The author lost my interest half-way through the book. the stories became repetitive. There are a few humorous stories that will make you laugh. I appreciated the chance to preview this title.

I wasn't thrilled with this book, but it was entertaining in parts. The writer stresses that this is more about him looking silly and doesn't put celebs in a bad light. I do like that all the stories are short and if you want you can only read the stories about the celebrities you're familiar with.

I enjoyed Farrell Hirsch's What I learned from 50 celebrities. Sometimes thoughtful, sometimes thought provoking, sometimes humorous, sometimes a little sad, often self deprecating, Hirsch's book is filled with lessons he's learned from interactions with various celebrities over the years. He's quick to point out that these are not salacious stories of celebrities behaving badly; in fact, it is Hirsch who is making mistakes or missteps or incorrect assumptions in many of the stories. These are all very short, very quick stories and lessons. You can pretty easily skip around and read stories that jump out at you or read it straight through. I found most of the stories interesting, and three or four that I think will really stick with me--both the story and the lesson. The Annette Benning story was my favorite. This book is a quick read, and can easily be read all in one sitting, or in small snippets over time.

I did enjoy some of the anecdotes, but there is nothing of substance that elevates this to a self-help book.

Mostly the author's pithy interactions with celebrities that culminates in so-called generic life lessons that add no real value.

Written in a very easy and humourous manner, but a shallow book from beginning to end.

This book is a must read for anyone that loves celebrity gossip, as the author tells of his experiences meeting several celebrities in a manner that made me feel like I was hanging out and listening to them. This was a fast read and thoroughly enjoyable!

A regular guy tells stories about celebrities he’s met in a variety of contexts, including running the Playboy Channel on Sirius XM, and the life lessons he has learned form those meetings. Not at all at all but a fun glimpse at celebrities( Carol Burnett, Steve Martin, Hugh Hefner, Lisa Kudrow, to name a few) , all told in a breezy conversational manner. I read the book in one sitting but you can read bits of it at a time. Either way you’ll enjoy it. Recommended.
