Glad this is the beginning of a series. Can definitely see it becoming a tv miniseries. Realistic characters and feasible scenarios make this an interesting read. Looking forward to their next adventure!

Brynn is doing everything she can to escape her life. She works small cons to pay for college in hopes of getting away from her mother's drug dealer boyfriend. She works a legitimate job too and keeps excellent grades. When the boyfriend steals her stash of cash then accuses her of running stolen drugs in rival territory, Brynn knows she needs to make a drastic change.

On the way home one afternoon, she notices a familiar face. A teenage boy who she's spotted several times over the day all across the city. Brynn decides to follow him, and gets involved in a contest that could change her life. If Brynn can con a corrupt Senator's son, she can win and keep a spot in the prestigious Vale Hall - a private high school that will open more doors than she could ever imagine. But high school amongst a group of teens trained to deceive, might be more than Brynn wants to handle.

This was a great book. Brynn has a strong voice that draws in the reader. There is a good level of intrigue and deception in the plot. For fans of Ally Carter.

Love, love, love. Boarding schools, con artists, vengeance - all of my favorite things in one fast-paced read. My only complaint about this book is that I have to wait for the rest of the series!

Okay. I am not surprise that I liked this book. Kristen Simmons has a unique way of twisting you up into her story until you can’t put is down. I felt like I was attacked by a slinky. I am not a huge Pretty Little Liars fan, so I was not too excited to read the summary with it compared to it. Yet, I will tell you go ahead and take the plunge, read this novel! Simmons delivers a contemporary treat that will make you giggle plus it’s a series, so Brynn will be back! It’s full of crappy politicians, upper class liars, and private school antics. Kristen Simmons has an exciting, adventurous novel for anyone who wants to stick it to the man so to speak.

You know how there are some books you want to read, but don't know you want to read them until someone write one? This is one of those books. I had no idea that I was craving a book about clever criminal teenagers who go to a secret hustler school and their shady, vigilante headmaster. But apparently I was. And it's totally my jam.

In this retelling of the Nordic myth of the Valkyries and Odin, Brynn Hilder is a kid from the wrong side of town who is doing anything she can to survive and escape to a better life. She's drawn into the plans of Dr. Odin, a mysterious benefactor and the headmaster of a school for hustlers - kids who learn the art of conning and blackmailing. Danger abounds, shenanigans, ensue, there's a beautiful boy with a tragic past, and a hip cast of characters that add layers to the story.

I loved every minute I spent reading this book; it went by much too quickly. And I sincerely hope there are more Brynn/Caleb stories to follow.
