aren’t trying to be serious. They’re trying to be fun. And they nail it. I don’t even like the friends-to-lovers trope (WHY do you not want to be best friends with your lover? That makes NO SENSE to me at all!), but that was helped by the fact that at least here we didn’t have to read pages and pages and pages of the hero and heroine waxing eloquent about how they couldn’t risk ruining their friendship by becoming more. And this one managed to be steamy, but also sweet.

Here’s the thing. These books are exactly what they tell you they’re going to be. Quick and dirty. As long as these authors aren’t taking the stories too seriously, I’m fine with ridiculous. Who doesn’t need something to make a day with laundry more interesting?

This is a Dirty Bits book from Carina and it's a cute, fun read. If you are a friends to lovers fan, then you will fall in love with Evan and Emma, I did!
Emma and Evan grew up next door neighbors and best friends. Both toted that line and never crossed it although both secretly pined for the other. Neither wanted to lose their friendship if a new relationship tanked.
Emma is signed up for a charity auction by her sorority. She's dumbfounded when she finds out it actually auctioning off her virginity! There is only one person she has saved it for-Evan, but what is she to do? She agreed to help out!
Evan finds out about the auction and goes ballistic. He takes measures to ensure Emma doesn't fall into the wrong hands! Only things do not go as planned!
This a quick read with just the right amount of heat! I really liked Emma and Evan together. They seemed like a very good fit. Why then only 4 stars you ask? There were a couple of loose ends that were never addressed. I wanted to know how they were resolved. So other than that, this is a fun book to read!

This was a tasty little morsel! I read it while waiting for sleep to come and instead of sleep… I read The Boy Next Door from start to finish. I really wasn’t sure if I’d really get into a short little story but Stevie Cole is such an amazing author that she can create an amazing story at any length. The thought of college girls auctioning off their virginity is surprising… I don’t know. It seems like an odd thought process. However, I loved the friends to lover’s storyline. I enjoyed the characters and their friendship. Friends to lovers is one of my favorite troupes so having this naughty little bedtime treat was magical!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

A short college romance that is best friends to lovers. It was quite interesting and a start to a potentially good series. I recommend this story.

Being in love with your best friend is not always easy. For Evan and Emma they have kniw eachnother for years and have loved eachnither just about as long. However to scared to share they have kept the friend zone until the virginity auction.

This is a quick steamy read of friends to lovers and you just simply enioy it. There is serious chemistry between the two and its seriously enjoyable.

I picked this series up on a whim and the last thing I expected was a good story with well rounded characters, but I’m glad that’s what an got. I really thought it was going to be a decent but mindless read, Evan and Emma were both likable, and had great chemistry together. The plot was good, even if the premise is a little out there. Over all I really liked The Boy Next Door.

Book 2 in the multi author series Sorority Secrets, The Boy Next Door was a quick enjoyable read. Two best friends who both fears what being honest could do to their relationship. But when the cards are played to will need to be honest or risk losing what they have always wanted.

I saw the series of Sorority Secrets about the girls auctioning of their virginity to help a sister in need. This one is about Emma and Evan. Next door neighbours for almost all of their lives and secretly in love with each other. But afraid to be the friends-turn-to-lovers-turn-to-vicious-exes, they won't admit their feelings for each other. Until Evan finds out that Emma is about to auction of her virginity to the biggest creep alive. A short, sweet, funny and hot read. Keep those sorority secrets coming!
Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Is it hot in here or is it just me. Holy Moly is this short ditty in the Dirty Bits Sorority Sisters one hot little number. I love what Stevie J. Cole brings to the mix. Emma and Evan have been friends and in love with each other for ages. I love how it takes this little thing of a virgin auction for Evan to grow some man balls and take what is meant to be his. Emma and Evan are hot together and with the added little twist that makes you want to smack one of the frat guys you are in for one hot read. This friends to lovers read will hit every mark you are looking for.

3.5 Stars. Love the cover! It's smoking hot and gave me a good mental image of Evan right from the start. The story follows the blurb with no surprises. Liked the flirty-friends dynamic between Evan and Emma. They were sexy and charming. The "bad guy" was one-dimensional and over the top, but I suppose that's what a steamy short story needs. Definitely a worthwhile read for anyone looking for a steamy, friends-to-lovers short story.

Best friends to more......

Evan and Emma have been friends for eons....and Emma wants more. But so does Evan! Is it worth finding out what could be and possibly ruining a friendship.....you know I'm not even sure what I would do in that situation......

Anyway.....all it takes is a charity auction to give them the push they need......

This was a quick read, but so good!

This is book three in a mini series by Carina Press. The series is called Sorority Secrets. They are quick short reads. Ideal for a quickie before bed time.

Oohhh I totally loved this story. Emma is auctioning off her virginity for a charitable cause close to her heart. Evan The Boy Next Door has been friends with Emma since they were kids. He has secretly loved her. Can he get Emma to change her mind about the auction?

A superb quick read. I thoroughly enjoyed this read. Can’t wait to read more of this series.

Storyline was promising in that very good friends have deeply-seeded feelings for each other. Typical old story about unrequited love. Very cute how Evan and Emma finally acknowledge their true feelings just wished that Winston would reap some consequences for his actions. Also would’ve liked to have this insta-love story (which I love) had a little more depth.

***4 Stars***

This was a fun, quick, smexy best friends to lovers read that I devoured in no time flat.

What made this Dirty Bits a fun read was that I had no doubt that Evan and Emma were best friends. That their love for each other was soul deep and that their fear of ruining the connection they had by becoming more made them blind to the others attraction even when it was absolutely obvious to everyone around them that they belonged to each other.

The outside issue/nudge that gets them to finally take the plunge was a very believable one and I really liked how that issue was dealt with in the end.

I didn't like this one anywhere near as much as the other books in the series. Mainly, because it was the perfect example of why I do not like friends to lovers books. The virgin who pines for her best friend all the while he is messing around with OW, including a teacher. Although he never had intercourse but did everything else you can think of <-- his words. (hide spoiler)] and she hears ALL about it and sees the parade of women through his bedroom window. Then add in the fact that he cock blocks any guy that was interested in her, so she basically got to experience nothing...and, ya...no can do...

Another fun, sexy short read. These Dirty Bits are addictive. They aren't all 5 star reads, but so far I am enjoying the heck out of them.

With this story we have two best friends since childhood taking a leap into romance and I had a smile on my face the entire time. Evan and Emma made it easy to like them. They've both been attracted to each other but never made a move because, reasons ....

This was a nice way to pass a few hours of the day :)

Loved this story. The premise what great, the friends to lovers was the best, and Winston getting...well, I won’t spoil that, but it was perfect!

Emma is trying to raise funds for the animal shelter that displaced hundreds of animals and badly injured her friend Shane. Evan her best friend finds out by accident that she's on an auction site-auctioning off her virginity for charity. Oh no way Jose! Evan has been in love with Emma for years, she's been in love with him and neither one will admit their feelings to the other. Neither wants to lose their best friend by complicating things.

But when Evan finds out what Emma has planned he vows he's going to be the winner for this event!

I thought this was a fun, sexy short read. I loved Evan and Emma's characters and always enjoy a good friends to lovers story. They have been friends for 10 years, each never revealing their true feelings until they were forced to do so for a much bigger reason. Their chemistry was off the charts. The writing was well done, the story flowed well and I didn't want it to end. Definitely an enjoyable short read!

"Yep, leave it to me, the typical good girl virgin to fall for my manwhore best friend."

I loved that The Boy Next Door gave me the opportunity to try a new-to-me author without having to invest a huge amount of time testing the waters. It was the perfect introduction to the author's writing style and verified what I'd heard about her talents.

While this story is indeed short, the words aren't wasted. The author had my attention in the first paragraph and never lost it. The main characters are really likable and I felt their connection. I enjoyed the dual POV and knowing how they each felt about the other, it just ramped up the suspense because I was then even more anxious for things to go the way I wanted them to. I also loved the fact that they were best friends and knew each other so well, but not that well. They might have enough dirt on each other to blackmail, but they weren't privy to their dirtiest fantasies that featured each other.

Of course, there are obstacles in the path of the future that they both want but refuse to pursue. They are both afraid to risk their friendship, unwilling to lose each other if a relationship didn't work out. They'd gone too far to just be friends with benefits, too much was at stake. But when she ends up on the auction block with her virginity on the line, will either of them be able to accept what happens next? Which risk will do the most damage, and can their friendship survive it?

After this taste of quick and dirty, I'll most definitely be back for more. The line forms here...
