Such a Sweet-Loving, Hot Cowboy.

I just love all of the Blackshaw men and how their women always bring them to their knees. Chase was no exception.

Harper has been waiting for him to make his move since she returned home from Denver, but she is tired of waiting and is going to take matters into her own hands. All it takes is a sick dog to show Chase just what’s the most important thing in his life.

I can’t wait for the next book, which belongs to Nash and Megan. I can’t wait to see Megan bring Nash to his knees.

Sweet-Loving Cowboy is book two in the Kinky Spurs series by Stacey Kennedy. I loved the first book in this series so much and have been waiting not so patiently for this book. I knew I was going to love Chase and it turns out I was oh so right!

Chase, Nash and Shep Blackshaw recently lost their father who ran their ranch and Blackshaw Cattle. Only, unbeknownst to them, he left the company in debt when he died. So it was left up to the three of them to save the ranch so their mother wouldn’t lose her home. They decided to make the ranch a guest ranch where visitors can come to live like an authentic cowboy. Chase, the middle child of the three boys, had been saving for years to start his own construction company, only things got put on hold while he helped on the ranch. Building the new guest cabins will be his first official job as Blackshaw Construction. If he can do a good job, it could be the launch his company needs.

Chase has never felt a connection strong enough to get serious with any woman. Nine months ago, his best friend, Brody McKinney’s little sister came home from culinary school. Chase always thought of her as Brody’s little annoying sister. But she wasn’t so little anymore. She was twenty-seven years old and he was instantly attracted to her. He didn’t do anything about it but it was an attraction that steadily grew. She was working at the local bar, Kinky Spurs, and for the last three months, Chase would go in every evening after work and she would cook dinner for him. All this time, Chase never made any move but it was evident that she felt the chemistry between them just as strongly as he did.

Harper McKinney had always wanted to be a chef. But when she was younger, her dreams were stolen from her when her parents died tragically. Her brother Brody raised her. Now, after culinary school, her dreams are again within her grasp. She has an offer to go to Las Vegas to work under a dream mentor. Then she wants to open her own restaurant. As soon as she came home to River Rock, and saw Chase Blackshaw again, though, she knew there was something there. So, she put everything on hold to see if it led anywhere. But he never made a move. She knew he wanted her. But she was afraid she would always be Brody’s little sister to him which was out of bounds. Was she wasting her time waiting? Should she just go to Las Vegas and pursue her dream there?

“He craved her, as much as she did him. Sadly, she knew Chase was a dream she had to stop pursuing.”

Chase was raised to always be honorable, to put others first. He knows that Harper has a dream of going to Vegas. He doesn’t want her to have to choose between him and her dreams. But when he realizes that she has already bought her plane ticket and is leaving in eight days, he decides he can’t let her go without at least giving them the chance to experience each other during these last eight days. Then he will let her go.

“How are you so strong and yet so full of heart? I’ve never met anyone like you.”

These eight days were supposed to be all about Harper. But everything all but imploded during that time. First, Harper finds a puppy that has been abandoned and Chase finds himself taking care of a special needs lab puppy. He failed the inspection on the guest cabins. This is supposed to be his ticket to get his business off the ground. What will happen when word gets out that he failed the inspection? His feelings for Harper are growing every day. He knows he has to let her go when their time is up but he’s finding it harder and harder to imagine his life without her in it.

“Chase’s honesty was love. His respect for her was love. His wanting her to be happy was love. His heated touch was love.”

I loved this book. Chase and Harper’s chemistry was off the charts. Chase liked a bit of kinky play and Harper was all for it. But as I said before, Chase is also an honest and honorable man. There’s no way I couldn’t fall in love with him. Especially the way he cared for the little puppy. This is such a fantastic series and I can’t wait for the next book which will be Nash and Megan’s story in Hard-Riding Cowboy.

“Happiness isn’t what you do, it’s who you’re with when you do it.”

Stacey Kennedy has wrote an ideal book boyfriend when it comes to Chase Blackshaw. He’s sweet, southern, sexy, hard working, and so very kinky! Chase is the ultimate bachelor and has some super hot brothers as well. Harper who left town to pursue her dream of cooking went to culinary college and now she’s back. She’s got the super over protective brother and there is a good reason for it. But will Harper let her brother control her future and follow her dreams of going to Vegas? Chase and Harper have a great friendship and will they keep it that way. Everyone around them has an opinion about their situation. I loved this book and these characters. There is also super cute puppies and funny dogs in this book. Oh Nash and his dog Gus had me laughing. This definitely a must read! Super hot cowboys and puppies, what more could anyone want! Such a great story.

OH MY GOD!!!! I thought I loved the first book in the series but I LLLLOOOOVVEEE (yes shouting) Chase and Harper in Sweet-Loving Cowboy! Yes I love a book that has instant chemistry and HOT HOT sex but what I really love is the connection and the love that you feel Chase has for Harper right away. I love that he went to her brother first to be open and honest in his intent to see her. I love that she was there for him when he was having a bad day (inspection day). I enjoy the side characters like all the brothers and the friends and his mom. Houdini was adorable!!! This is definitely a book on my re-read list!!!! I'd give it 100 stars if I could. Bring me more cowboys!

Sweet loving indeed! Chase has to be the most noble of the 3 brothers who were taught right is right. Then comes Harper the one woman he shouldn't want to test those limits. 8 days to make memories to hold on to and let her go... can they? Or will she make the decision to stay and be with the family she built. Chase has two choices at the end of the time, be the man he has always been or become the man they both need and finally take what he wants!

Steamy Hot Romantic Book!

Chase Blackshaw is one out of 3 Hot Blackshaw Brothers. Chase is in the construction business trying to build his business. Meanwhile he is helping his brothers by building a guest ranch to keep his late father's company Blackshaw Cattle Company in business. However at the moment Chase is a little distracted by is best friend's sister Harper McKinney. A fine line that he can't cross.

Harper McKinney is a culinary student who came back to River Rock now working for Kinky Spurs as a bartender. Now that she's back she can't seem to get her mind off of her brother's best friend Chase Blackshaw.

Will they finally decide to cross that line knowing what's a stake?? Must Read!

First time reading from Kennedy and really enjoyed it! The romance between the two characters was really steamy and I loved it.

My first read by Ms. Kennedy -- thoroughly enjoyed this book! Harper and Chase are super likable characters with LOTS of chemistry.

Harper is a woman with a big dream. Chase is a man just starting to make his dream come true. Can their dreams mix together to make a happily ever after!

The writing is solid. The story moves quickly, but not rushed. I love all of the ancillary characters and look forward to reading more from this series.

Houdini might be my favorite extra! The perfect sweet addition to Chase and Harper's adventure.

Enjoy this fun cowboy read!

This is the second book in series, and loved it as much as the first.

Harper and Chase’s story is so realistic and relatable. Hopes and dreams in life often have to be changed as we grow. It is very easy to get lost in this story and root for them to make it work.

Please read and enjoy as much as I did.

Perfectly titled book. Chase is so sweet and loving. And protective of Harper's dream. This story had me feeling all mushy inside. Loved it.

Chase and Harper have known each other all of their lives. To Chase, Harper was always his best friend’s pesty little sister until she returned home from culinary school a grown woman. They were instantly attracted to one another, but Chase had sworn not to touch Harper, and she only planned to be home temporarily. Despite all of Harper’s efforts, it took her months to convince Chase to give in to their attraction. He agreed about a week before she planned to move to Vegas to begin a mentorship with a renowned chef. Sometimes the best laid plans are meant to change and that happened here. This was a fun, quick read, and a nice follow-up to the previous book in the series. I’m looking forward to seeing how the remaining Blackshaw brother finds love in the next book.

Chase is just as yummy as his brother. We all know a week was going to never be enough even though that week was HAWT! He was willing to let Harper go follow her dreams. She was willing to stay and fight for both of them.

Can't wait for the third brother to fall for his enemy...and you know he is.

Ever since Dirty Talking Cowboy, I’ve been waiting for Chase to get his head out of the sand (trying to be nice and keep it clean) and just take a chance on Harper.
Harper is Brody’s little sister, and in Chase mind, going after your BFF little sister is a big no. however, time is running out for Chase, soon Harper will be following her dreams to Vegas and he has to take advantage of the time he has so that neither of them will be wondering what could have been.
Like the saying goes, we regret the things we didn’t do, rather than regret the thing we did. Harper is going to put her time left to good use, no point holding back if she only has a few days to enjoy with Chase, but after those days are over, it might be too hard for her to leave Chase behind to follow her dreams to Vegas.
I can’t wait to read more of this series. I love the interactions between Harper and Chase. I look forward to Nash and Megan story.

For some time now Chase Blackshaw has wanted more than friendship with Harper McKinney, but he has kept that little secret tucked away, because of a promise he made to her brother a few years ago. His best friend noticed his interest in her and warned him off, asking him to give her time to follow her dreams of being a chef, which he did, and it took her away to culinary school for a while. But now she has returned home and has started working at a local bar, and Chase is itching to finally make her his... but once again her brother throws up another roadblock to keep them apart. And as much as he wants to be with her, he can't help but want to do right by his friend too. So they continue to circle around one another, both knowing there is a connection there, and both knowing it could land them in a heap of trouble. Just when Chase decides it might be time to clue her in to his true feelings for her, she gets handed a opportunity of a lifetime in Vegas, which means she will be leaving him all over again...

Sweet-Loving Cowboy has the perfect blend of everything needed for a great toe-curling romance story, it's emotional, erotic, with a touch of sweet! I thoroughly enjoyed my time with these two, their forbidden romance generated lots of angst and feels, my heart was on overdrive throughout the pages, one minute it was feeling the love, and the next it was feeling the squeeze of torment. This beautifully crafted story line pulled me right in, and had me never wanting to say goodbye to these wonderful characters, they were SO good for my heart! I highly recommend this series, these Blackshaw brothers should not be missed, their stories bring some serious heat and heart!!

I really enjoyed this book. It was a little slow to get going but after about a quarter of the way through I was absorbed in the book and really did not want to put it down. Chase and Harper both have their dreams and also things in their way. They both want each other and have for awhile, but they stayed away. Now with only a week until Harper leaves for Vegas they think they can have a friends with benefits relationship and then let go when the time comes. YEAH right! We all know that is kind of a disaster waiting to happen. They are explosive together and there is no way this will end the way they expect. Throw in a cute labrador pup they rescue and ... awwww... they find their family. There is an HEA, but the journey there and them discovering what they really want and overcoming crap in their way make for an awesome read.

The second book in Stacey Kennedy’s Kinky Spurs series is every romance lovers dream. With a sexy, charming and devoted Cowboy, and a fun, determined and confused young woman, it definitely keeps readers on their toes. A beautiful storyline that reveals the depth of duty and commitment a brother has to his sibling’s future, and the Cowboy who wants her heart, but will forsake his own for a few days of unbridled passion.

I must admit Shep besotted me in book one, but Chase is the whole package. Determined to make a name as master builder and help keep his family ranch afloat in the process, Chase has a heart of gold, a sweet and caring nature and eyes for only one woman. Unfortunately, that woman is his best friend’s sister and destined to leave their little corner of the world for bigger and better things. But the chance to spend the last days of Harper’s time in River Rock wrapped in each others arms is too tempting to resist, no matter the risk to his fragile heart.

Harper has dreams that will take her to the bright lights of Vegas and a brilliant career that is fuelled by her passion for cooking. But she’s waited for the one man she can’t ignore to make a move before she closes that door. When it seems that she’ll leave River Rock without ever knowing the warmth of his embrace, Chase finally succumbs to his banked longing and Harper basks in the glow of a passion so intense she’s reeling with emotion.

This is definitely my favourite book of the series so far. Chase and Harper are wonderful together, and their emotional rollercoaster is dissected to perfection. Sweet-Loving Cowboy has everything; drama, deception, family interference and some serious soul searching too, but in the end love is what really matters and knowing when to follow your dreams and discovering where those dreams truly lie, are sometimes more closely related than you ever realised.

Sweet-Loving Cowboy is the second book in the Kinky Spurs series and a great addition it is! I love the Blackshaw brothers and between the three of them, they ooze sexiness, loyalty and they are a hard working trio trying to keep their father's business alive.

Chase Blackshaw is working on his biggest and most important project to date - the construction of the Blackshaw Cattle Company's new guest ranch. Chase is hoping this is going to put his new construction company on the map, but also help he family keep their ranch afloat in the process.

Harper McKinney is the younger sister of Chase's best friend and she's just returned back home after attending culinary school in Denver. Her dream has always been to go to Vegas and open her own restaurant, but circumstances have not allowed her to do that, until now. She's closing in on the date that she will leave home and begin pursuing what she's always wanted.

The one thing that has always hung between Chase and Harper is their explosive chemistry. There is no doubt they are attracted to one another, but Chase is not going to be the person who holds Harper back from her dreams, so he has chosen not to explore what he knows would be amazing between them. When they finally get to the point they can't fight their attraction anymore, Harper and Chase decide to take advantage of the 8 days they have left together before she leaves. Will 8 days be enough?

I really enjoyed how this story unfolded and while the trope is one that has been done many times before, I really liked this take on it. It wasn't where the brother thought that his friend wasn't good enough for his sister, it was that he knew his sister had not gotten the opportunity to follow her dreams previously and he doesn't want her to sacrifice that for anything. It really showed the depth of a brother's love and also the understanding of the man who was falling in love with her.

Great work by Stacey Kennedy and I can't wait to read the next book in this series!
