I have to say that contract marriages are one of my favorite types of books to read. I absolutely loves this book, I thought that the way Sullivan's mother maneuvered her son into doing what she thought was best was hilarious. When Sullivan meets Kinsley for the first time sparks fly. The only disappointment I had with this book was that it was way too short. I would have loved to read more about them. Fiona Davenport just has a way with words. She got me from the very first sentence. I read this book in one sitting. There was no way I was putting it down I until I read the last word. I cannot wait to see what happens next in this series. Thanks NetGalley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

I thought this was a good romance. I liked the match maker part. I wish it was a little longer of a story but I liked the two main characters.

I've read this author previous work and enjoyed it; wasn't surprised to see I also liked this one as well. Convenience relationship that to turns to true love is one of my favorite tropes this was really well done. Only problem I had is I wished it was a bit longer so the plot didn't seem so rushed.

Sullivan is being pressured by his parents to get married. His mother sets him up with a matchmaker who he tells he wants a marriage of convenience, but with benefits. Kinsley agrees to be matched in order to get money for her brother's spine surgery.
What starts as a convenience turns into friendship and then turns to love.
This was a sweet story, but it seemed too fast. I would have liked a little more from these two. Overall, I recommend this quick read.

This is my first book by this author. It does not appear to be part of a series.

I really enjoyed this quick, hot read. This is a short book (according to Amazon it is 68 pages) and the main focus is clearly on the erotic side of this relationship but there is still a sweet romance here (or at least the potential for one.) I really wish it had been longer so that the relationship could be more fully developed ON the page instead of coming across as such an insta-love story.

The characters are likable and both show the potential for real depth if the story was just developed a little more. They have nice, natural chemistry and the I just wanted to see more of it. This could easily be 5 stars from me with a couple of additional chapters.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This one just didn't have the typical magic for me, that I'm used to feeling when I read this author. 3.5 Stars.

Sullivan Bradford is a real estate mogul with a booming business. But, his parents are pushing him to get married. He has no interest in the idea at first, but he comes around to the notion of finding a partner that meets his own needs. Not a love match, but still a life partner of sorts. His mother recommends her good friend from college, who has a successful matchmaking business, and she helps him find what he's looking for.

Kinsley Taylor is having serious money issues. Her brother needs an experimental surgery that their insurance won't pay for, and she's trying to figure out how to come up with the money. She's already had to put school on pause and take a full-time job in order to pay for his care up to this point, and she's not sure what else to do. When an old friend introduces her to a professional matchmaker, she has no interest in pursuing anything at this point. But, when the woman offers her a way out of her financial problems, by getting married, she decides she doesn't have anything to lose.

Sullivan and Kinsley are attracted to each other from the beginning, and there were quite a few fun and steamy sexy times after their quickie wedding. But, they weren't really talking to each other about what they needed, and eventually that was an issue. I liked watching them slowly fall for each other and come to realize how much they needed each other. Their chemistry was great, and I enjoyed the little bit of angst each of them had at the idea of accidentally falling in love.

Something was missing for me here, and I'm not quite sure what it was. I normally enjoy this author's books immensely. I am all about the insta-lust, insta-love fabulousness that always occurs. But, something just didn't hit me quite right this time, and I have no idea why. Needless to say, I will continue to read their books, and I'm hopeful the next one will be more my speed again.

I thoroughly enjoyed this sexy and fun modern day fairy tale. Sullivan is a wealthy businessman who is pressured by his family to find a wife. So he decides to find a suitable woman to fulfill the role as a contract, not a romance. Taylor's brother is ill and needs expensive surgery, so when she is offered the chance to be with Sullivan and provide her brother with the needed surgery, she jumps at it. However, with all the best made plans, things didn't go the way either of them anticipated.

If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book. While it is predictable, it is told with a wonderful voice and a bit of a twist that made it engaging. While this is the first book I've read by this author, it won't be the last. I'm looking forward to reading to more of her books.

A quick and fun read with plenty of romance!
Sullivan needs and wants to get his mother off his back with her endless matchmaking nonsense. He doesn't have time for dating much less having a relationship, he's too busy working and building his empire, working his end of the family business. When good old mom sets him up with an old college friend who runs a very discreet matchmaking service for people "like" him. Applies to both men and women who have no time to court but need a marriage for whatever the reason. He reluctantly agrees to the appointment in hopes that will appease her. Loved his mother's friend. So cool an calm. She meets and talks with him, he's blunt enough about what he wants and what he doesn't want. No kids, no love, no romance. They agree to meet again to go over prospective matches.
Kinsley is doing everything she can for her older brother. She quit school to get a job and try and help him out, he's in the hospital again and his insurance has just denied his request for a surgery that will correct his spinal cord issue and allow him to live a normal life. Since their parents were killed, it's just the two of them. When Kinsley gets a call from Julia at the match making business, she puts her off, but after hearing the latest news, she calls her back. Kinsley will do anything to help her brother. If that means entering a marriage of convenience as a trophy wife, she'll do it. But Kinsley has her own rules and requests as well. Sullivan meets the prospects which are not even in his orbit and Julia wisely saves Kinsley for last. Sullivan is all in for her. Even the request for money after signing, which did trouble him but he pushed the thoughts away. He also pressed for a quick marriage, so while she was busy with him, his mother was busy arranging their marriage. The parents were none the wiser. Spending time together, was good for these two. Especially Sullivan who needed to be stretched emotionally and not all business. When he finds out what she wanted the money for he's relieved yet a little put off that she didn't share with him about her brother. They haven't even met.
To watch Sullivan change was great and the book had a nice rhythm and flow to it. We get a front row seat to their marriage and how things change. I really liked this little novella and despite the brevity it's a home run in story telling.

A lovely romance full of heat.

I was instantly attracted to the premise. A workaholic of a man is pressured to find a suitable wife, but he goes about it as a business transaction. Contract, stipulations, and above all, no feelings allowed.

That’s it until he meets the best candidate: a good-hearted, smart beauty, and cannot resist the temptation to claim her body and ring.

I loved how Sullivan goes from business-obsessed to fully besotted with his wife. Imagine a rich man all possessive and alpha male, spending all his energy and time on a woman he desires in and out of bed. Cute!

I also liked the little misunderstanding and issues that made it all so lively. I really enjoy this author’s smutty and sweet style. Hot, domestic bliss to bask in.

This story also seems like the perfect start to a whole series around that matchmaking empire ;-) I do hope so.

There is just something about contract marriages that I love. I think it's kind of a like a modern day Cinderella story with a twist.

Kinsley's brother needs surgery on his spine and the insurance company is denying coverage for the surgery. When she is contacted by Luxe Connections for a possible marriage matchmaking connection, she realizes she can use this opportunity to help her brother pay for his surgery.

Sullivan has no desire to get married but when his mom made him an appointment with her college friend who runs a matchmaking company, he sees the opportunity for what it is, to find a woman to marry as a business arrangement. This will not only keep his mother happy but also provide him with a companion without getting in the way of work.

I think part of my enjoyment of the contract marriages is watching the cold, rich man slowly melt for the woman who he wasn't suppose to fall in love with and find his happily forever. Sullivan did just that for Kinsley. They were such a cute couple and this was a cute story! ARC provided by NetGalley.

Sullivan is a caveman at times, "...she was dressed only in a thick terry cloth robe that went from her neck to her ankles, and I frowned as I realized she was more than likely naked underneath. “What the eff are you doing walking around the hotel practically naked?” I growled as I stalked in her direction." I liked this book, I loved Sullivan it was a quick read.
