While the comic was funny for the times, it felt as though it was missing something. The illustrations could have been better and the humor aspect were 50/50 shot.

This book did not live up to my expectations. It wasn't particularly well drawn or even very funny. There is plenty to critique and satirise Donald Trump about, but the story here was bizarre and didn't feel very relevant.

I felt like this missed the mark. It had the potential to be really funny, but most of the jokes fell flat for me. But any chance to make fun of our buffoon of a president and I'm all in.

This was not particularly funny or interesting or accurate. Not even aesthetically pleasing or well drawn. I’d pass.

I had high hopes for this, but unfortunately this was objectively not very funny at all. The jokes just fell very flat for me. I liked the concept much better than the execution, both in terms of the jokes told and in terms of the art style. I didn’t think Putin was even remotely recognizable, and they even put a name tag on him - perhaps because they knew he wasn’t easily distinguishable? Wish I’d liked this but you can’t win them all.

Enjoyed the concept more than the actual result. Some of the concepts were entertaining – a wish machine that gets Trump elected explains a lot! But some of the jokes just fell completely flat with me.
Thank you NetGalley and publisher, Seth Levens, for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Meh? I dunno. This had a lot of potential to be really funny, but I really did not care for the art at all, and some of the jokes fell a bit flat for me.

On the other hand, I did chuckle a couple of times, and I love that all profits benefit Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

So, down the middle for me. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3.

Thank you to NetGalley and BookBuzz for providing me with a DRC of this book.

This comical exploration of how Trump became president takes a page from the movie Big. But it's not funny. It perpetuates the stereotype that Russian only speak broken English and does nothing but push the Russian narrative. There is a small twist but that it's fun because we know he never listens to women. I wasn't big on the style of art either.
I read this because I had heard a lot about it and decided to check it out. It did not live up to teh hype.

What a quirky little read. It did take a few backwards turns and numerous reread before I could follow this book, but it was worth it in the end.
