Marriage of convenience is my favorite trope and I loved it in this book. It might be short, but I really loved it. I found the trope well executed. Both characters were likable, there was angst and I think the story was well developed for its length. I would love to read a story about Kinsley's brother. He seemed like a cool dude. The ending is a little bit cliffy because it ended up with a tease for another story.

This was a decent story and I somewhat enjoyed both the hero and the heroine. Sullivan and Kinsley were well-written characters. However, nothing really stood out making it a great book.

A decent story, predictable but still entertaining. My only issue is that it's a novella (about 70 pages). I wish it was longer to get to know the characters better.

This is not a novel, as its only 68 pages. It's pretty formulaic - busy billionaire goes for a contract marriage that stipulates no love and no children. Our h is intelligent and beautiful and is in dire need of a large sum of money to pay for her only brother's surgery. Spoiler alert - Of course they fall in love, she gets pregnant accidentally, and the brother recovers.

A spicy story with a good plot. Bought for Marriage is a well-written and heated romance. Excellent.

Bought For Marriage by Fiona Davenport is a short read that incorporates themes of instalove and contract marriage. For once this was a miss for me. When writing these type of short romances an author has to be careful to balance it all out and many times that is hard for them to do within such tight constraints; I’ve only run across a few that are able to nail it.

This was a fast-paced, dual point-of-view read that was unfortunately so fast that the transition from locations was a hot mess. For example, one second to the next you would go from Sullivan’s office to the matchmaker’s office. Instead of confusing a reader and getting them disorientated by the sudden shift, I would recommend that the author instead use that as a stopping point for the old chapter and go into a brand new one, otherwise the author should use that first starting sentence to give the reader a better lead into and/or transition to the new location. This occurred a few times within this short read and it made a big impact on my enjoyment of the story.

An ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review of which this is both honest and completely voluntary.

This is a short sweet read about a Billionaire looking for a wife of convenience. Set up by his Mother with a Matchmaker, Sullivan Bradford just wanted someone pretty on his arm and intelligent enough to have a conversation with.

Kinsley Taylor has money troubles, her Brother's health is in jeopardy and she is in desperate need of finances. She decides to go to a Matchmaker referred to by a friend.

Unbeknown to Sullivan, the Matchmaker is a friend of his Mother's. When she is introduced to Sullivan and Kinsley, she knows she has a perfect match. Now to convince them of it.

Very enjoyable book.

Desperate times and all that...Sullivan has reached that point and is willing to do anything to thwart his mom's not at all subtle attempts to play matchmaker. He doesn't have the time nor inclination for a relationship, but neither does he have the ability to tell his mom this either. Instead, he decides an arranged marriage is the answer to his problem. Everything will be planned and he'll get the perks.

Kinsley's brother needs medical treatment, but it's expensive and the insurance won't cover it, despite the fact it will make him better. Being desperate, she takes the opportunity to enter an arranged marriage. No, it's not the fairy tale little girls dream of, but she'd do anything for her brother. Her only stipulation is an advance, so she can pay for the treatment right away.

Sullivan is immediately enthralled with Kinsley and is looking forward to what they'll have, though he ensures she knows there will be no emotions involved, and she will have to play the part of a loving wife in public.

It isn't long before both begin having feelings, but they each know that wasn't part of the plan, so they're left wondering...where does that leave them?

What happens when Sullivan and Kinsley begin to wish their marriage was real? Will they confess their feelings or continue hiding them? How will Sullivan react to Kinsley's surprise? Can a HEA come from a marriage that didn't start from love?

One-click now and follow along as two people enter into an agreement for their own purposes, but quickly realize they both want so much more.

On a purely personal note, I adore this duo and everything they write, but within the first pages I didn't care for Sullivan. It started with his mental thought of not even having time for "a quick eff in months." It seemed so out of character for one of their Heroes and it tainted my connection to him immediately. While he did redeem himself a little by quickly falling for her and not trying to run from it for too long, any progress he made with me was lost when Kinsley went to tell him some news, worried about his reaction, and his immediate response was asking if she cheated on him. Really? No. Just no. This may not be the series for me despite how much I love their work. The next book features Miles, who had recently suffered a bad breakup and will be the next to contact the matchmaker. It seems, at least to me, that he didn't want the relationship to end, and in fact even left the country for months afterward, which means he loved this woman and wanted more than she did. In that case, I won't be able to buy that the heroine isn't second best...unless it ends up being the same woman. We'll see.

I give this book 5 stars. The storyline between Sullivan and Kinsley was well written and a must read book. I recommend this book. They met through a match maker friend of his mother, was it a match made that will change from a contract to real love? I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I am a lover of all books about arranged marriages and Bought for Marriage by Fiona Davenport is another great book within that trope. It is a short read that will have you flipping those pages!

The last thing on Sullivan’s mind is dating much less marriage. When his mother sets up an appointment with an old college friend of hers that is now a matchmaker he cannot say no. Sullivan decides it is time to get his family off his back so he comes up with the idea of a business arrangement type of marriage.

Kinsley is just like Sullivan when it comes to dating and marriage. She has more important things on her mind like her brother getting the surgery he needs to survive.

Sullivan is all about work and no play. Kinsley just wants to save her brother. Granted, they do have chemistry when they meet and it is hot. The hotness of it makes their sex ignite flames. I liked that there weren’t any lies between the two of them or cheating when they entered the ‘arrangement’ so to speak. I, personally, thought there could have been more to their story. I feel like there should have been more scenes with them getting to know each other, their families, etc. To me it seemed it was more about sex than anything else with them.

Bought for Marriage was a good read, I liked it. I encourage you give it a shot. I will be checking out more of Fiona’s work as I cannot get enough of this trope!!

Sullivan wants to make his family's company, the best in the market. He works long hours, travels a lot and feels like he can't have a stable relationship because no woman would ever accept his lifestyle. His mother thinks differently and with the help of a matchmaker for rich people, Sullivan gets a wife, with a contract.

Kinsley is a resilient young woman who left college to care for her big brother. She needs money for his medical care because the insurance won't cover what's needed, no matter how many paperwork they fill or how many Doctor's gave their assessments. The matchmaker she meets at a wedding calls her just in the nick of time and offers her a deal she can't refuse.

This is a short romantic story about two characters that in a regular setting, probably wouldn't have ever gotten together.

The plot of the story was not something new for me. As an avid romance reader, I see plenty of stories with similar plots: fake marriage or paying to get a wife. What made this book different was the way the author told the story.

In my opinion, Fiona Davenport has talent as a romance writer because even though this book was short I could feel the emotions of the characters. There was no room for character development but what I read was enough to make me enjoy it.

Also, even with the story being so short, the flow of the book was not hindered. I was actually surprised when I reached the end because I was not expecting it to end so fast. *whispers* yes, I did not look at the page count before I started reading.

I would recommend this book to anyone that wants a quick romantic get away from their lives, especially if you like the fake marriage trope.

Sullivan needs a wife so he can get his mother off his back and can focus on running his business. Kinsley is doing her best to take care of her brother but when insurance denies the surgery he needs she will happily enter a marriage of convenience to get it. When Sullivan and Kinsley meet, sparks fly, will this turn into more then they ever dreamed? Entertaining read with great characters and steamy chemistry. Enjoyable read.

I really loved this short sexy read. The story-line, characters and the flow was perfect. I could have read more, I'm not saying it wasn't good..actually the opposite I didn't want it to end.

The characters are easy to understand and fall in love with. I appreciated the very natural chemistry they had. Very well written story.

Could this book be any more perfect?? Bought For Marriage was everything I was hoping it would be and it left me completely satisfied with its sweet sexiness.

I know some people don’t enjoy the whole “pretend-relationship” trope but I just love it, and this one was flawlessly done.

Sullivan is just not in a place where he can commit time and headspace to a romantic relationship. But when his parents meddling gets to be too much, he agrees to see a matchmaker… only his mother never expected him to go ahead and find a bride.

Kinsley’s only concern is her brother’s health and their lack of means to do something about it. When she gets the offer to marry Sullivan, while it’s not really her ideal to enter a type of business agreement instead of a real relationship, the possibility of taking care of her brother tips her to agree. The fact that Sullivan was one sexy hunk and they had crazy hot chemistry was a really good plus.

Their attraction and connection are stronger than either of them thought possible, and soon their arrangement is being broken in many ways. I completely loved both, Kinsley and Sullivan. She was unassuming, funny, witty and caring. Sullivan was the perfect blend of bossy, alpha sweet and I couldn’t help but fall in love with him. I especially enjoyed watching the way he dealt with the feelings Kinsley stirred up in him.

As I said, Bought For Marriage worked for me in every way and I loved the experience from beginning to end. I can’t wait to get Miles’ story next!

Sullivan is all about the job so when his mother suggests that he use a matchmaker to find a wife and settle down, he decides to go all in and go for a marriage of convenience. Kinsley is the perfect match for him: she needs finical security and isn't looking for love. Their arrangement should be perfect but then the feelings show up.

I enjoyed this short novella but it left me wanting something. I can't nail down if I wanted more of the book or something more from the characters. It was a quick read that finished in about 45 minutes. It was exactly what I expect from these authors: quick and dirty and filled with heat.

I enjoyed Bought For Marriage the first book in this new series by Fiona Davenport. I liked the marriage of convince story line. The Heroine was great and had a good heart. The Hero was an OTT billionaire alpha but was sweet the heroine. Overall, it was an amazing short length insta romance story.

I loved this story about a contracted marriage. It was hot and the attraction between Sullivan and Taylor is sizzling. They just can’t keep their hands off of each other. They both had their reasons to agree to a contracted marriage but they couldn’t have asked for anything better. Sullivan is so hot and possessive. Taylor is loving and smart and can’t deny the feelings she has for Sullivan. I couldn’t put the book down. Book given to my by netgalley for an honest review.
