Melanie and Tanner are usually at each other’s throats, they bicker and argue and all that passion led them straight into bed. Fast-forward 2 months and a stick with blue lines, damn. Melanie has no idea what she is going to do, first step would be telling Tanner, if she was not actively avoiding him at the moment. This is going to be interesting.

Tanner is not a relationship guy, he loves women without a doubt but he was never one to get attached. Not until Melanie that is. Her fire, spunk and drive caught his eye from day one and the passion they had debating different subjects, definitely carried over to the bedroom. Now months after their one night together, he can’t get her out of his mind.

Melanie has no idea how to trust Tanner, especially with her psycho ex still bugging her every move. She has given up the ghost of ever being free of him. Tanner doesn’t seem like the type to be ready for the commitment a baby would bring to his life.

Tanner has been down this road before, no one knows that unfortunately. He will do whatever it takes to protect Melanie and their baby. He won’t lose them, he couldn’t survive if he did.

Melanie and Tanner each bring their own brand of obsessions to the relationship table. Melanie learning to trust someone else to have her back, not stab her in it. And Tanner is learning to live again after suffering such a great loss. Their love story grows, as their baby grows.

Be With Me returns to Haven in the very best way, showcasing all the wonderful friendships we’ve developed right along with the characters. I received an advance copy of this 4 ½ star read without expectation for review. Any and all opinions expressed are my own.

I love love love this series! Tanner is my new book boyfriend. The way he handles the unexpected news is a true man. They worked through it nicely and story flowed easily. Jules Bennett is quickly become one of my favorite authors!

One night stand leaves divorcee Melanie pregnant with the handsome officer Tanner’s baby. This novel is part of a series, but it can be read as a standalone. I am hoping to read the next installment, hopefully on Cash and Jade.
So both Mel and Tanner have been through a lot. Tanner was once engaged and with a baby on the way, and in one swoop he lost his love and baby. Mel was married and in an abusive relationship, now that she is free she doesn’t want to lose control of her life that she has built for herself after the divorce. Mel is very reluctant at the beginning, wanting to limit Tanner’s role in her life as only her baby’s father but slowly she starts trusting him more and more. Tanner proves he is nothing like Mel’s ex, and that he will be there to protect both Mel and the baby.

I'm loving this series! Melanie and Tanner were so great together, even though they both had major baggage. Melanie's take charge attitude after her past relationship was inspiring, and Tanner's all around goodness shines through the whole story. I'm intrigued by Jade and Cash's clashing, so their book should be really good! Anxiously waiting...

Be with Me was such a cute book! The only bummer was that I didn't know that it was the second book in a series until I started reading. It's a series of connected standalones so that didn't make it impossible to read Be with Me, I just would have liked to have read Livvie and Jax's story first.

Mel and Tanner have a one night stand that results in a future bundle of joy. I thought that this was really well done, especially considering that they both have issues where pregnancy is concerned. They worked through them though and I could feel the strength of their relationship even though it was a short amount of time they've known each other.

I do wish that the situation with Mel wasn't wrapped up quite so fast, I felt like her jerk of an ex husband wouldn't have taken a back seat that fast, but all's well that ends well.

You can not go wrong with a Jules Bennett book. I have been a avid fan for several years and she never disappoints. You will not be disappointed in this series. This is the second book in the Return to Haven series and though you do not have to read Stay with Me to enjoy this one. It doesn't hurt.

This is Melanie and Tanners story. You will love the deputy Tanner. There is nothing better than watching a Alpha Playboy finally fall in love.. Melanie is such a strong character and I loved how that she never wanted to waive again after her divorce. This is a instant lust turned slow and perfect love.

You can't go wrong with this one.

Can't wait for the third one in this series..

This is the first book I read by this author, and it certainly will not be the last one.
I thoroughly enjoyed the story.
The plot was engaging and centered around Melanie Ramsey and Tanner Roark. Melanie moved to Haven not only to help her friends but also to start anew , after she divorced her abusive husband.
Tanner is a police officer who is all about protecting the innocent . When they meet, the attraction is instant though at first it was masked as a total dislike. When they give in to a moment of passion, little did they know that their lives would change forever. Both have had losses and been hurt deeply and are still recovering. But Tanner is determined to do what he can to create a family while Melanie does not want to depend on anyone.
Yes, it’s a story about heartbreaks, and lost dreams, but it is more than that. It’s a story about true friendships, family, overcoming obstacles, trust not only in others but also in oneself, and of finding someone who loves you for whom you are . Kudos also to the author for bringing up the subject of domestic abuse, which sadly, is very real.
My only regret is that I have not read book one in the series. That said , I can’t wait to see what else the author has in store for us in book 3.
I was entrusted this copy by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I found Be with Me easy to read and entertaining.
Melanie comes from an abusive marriage. Tanner has suffered loss and hasn't quite recovered from it.
At first, I was intrigued by the story and how the characters would overcome their issues and fears. As the story unfolded, I discovered that I didn't agree with the way the characters acted.
As for the writing, I found it rather repetitive at times, and I didn't like that "damn if", "endured hell", "hell of" (among others) were used so much.

I received a free ARC from Netgalley for my honest review.

I loved the first book in the series so I was really excited to read this. I really enjoy Jules Bennett's writing style.

This is the story of Melanie Ramsey and Tanner Roark. She moved to Haven to help out her closest friends. She started a motivational blog after her divorce to help other women. Melanie does not want to give up her independence again for a man.

What is important to Tanner is helping the weak and seeking justice after a horrible loss. He is happy with his life the way it is. Then he meets Melanie. Both their lives change.

This was a great story I really enjoyed it. You should really check out this book and series. It made me laugh at parts and cry at others. Please check it out.

Revenge is sweet, and sometimes for a good cause.

Tanner's the girl in this conversation.

Ugh, her ex was such a twat.

Ooh, a secret life. Nice.

Piper is adorable.

What the heck? What is so controlling about pastry?

His job keeps getting in the way, poor guy.

No one invited Jade over for Thanksgiving?

I like that she didn't freak out that he didn't tell her about his fiancee right away.

That was so obvious, people.

Man, how is holding hostages going to help your family?

Aargh! All she had to do was not get in the car!

Is that true about the state attorney general? Because that would be awesome.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.
This is the second book in the Return to Haven series that centers on Melanie and Tanner. Melanie was in an abusive marriage with a wealthy and powerful man. She walked away from the marriage two years ago and is now a successful blogger. Tanner is a local Haven police officer, who also helps abused women escape their abusers. Melanie and Tanner don’t want to start a relationship, but end up hooking up one night. Of course, this one night stand ends up in a pregnancy. Working together to make a good life for their future child forces Melanie and Tanner face their past traumas and eventually realize that they love each other. What I liked about this book, the accidental pregnancy trope, Tanner as the sensitive Alpha and the pace of the relationship. I had problems with two areas, Melanie’s evil ex and Melanie’s wimpy reaction to so many things. I felt that the ex was a very two dimensional villain. Melanie was supposed to be this strong survivor of abuse and a very smart person, but she did some really dumb things. I just wish she had been stronger and solved her own issues.

It has been such a pleasure to revisit past characters from previous stories set in Haven, GA, along with the captivating characters who are part of this second story in the series. The author has created such versatile characters who are able to seamlessly crossover between stories and still remain fresh and current, with personalities which are easy to form an emotional attachment to...and with an invested interest in the journey they take to get to their HEA.

With the smart dialog and witty banter...especially between Tanner, Jax, and Cash...it quite easy to loose yourself in the story and its underlying message of family and the bonds formed, not only through blood, but also through the choice of friendship. Ms Bennett is definitely an author who I watch out for her latest stories.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

A sweet story in the next Haven story. A one night stand with Tanner leaves Melanie pregnant. She is rebuilding her life after surviving and leaving an abusive marriage. Tanner is stunned by the news and is fearful because he lost his fiancée and child years earlier.

Tanner is a stand up guy and his take on the changes in his life are admirable. Melanie has trust issues and I wished she had opened up to Tanner faster. Loved catching up with characters from previous books, but it can standalone as well.

Overall, a great book.

Many thanks to the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley.

I love this series and was eagerly awaiting Tanner and Melanie's story. I like how close everyone is. The friends and the people of the town. I can't wait to see what happens next and what the baby will be. I can only hope that will be revealed in Cash and Jade's story.

BE WITH ME by Jules Bennett is a cute short story about friends who fall in love. Melanie from an abusive relationship, now divorced. Tanner a Police officer, with a tragic past relationship who doesn't want to be involved. Melanie becomes pregnant and the relationship takes off from there.

Tanner likes to give his woman a forewarning, “considering I never bring a woman home, she’ll definitely tackle-hug you.” I liked this book, Tanner was the sweetest man ever.

Received an ARC courtesy of NETGALLEY from the publisher….

This book takes us back to Haven Georgia where two friends have moved back to a town they once lived and a third friend, Melanie, who’s is heroine of this story comes along for moral support, along with Jade, for their friend Livie after her father passes away, leaving Livie his house and a share in a small airport.

This story line in this second book in the series and revolves around Melanie and her one night stand with Tanner, who is with the local law enforcement, who just happens to be cousins with Livie’s fiancé Jax and their other cousin Cash, and on her way into town he has stopped her for speeding. That did not make for a good impression for either of them, but one night at the local bar, Melanie lets loose and her attraction for Tanner and him for her leads them to a passionate night and the consequences of that night leads to an unplanned pregnancy. Because they both have been in relationships that have left them with some scares inside and out, a relationship is not in the books. But Tanner is persistent that Mel will be living with him, but he knows he has to go slow with Mel and ease her into a lifetime of love and commitment with him and the new life that they created. With the help of their mutual friends and preciouses little girl, can these two expectant parents find their way to a HEA that they both deserve….

I enjoyed this second book in the series very much. I loved that Jules Bennett gives her characters real life issues and friends and family are always there to support them. Tanner and Mel grabbed my heart and never let it go from the first page and I was rooting for them to find their love for each other and it would conquer all the obstacles of their bath to find their love and happiness forever. As always Jules Bennett never disappoints me when I open one of her books and start reading.. I can’t wait for the next two friends and lovers to have their story.

Well done Jules Bennett well done……

This book was a little depressing. Melanie had went thru hell when she was married to a politician, and she was able to get out of that relationship and start over but with emotional scars. Here we are 2 years later and he is still contacting her and he wants her back to further his career. On a night out with friends she succumbs to the chemistry she had with Tanner and gives in having a hot one night and now she is pregnant. Tanner only has one nighters but there is something about Melanie that keeps him intrigued and interested. They both claim they do not want relationships due to their heartbraking pasts but now that they have the baby they are going to try to be friends for her, he still not sure if he wants more he is afraid of giving his heart. Tanner is a really good man, and sweet and so loving. As they get to know each other they fall in love and then the ex causes more trouble, now what? I am assuming that this is the second book, with some of the things that I have read and I think we are also getting Jade and Cash;s book which I do hope we do. All in all it did keep me intrigued.
