I had no idea that this book, is to be the final installment of Charlie Daniels and family. If this is to be the case, I'm crushed and hope that someday we hear from them again, perhaps when Beep has grown older. She did not leave us all hanging, and did wrap most things up, I just don't want it to end.

This has been such an emotional book! I laughed out loud, ugly cried and have been foot stomping mad! But I could NOT have lived without the latest on my favorite book character of all time! Thank you!

I’ve been a huge fan of this series since discovering First Grave on the Right sometime during 2010 and have clamored for each installment in the Charleyverse the way Charley jonses for extra hot mocha lattes. I can’t get enough of them. So, when the rumors started going around that the 13th would be the final Charley installment, well….Is it possible to go into withdrawals ahead of time? So, thank you to Darynda Jones, St Martin’s Press, and the benevolent gods of Netgalley for the ARC, because I would’ve been on tenterhooks if I had to wait until January to read this book.

That being said, I don’t want to give away any spoilers with this review. So, I’ll just say three things…

1) Charley and Reyes have their usual chemistry. We’re talking hot enough to turn sand into glass. WOWZA. I love them, though. They’re such a great couple and are always there for each other…even when they’re not.

2) The time thing works itself out. If you thought about it, you’d probably figure it out ahead of time. So, don’t freak out about it the way I did.

3) It has all the mystery, humor, angst, tension, humor, action, adventure, humor, and heat (did I mention humor?) that you’d expect in the final book in this series. And, the ending really is kinda perfect.

4) OK. I lied. I’ll say 4 things. But, really, this is just my reaction as I was reading: YES! NO! Gemma! WHAAA? Wings! Ubie! Mom? WHAA??? Osh? YAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!

All that to say: You’ll love this book the way Charley loves brown edibles and Reyes Alexander Farrow (though not always in that order).

A very fitting end to the series, although I am sad to see it end. I binge read the whole series in order and I still can't get these characters out of my head.

Funny, action packed, sexy, all rolled into one paranormal adventure. I do hope the author does a spin off series as things were left open enough to see it coming!

I loved it! Wow, what a fantastic conclusion! This is one of the best Urban Fantasy series out there. Darynda Jones is a great writer that I can always count on for a good laugh. So many unexpected and wonderful things happened in this finale. I've grown so attached to these characters that I don't want to see them go. This story left some avenues for some of the characters to veer off on and I'm hoping we can all see them again. I enjoy everything this author has written.

This book was provided to me by the publishers and Netgalley for an honest review.

I just could not find the same amount of love for this book as I did for the others. My biggest issues is the way everything tied up in the end. Stuff that didn't seem possible in the earlier books, now was possible. I also felt that there didn't seem to be any major costs.

All in all, I love the series, but the last book left a lot to be desired.

This is a fabulous ending to a fun sexy series. If you enjoy paranormal with romance and sex, this is a great series. Great for fans of paranormal, fantasy and romance.

I loved everything about this book, but the ending. I'm not sure how I would have wanted it to end, but it wasn't the way it did end. With that said, this has been a great series and I know wonder what the author has in store for us next.

This was quite the wild ride and I enjoyed every minute of it. I’ve been a fan of the series for so long and this was the perfect ending.

Oh my, oh my, why does this series have to end!!! I absolutely love all the characters and what a great way to wrap this series up if it has to wrap up. There are so many things that are resolved in this book, revelations, a few ah ha moments and I think I might have shed a few tears. I do hope Darynda continues with some of these characters in a new series because I'm not ready to let them go. One thing I recommend about this series is to listen to it. The narrator does a fantastic job giving a voice to these characters and making them come to life like I think Darynda meant for them to be. Please, please, please read this series. You won't regret it at all.

I gave this one 4 stars because I feel like it was rushed. Like a lot of the books in this series, they are very fast paced, with a lot of storylines that all come together at the last minute. This one was no different, however, knowing this will be the very last book of the series, I feel there is so much left unfinished.

All that aside, this one did not disappoint. There were more in-depth love scenes in this one that were a suprise. And a couple of twists I did not see coming. Charlie, or "Charles", is as quirky, hysterical and awesome as always. I love the love between her and Reyes, and this was one of my favorites in the series for that particular portion of the story.

I sure hope there are spinoff series' that address Beep and her Army. Plus, for being the last in the series, it ends on somewhat of a cliffhanger. I sure hoper there is more to come from this series I adore.

It’s difficult to review this novel without giving away the plot. I will admit that I am late to the game with this series and would recommend reading from the first book.

This is a humorous and steamy series, involving a band of misfits (in EVERY shape and form) and the end of the world. Lot of twists and turns and need for caffeine. This is a fun read that is at once dark and light-hearted with lots of snark and snappy dialog.

Thanks to Net-Galley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Darynda Jones has done it again....for the 13th time! Phenomenal, hysterical, sexy, jawdropping good, Summoned to the Thirteenth Grave leaves nothing to be desired. Jones ries everything up seemlessly and some really unexpected twist that i did not see coming. While this is supposed to be the end to the series, i just dont know. I do not think i can ever get enough of Charlie and Reyes. I am seriously hoping for some devine intervention! If you are a newcomer to the world of Charlie Davidson you would be doing yourself a serious injustice by not starting the series from book one. While Jones does a great job of catching you up at the start of each book without making it redundant you new readers do not want to miss a second of Charlie, or Reyes, or funny moments- just read them all!

I want to start out by saying I freaking loved this series so much. Darynda Jones has written one of my all time favorite characters in Charley Davidson, and Reyes is one of the most amazing yet broken people I have read in a long time. With all of that being said, it really hurts me to say that I didn't like the last installment in this series. I felt like this book didn't tie anything together very well, and it really left a lot of questions unanswered. I wanted so much more out of this last book in the series but I was so let down. I would still recommend someone to read it, but I would warn them not to have very high expectations of the last book.

For years I was told that I needed to read Darynda Jones and once I read my first book I was hooked. It was a great ride enjoying the antics of Charley, Reyes & the gang and the ending fit perfectly - love this series! Hopefully we'll get a spin-off series with Beep & Osh :)

Absolutely loved this book. Every book in this series is fantastic but this book was the best of all! So sad to see this series end but it definately went out with me wanting MORE.

Excellent end to the series. Without giving too much away many questions were answered satisfactorily. Hopefully, when Beep grows up and realizes her legacy we will get a new series. Well written and great supporting characters.

In business and gambling the word is to quit when you're ahead. In showbiz it's quit while you're at the top. So I guess we can't whine overlong about this being the last of a long run of excellent work.
But we can still whine.
It's been great and always worth rereading, and this last one is excellent but bittersweet. Don't want to say too much about the plot except that it is at the top.
I do wonder who's hiding in Darynda's imagination waiting to get out, though.
I requested and received a free ebook copy from St. Martin's Press via NetGalley. Thank you so much!

I was super excited that I got a copy of this book through NetGalley in exchange for a review, which I am as always happy to give.
What can I say, all good things must come to an end, and what an ending. I loved this series and I am very sad to see it end, but I like that fact that it ended with book 13, it seems very fitting. I would recommend that you read the books in order, since each one picks up were the previous book has left off. There is of course humor, action, steamy love making, our motley crew of beloved characters, and the Author does a wonderful job of tying up loose ends. I sincerely hope that there will be a "Beep" series. Fingers crossed. Since I devoured this book in record time I am rewarding myself by reading the whole series all over again. So much fun and very entertaining. If you love the paranormal genre and kick butt female heroines then this series needs to be on your list of books to read.

I have read and loved all the books in this series and so was a little melancholic that this is the last one. I really enjoyed it. There was a lot of love and comradery. It was so touching that I teared up many times. A lot of loose ends were tied up. I love that Amber and Quinton have become a team and that they were ultimately able to help Meiko and his family. Rocket and Blue Bell were finally able to find happiness. Charley was able to discover what really happened when she was born and Ubie had some splainin' to do. All-in-all things wrapped up nicely and the end of the series was bittersweet for some characters. I have a few complaints, though. First, Mieko is a Japanese girls name so it seemed odd to me for a boy to be named that. Second, The whole story of Hale and why he did what he did had little or no explanation, it seemed odd. Third and last complaint is the way Charley and Reyes decided to protect Beep. It was not really explained well and was very sudden. In the end, I liked the book and am hoping for a spin-off story with maybe Osh and Beep and the rest of the gang but if not, I'll read whatever Ms. Jones writes because she is not only snarky and funny but she also writes a good mystery. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
