Roman Adventure is an introduction for young readers to the ancient Roman world told in graphic form. The reader follows three young, curious children through the adventures they encounter.
The art was great and very realistic. Overall, an informative book appropriately geared to the age of the audience. The historical details were very well researched. I would recommend this book to anyone trying to introduce younger children to Ancient Rome. The graphic novel and story will definitely keep their attention. It’s even fun for the older reader looking to brush up on this time in history.
Thank you NetGalley and publisher, North Star Editions and Jolly Fish Press, for the opportunity to read this ARC.

This was a very well researched and thought out book. I even learned some things I did not know. I really like the little crafts and games to give children a break from the reading. It is in comic book form but jam packed with information. I also liked Hero the cat and his comic relief. I do recommend this book for middle school children or if an adult can read it with them 4th grade up as there is Latin in it and children may have problems with the pronounciation. I like the name of the group the Histronauts (Luna, Nani, Newton and Hero) very clever. It takes you through the food they ate, clothes they wore, ranking they held in the community. I goes into the different customs and details of the different areas with maps. I look forward to reading more of the Histronauts as they explore other times and places.
