Harper McKinney finished culinary school with big dreams. Right now, she’s a bartender at Kinky Spurs. While she’s content with her life, her brother Brody is determined that she make a name for herself with her culinary skills. After the death of Chase’s father, he’s the one responsible for running the construction of the Blackshaw Cattle Company’s guest ranch. He hopes the construction will lead to his newly fledged company expanding but for some reason his build is failing the inspections.
Now Chase has more trouble on his hands. Harper, the woman he’s forbidden to ever touch has decided to move to Las Vegas. She isn’t so little anymore, and Chase is finding her all too tempting. She’s also not shy about what she wants. Him. Naked. And giving her some sweet lovin’ in all the kinky ways he craves.
This is the second book in the series & whilst it could be read on its own the Blackshaw boys are toe curlingly gorgeous that I'd recommend reading the series from the start. Cowboy books aren't my favourite genre in fact I usually avoid them but I read the first in the series & was totally & utterly hooked, it seems like an awful long wait for this book. Chase & Harper have known each other forever, in fact her brother Brody & Chase are best friends but that friendship has turned into something deeper but they’ve both promised Brody to keep away from each other. That is until Harper is due to leave in 8 days time for Las Vegas & the pair decide to be together for those 8 days with no strings attached. What a week they have! there's a wedding, work to be redone on the construction & a Labrador pup called Houdini who steals the books. I was riveted from the start & read the book in 2 sittings, the story flowed really well, there was humour, heart wrenching moments, a bit of intrigue & lots of romance. I can’t wait for Nash's story
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Sweet-Loving Cowboy was everything that I wanted it to be and more.
Chase was just as swoony as I expected him to be, but what really made me fall in love with this book was how much Harper’s education and dreams played into the plot. Everything came back to her future and how it shouldn’t be decided by romantic inclinations. I love a strong heroine who has aspirations beyond the men in her life.
I can’t wait for Nash and Megan’s story. Kennedy gives a peek of what’s to come at the end of this book. You definitely don’t want to miss that tease. I love the enemies-to-lovers trope even more than the sister-of-the-best-friend trope.

Sweet Loving Cowboy is the second book in the Kinky Spurs series by Stacey Kennedy. This can definitely be read as a standalone without feeling like you're missing anything.
I enjoyed this book more than the first one. The characters personalities worked well and fit in the story. Chase is kinky in the bedroom and it totally fits him. While in his day to day he is always the perfect gentleman, putting others before him self and making sure everyone gets their dreams, when it comes to behind doors he is dominant and takes what he wants/needs. It was hot and Harper went along with it smoothly and anticipated when he got that gleam in his eye.
The story worked well for me because it was believable, which is one of the reason I find myself really enjoying siblings best friend romances. Chase and Harper already knew each other and had a connection when the book starts. We got to experience all the sexual tension at its tipping point and it was perfection.
I am really looking forward to the next book in the series and having my fingers crossed it's a certain head butting pair 😉

I ended up liking this one more than I expected to. I'm not the biggest fan of the brothers best friend trope because almost always the hero won't go after the heroine because of the brother. I'm not really a fan of a man stepping back. I like to see the hero go after what he wants and it seems Harper feels the same way. She wants a man willing to stand up to her brother.
While Chase did wait to pursue at first, it wasn't because of the brother. He waited for reasons that meant he was looking out for Harper and that endeared me to Chase in a big way. This had total angstfest written all over it, but instead we got to see Chase step up and never faltering even if their relationship had the potential of being short lived. I liked that. We got to see these two be together with no pushing away.
So far this one is my favorite of the series. Of course when you throw in an adorable puppy into the storyline, it makes it that much better. Nash's story is up next and the sparks have been flying since book one. I can't wait to see what is going to make these two finally give in. ARC provided by NetGalley.

Sweet - Loving Cowboy is a quick read that will make you smile and then leaving you wanting to smack someone upside their heads for their actions ;)
In true Stacey Kennedy fashion the story packs a punch, is sexy, and well-written.

There is nothing better than a hard-working, caring, and sweet man, who just happens to be sexy. Did I mention he has sexy brothers too? I enjoyed reading about Chase and Harper's story. I love that they're both working towards their dreams, and finding new ones. I love that there's a puppy named Houdini. I also loved all the family connections and friendships. I read this book in one sitting and was left with a smile on my face, and anticipation for the last Blackshaw brother's story. In other words, I'd definitely recommend it!

Hot and sexy! This was a fantastic fun story, I love how the author threw in Houdini he was a fun addition to their story. Looking forward to reading more from this great author

Sweet-Loving Cowboy is the second book in Stacey Kennedy's Kinky Spurs series. Even though I have not yet read the first book in the series, I did not feel particularly lost jumping right in with this one. That being said, I will go back and read the first because I can (and I'm sure the backstory on the Blackshaws' situation will be more clear.)
Sweet-Loving Cowboy is Chase Blackshaw and Harper McKinney's story. Harper is the little sister of his best friend Brody, and he wasn't really interested in her until she returned home after attending culinary school.
At that point, the two sensed the chemistry between them, but it took nine months before they acted on it. In large part, this was due to Brody and his extreme overprotectiveness when it comes to Harper, but Chase also did not want to get in the way of Harper's dreams.
Finally, the two indulged in an eight-day romance, knowing that they would part when Harper left to follow her dreams. The physical chemistry between Chase and Harper was delicious (even more so because they had been waiting for so many months). They also had a deeper connection based on the friendship they developed over that time. They trusted each other and were able to confide in one another. Throw in a sweet puppy with an adorable name, and it's a lovely cowboy romance.
Now I'll have to go back and read Dirty-Talking Cowboy and wait for Hard-Riding Cowboy to be released. Both promise to be excellent reads.

Sweet-Loving Cowboy is the second book in Stacey Kennedy’s Kinky Spurs series. I think it has just about everything that a romance lover would want in a book. The main character is a sexy, charming and devoted Cowboy. This is a great storyline that I really enjoyed. Everything flowed so nicely and I loved how things all worked out for Chase and Harper's in the end.

Another fantastic addition to this Bradshaw brothers series! Looking for a hot, sexy, dominant yet sweet talking cowboy? Then you definitely need to meet Chase. The chemistry between Chase and Harper is so strong in this forbidden romance. I absolutely devoured this read and CAN NOT WAIT for Nash’s book.

This is a good one. I’m really liking these Blackshaw brothers. Chase is all construction cowboy on the streets and a little kinky between the sheets. Whew these two are smoking hot together. Harper is one lucky girl. I liked the storyline line a lot and I’m really enjoying all the characters. Nash’s book is next. I can’t wait to read that one. He seems like a whole lotta fun.

Complete swoon! This guy is just so yummy! Chase is so caring and genuine. He also is a man sure of himself and what he wants so needless to say he does not play games. When he is faced with the reality that Harper is about to start a life away from him he is jolted into action and finally decides to put himself and his needs first. Harper and Chase have had an attraction brewing for months that has grown stronger with friendship. And let me tell you, when they finally give in, it is HOT! But this story has more to it because besides having a delicious man that knows how to bind a woman, he also knows how to treat her right. Reading them together is sweeter than eating all day at a candy store. Best part is that with his understanding and support, Harper finds all the answers of what she really needs and what makes her happy. And with her help he learns to just live and enjoy the moment. That he doesn't have to be the problem solver all the time. But what this book shows you more than anything is that family is what matters most. And the story of how they get there besides being beautiful, makes you respect these characters more and more because of the decisions they make.

I didn't read the first one, so I don't know if that would have changed my view at all, but this was just meh for me. The premise was nothing new, the plot was thin, the foreshadowing was apparent, even the sex was kinda bland. It wasn't bad, but I felt like I've read the same story several times before, so I was bored.

Author Stacey Kennedy is one of the world's most popular romance author. I will always be a fan because her books are well written, filled with strong characters, humor, exciting plots, and beautiful romance.
The charm and appeal of her characters are infectious. Harper McKinney is sassy, and fun to read. She knows that Chase Blackshaw is who she wants. Together they face all the obstacles that come their way. Together they make magic that will keep glued to the pages.

This was a first read from Stacey Kennedy and I am already looking forward to the next book.
This story was a brothers best friend to lover story. Chase was the epitome of well behaved, he had given his word to leave Harper alone....until he found out she was leaving in a week. The fireworks that had been building exploded. There were hot times, there were times I wanted to strangle both characters, and finally I got my HEA! Do I recommend? Yep! Will I read the next one? Can’t wait to see what happens in Nash and Megan’s book.

The story was greatly written, the plot was an amazing mix between sweet love and steaming hot scenes.
Have you ever loved someone so much, that you would sacrifice your love for the other to let him/her chase their own dreams?
But sometimes dreams, perspectives and feelings change. Sometimes you will find that the path you´ve always followed wasn´t your own. Just something to give you feeling to be closer to someone you´ve loved, you felt like you´re home. Sometimes the feeling to find your home changes, person´s view revise. Just like Harper and Chase´s. Following their own dreams but sacrifice their love for one another. What they´ve got are 8 days. 8 days full of emotions, full of passion.
Although I loved both characters the one that charmed my heart was the puppy Houdini...true magician, who could bring your heart to beat just little faster ...

4 1/2 sexy stars! I am just loving this series so far! Chase is so darn sweet and sexy and hard working to boot! I love this story line and how everything flows so nicely and of course how things all work out for Chase and Harper's HEA. (and Houdini too of course). There are some seriously smoldering hot and steamy scenes between Chase and Harper and you know from the moment they embark on what is supposed to be 8 days of bliss, that it would never be enough. Harper is supposed to be moving to Vegas to follow her lifelong dream, which is what makes Chase finally decide to take their friendship over the line. But is Vegas really her dream? Or are her and Chase and Houdini meant to be a family and follow slightly different dreams together? This one will leave you with a full heart and a smile.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.

I usually enjoy just about anything this author writes, but this one fell flat for me. The concept of this story has been told so many times, and this rendering did not give me anything new. I am still a fan and will continue to read what she publishes.

Such a Sweet-Loving, Hot Cowboy.
I just love all of the Blackshaw men and how their women always bring them to their knees. Chase was no exception.
Harper has been waiting for him to make his move since she returned home from Denver, but she is tired of waiting and is going to take matters into her own hands. All it takes is a sick dog to show Chase just what’s the most important thing in his life.
I can’t wait for the next book, which belongs to Nash and Megan. I can’t wait to see Megan bring Nash to his knees.

Sweet-Loving Cowboy is book two in the Kinky Spurs series by Stacey Kennedy. I loved the first book in this series so much and have been waiting not so patiently for this book. I knew I was going to love Chase and it turns out I was oh so right!
Chase, Nash and Shep Blackshaw recently lost their father who ran their ranch and Blackshaw Cattle. Only, unbeknownst to them, he left the company in debt when he died. So it was left up to the three of them to save the ranch so their mother wouldn’t lose her home. They decided to make the ranch a guest ranch where visitors can come to live like an authentic cowboy. Chase, the middle child of the three boys, had been saving for years to start his own construction company, only things got put on hold while he helped on the ranch. Building the new guest cabins will be his first official job as Blackshaw Construction. If he can do a good job, it could be the launch his company needs.
Chase has never felt a connection strong enough to get serious with any woman. Nine months ago, his best friend, Brody McKinney’s little sister came home from culinary school. Chase always thought of her as Brody’s little annoying sister. But she wasn’t so little anymore. She was twenty-seven years old and he was instantly attracted to her. He didn’t do anything about it but it was an attraction that steadily grew. She was working at the local bar, Kinky Spurs, and for the last three months, Chase would go in every evening after work and she would cook dinner for him. All this time, Chase never made any move but it was evident that she felt the chemistry between them just as strongly as he did.
Harper McKinney had always wanted to be a chef. But when she was younger, her dreams were stolen from her when her parents died tragically. Her brother Brody raised her. Now, after culinary school, her dreams are again within her grasp. She has an offer to go to Las Vegas to work under a dream mentor. Then she wants to open her own restaurant. As soon as she came home to River Rock, and saw Chase Blackshaw again, though, she knew there was something there. So, she put everything on hold to see if it led anywhere. But he never made a move. She knew he wanted her. But she was afraid she would always be Brody’s little sister to him which was out of bounds. Was she wasting her time waiting? Should she just go to Las Vegas and pursue her dream there?
“He craved her, as much as she did him. Sadly, she knew Chase was a dream she had to stop pursuing.”
Chase was raised to always be honorable, to put others first. He knows that Harper has a dream of going to Vegas. He doesn’t want her to have to choose between him and her dreams. But when he realizes that she has already bought her plane ticket and is leaving in eight days, he decides he can’t let her go without at least giving them the chance to experience each other during these last eight days. Then he will let her go.
“How are you so strong and yet so full of heart? I’ve never met anyone like you.”
These eight days were supposed to be all about Harper. But everything all but imploded during that time. First, Harper finds a puppy that has been abandoned and Chase finds himself taking care of a special needs lab puppy. He failed the inspection on the guest cabins. This is supposed to be his ticket to get his business off the ground. What will happen when word gets out that he failed the inspection? His feelings for Harper are growing every day. He knows he has to let her go when their time is up but he’s finding it harder and harder to imagine his life without her in it.
“Chase’s honesty was love. His respect for her was love. His wanting her to be happy was love. His heated touch was love.”
I loved this book. Chase and Harper’s chemistry was off the charts. Chase liked a bit of kinky play and Harper was all for it. But as I said before, Chase is also an honest and honorable man. There’s no way I couldn’t fall in love with him. Especially the way he cared for the little puppy. This is such a fantastic series and I can’t wait for the next book which will be Nash and Megan’s story in Hard-Riding Cowboy.
“Happiness isn’t what you do, it’s who you’re with when you do it.”
