I adore heartwarming stories so I was excited to get stuck into this, and i was far from disappointed. The story made me smile throughout, at times making me chuckle and shake my head at antics.

The authors writing style is fun and engaging without being over done, and I can’t wait to get stuck into more!

I received a free copy of Mira's Path in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed the beginning of the book, but quickly lost interest. Mira left her family and the love of her life so she could explore New York. When that didn't go so well, she returned to her small town, and fell right back into the arms of her billionaire highschool sweetheart who was pining away for her. Sorry but that ship sailed, and Mira never should have been able to waltz back into her old life after hurting so many people.

This was not a good read for me.

Thank you NetGalley for the copy of Mira’s Path by W.F Schlegel that I read and reviewed.
This book was just ok for me. The pace was a bit slower then I liked and I just did not get into the the book like I would have liked.
I am giving Mira’s Path three out of five stars.

The description of this book sounded like it was right up my street. Enjoyed the mix of characters from Bowie and Mira to Isabel and Summer. The was plenty of things happening in the book, nicely balanced drama with love, only issue was it was all wrapped up too quickly at the end.

I feel like this is (or should be) part of series looking at the other pairings in the book as I want to know how they get on now their starting their love stories.

Nice read but not sure I would rush to read it again or remember it in a week which is why I gave it 4 stars.

It was a fast paced and entertaining read, but I just didn't like how Mira had treated everyone and then waltzed back in to their lives without really seeming to apologize properly for what she had done to them all.

Mira leaves her small town in Wyoming for the big city, but it didn't turn out how she planned. When she left home she left Bowie behind with a broken heart. She wasn't even nice about it. She told him his will be nothing but a lawn boy and left for the city to follow her dreams. But he managed to become a lot more than a lawn boy and when Mira returns home after her life is turned upside down, she quickly realizes what she left behind.

Bowie now owns most of the town, including her parents house. Mira needs to find a job and help her parents. It's a fanatics story. I love the characters and story-line, it was easy to follow and feel like you were apart of the story.
A must read!

Mira walked away from Brodie when they were younger calling him just the Lawn Boy and so set the tone for what kind of woman she was and consequently I never really likes her after that she was a stuck up snob and when her fancy city life crashed around her I was glad. Brodie was everything a hero should be and I was so glad that he took her snobby attitude and turned it into a million dollar empire. Though the story was well written I just had a problem jelling with Mira maybe that is good writing that she brought out these emotions in me I am glad that they got there HEA I'm just not sure she deserved it or Brodie

An interesting story about a girl Mira who leaves here small town in Wyoming for the big city if New York. Before she leaves though she tells her then boyfriend Bowie Matthews that he won’t amount to much being a lawn boy who does not even charge half of his customers. Then she was gone. Ten years later she is back after being kicked out by her lawyer boyfriend and the only place she could go is back home. She finds out that things are different since she has left. She is told she must get a job, Bowie now owns most of the town and surrounding county, and what really pisses her off is when she finds out that he owns her parents’ home. She does not know the reason behind it and it is not for her reason of getting back at her, no it’s because them and others, but mostly they were there for him when his mother died. Now finding a job with a friend she also finds out that she must tread lightly especially around Bowie because she caused him a lot of pain and he has a lot of friends. She must find out what has happened since she was gone, and also prove to him and everyone else that she is staying. A good story with good characters.

Mira’s Path, William Schlegel

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre: Romance, Women's fiction

*Sigh...Women's fiction again? Why troy to exclude a section of possible readers, men write fiction, this book proves it, they read it too.....

Anyway, sadly this book didn't really work for me. It was well written, well paced but somehow the characters and events never really caught on for me.
I think part of that is I started off disliking Mira, she was a real bitch to Bowie. I had a hard time getting past the role reversal too, where her wealthy family lost everything and yet despite allegedly being close she knows nothing about it. Then Bowie, Lawn Boy, is now a multi millionaire? How'd that happen? I didn't see any real reason for either of these massive changes and it rankled me.
As I said I disliked Mira, she seems to have changed but I couldn't help feeling is all hadn't gone wrong in the City for her, if she hadn't effectively been chased out of her life would she be back? Or would she still be posing among the richest, living their life, rubbing shoulders the the people at the Top of society.
Bowie was perfect. A little too perfect maybe? He seems to have lived the live of a saint, just waiting for Mira's return and is that real? Would he do that, and take her back without any kind of discussion about how much she hurt him?
I dunno, it was all a bit too cute and sweet for me.

Even the suspense didn't really work for me, I wasn't sure of the reasoning, a man doesn't up and do something like that out of the blue, with no one having a clue. He'd not seemed like that kind of man, what made him flip? It wasn't as if he was desperately in love with her....hands on action seemed out of character for him, hiring someone to do the dirty work I could understand but do it himself?

Stars: two and a half. There were parts I liked but overall it wasn't one for me. As ever I can see others love it, maybe I'm in just too picky a mood and if I come back to it another time I may like it better. Who knows?
