A decent YA romance, but I can’t help but to feel I’ve read this before in so many other novels.

Although the theme of the book was good, the execution could have been better. The writing style seemed very passive as if the story had already happened and was not unfolding as it went. This made the book lackluster in terms of delivery.

All the things we lost was not quite for me and I did not finish it. I enjoyed the writing, however, I could not get into the plot or relate to any of the characters. However, I look forward to trying future works of the author and I recommend you give this book a shot

This book was a super quick read for me. The synopsis of the book really intrigued me but, it did fall flat for me a few times which was a bummer.

Katie and Julian have been friends forever, until she moves away. Then one day Katie and Julian meet up again years later.

Katie’s mom passes away and she moves back with her dad in Idaho to help re connect with him.

Julian becomes the man of the house when he has to provide for his family because his dad leaves.

Julian and Katie have both experiences loss and they need to learn how to deal with her losses.

While I was reading this, I did feel like there could have been a little more character development, that could be due to this story being less than 200 pages though

All The Things We Lost by Kayla Tirrell is the 1st book in the River Valley Lost and Found series, a young adult romance. Katie, 18, returns to River Valley, Idaho after her mother dies, to live with her father. Katie runs into Julian her old childhood friend, and he has changed. Both Katie and Julian are suffering from loss in different ways, will their relationship survive? Will they learn to trust again? I love this genre, there is something so innocent about first loves. I love watching the characters grow. I found this book to be a quick read, and recommend it to all readers who enjoy a young adult romance. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Beautiful, painful, joyful story leaves you feeling like you knew these people by the time the reader reads the last page. The characters had depth, great back stories and the ability to grow and change as the story progresses. YA fans will rally enjoy this beautiful story of loss, love, and redemption.

All The Things We Found is a fast-paced read that has vividly raw characters that are relatable. A lovely romance with a secret that slowly comes to light at an unexpected time helping to create drama and an unexpected ending.

Katie has some serious abandonment issues and Julian has a lot of trust issues, can they figure it out and make it work?

This is a great representation of how feelings and emotions are heightened with love and how jumping to a conclusion instead of calming down and communicating can ruin or almost ruin a relationship. Both characters in this book have a lot of people, family that have let them down. They come to the relationship with a lot of luggage, but they have a friendship that is untarnished by time and that helps them build a bridge to each other. This is a very moving, easy reading novel.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kayla Tirrell for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a fair review.

This book was just random. The plot was messy, the timeline was all over the place, and the characters were not well developed. The author also did a lot of "telling" instead of "showing". Which since this was less than 200 pages makes sense because we had to hurry along. But, as a result the novel felt rushed and I did not grow to love or even know the characters.

I'm sorry to say, this one didn't really work for me. I struggled to stay invested in the book, and ended up skimming a lot. I will say that it is pretty well-written, and does have some good character growth in it. I didn't really connect to the characters. At times I thought they were immature for their age (about to head to college), and other times some of the things they said or thought made them sound much older.

It did have several sweet scenes between the two main characters, Katie and Julian.

Although it says this book is perfect for teens and adults alike, I'm not sure many adults would fully enjoy the read, and it's more for the younger teen crowd.
