This book is just lovely, yes the embroidery makes up very tiny pictures, but they are really cute and very "must have" items. These items can be made into buttons, brooches and badges, or if you are not that confident, enlarged to make bigger embroidery pieces. But small are very beautiful, and quickly completed with very little material.
The book is well presented, with 65 pages of well illustrated and detailed information and instructions. Absolutely beautiful

Some of these patterns are gorgeous. The tiny landscapes are amazing, and easy looking to accomplish., I liked the majority of the patterns, and found I had the skills to tackle most of them, especially with the helpful guide on how to pull each pattern off. More difficult is the challenge to find some of the materials required. I have yet to see a small hoop that is attractive and could be used for jewelry in my local craft stores. I have seen on few occasions things pop up in thrift stores, but nothing I could count on finding to start a project. This obviously depends on where you are, but just my local Michael's won't do the hoops pictured justice. I liked the inclusion of buttons, and instructions on how to use a button maker. I've never looked for a button maker before, but will now have to keep an eye out for one.
It was really helpful to see the pictures as each pattern is worked on, and to have set instructions on how many strands of each colour to use for each part of the project. Complex looking patterns are broken down into manageable pieces and are easy to tackle. I don't usually make brooches and buttons, but the patterns could be adapted into larger works, especially the patterns with planets. This is a good place to start if you are just starting to embroider and need step by step, easy to manage projects, or are looking for a quick gift to make.

Tiny Stitches is a wonderfull little embroidery gem!
Set up in chapters the book takes you through embroidery tips as well as how to make many designs on buttons, badges, patches and pins. There are simple designs as well as some more complex scenes and every design features how to pictures that take you through each step of the process.
This is a really well thought out book that makes things very easy for the reader/embroider to get started right away. I have wanted to try to embroider a scene but have yet to attempt it because I didn't know where to start.
This book is exactly what I have been waiting for!
