Secrets at Cedar Cabin by Colleen Coble is be third book in the Lavender Tides series. I have read the other two books in the series and while they were all fabulous reads, this book is the best yet! Bailey’s story is so complicated due to its circumstances and due to emotionally charged situations. Lance, the FBI agent helping her is facing just as many personal dilemmas. The action and conflict never end in this novel. It starts out grabbing your attention and never lets go. The novel is extremely well paced and will never let you get bored. I highly recommend this novel! The only thing I did not like about it is that it is the end of the series. It is a phenomenal read!! I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

Once again Colleen Coble delivers an action packed and touching story. She also tackles a story that is impacting thousands of families today, human trafficking.

In the opening pages we meet Bailey Fleming. She is dealing with the fact her new husband is already married. As he “buys” her off with the deed to a house in Washington state, she learns that her mother has been murder. The trouble really starts when someone starts shooting at her and she has to take off to save her life.

The characters, both the main ones, Bailey and Lance as well as the secondary characters from the previous stories are just so great. I loved Bailey’s compassion for the elderly and those that are hurting. Lance was driven almost to the point of obsession.

The human trafficking story line was engaging and educational. I know that it exists, but not to the depth.

Even though this is a book three, the author gives enough backstory that you could read it as a stand alone. However, I”m a big fan of reading them in order. There is a novella that falls chronologically between book one and two, though it was released after book two.

I can always count on Colleen Coble to pull me out of a reading funk. Her books always have a depth and strength of character with just enough of the darkness in humanity to make you appreciate the good guys. Secrets at Cedar Cabin is no exception.

Despite her circumstances and learning that everything she believed is wrong, Bailey remains upbeat and optimistic about her future. She does have a moment of doubt but does not allow it to take away her faith that God will see her through this trial. Lance has been looking for his sister for five years, and through all that time he has never given up. While their beginning was a bit rocky, Lance and Bailey quickly found themselves not only attracted to one another but depending on the other.

The setting was picturesque with the cabins and ocean at your fingertips...the perfect place to drop in a couple of dead bodies and a sweet old lady for Bailey to care for. That's what I can always count on from Coble, nothing is ever as straightforward as it seems.

I've been making it a point to write down quotes from books that I find interesting or helpful in my life. So far, Secrets at Cedar Cabin has produced the most quotes from a single book. I had to stop a few times just to digest the weight of a certain sentence as it spoke to my heart.

As for the who-done-it...don't worry, I won't spoil it...but I will say this...you got me. Never saw it coming. In fact, when I read it, I actually dropped the book in shock. Colleen Coble, you've done it again. Excellent book.

I couldn't put this book down. Secrets at Cedar Cabin by Colleen Coble had my attention from the very beginning and kept my wanting to know what was going to happen next. This is the third book in Colleen Cobles Lavender Tides series, focusing on a search for long lost siblings. There is mystery, suspense, romance, and an uncommon hero. If you choose this book, be prepared to get nothing done as you will want to keep reading.

Secrets at Cedar Cabin lived up to Colleen Coble’s other excellent books. I never miss an opportunity to read one of her books. I highly recommend this one. I received an arc from Netgalley and this is my unbiased review.

I really enjoyed this next instalment in the 'Lavender Tides' series.

Bailey has gone into hiding after someone murdered her mother and tried to murder her. She finds hiding in a remote cabin in Lavender Tides...however not for long! There is plenty of action with a love story interwoven in this wonderful Colleen Coble book. It really was an entertaining read.

Thank you to the publishers for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I am very happy to recommend this book.

Secrets of Cedar Cabin continues the story of Shauna Bannister's search for her missing siblings. She successfully located her brother, Grayson Bradshaw, in the previous book in the Lavender Tides series. Now they are working to locate their baby sister, Bailey Fleming. In fleeing from her mother's murderer, Bailey surprisingly ended up in Shauna's hometown. The events leading to her discovery, and the terrifying events that followed will keep the reader tied to this story, not to mention Bailey's budding romance with FBI agent Lance Phoenix whose search for his missing sister intersected with Bailey's flight. Don't be surprised when the words, “Well, I didn't see that coming!” rush from your lips. This book is Coble at her best.

I'm a fan of Colleen Coble. I love suspense and trying to figure out whodunit. Secrets at Cedar Cabin puzzled me as I read, although it is a good story. Even though I am familiar with this series, I found it difficult to make sense of all the characters. The switchbacks between scenarios were confusing, and there were too many of them. It would help if, at the beginning of the book, there was a listing of the characters and their connections to each other.

At the climax of the story, reading about Bailey and her companions and whether or not evil would win out, seemed to end rather abruptly. A little more explanation would have fleshed it out a bit more as to how this supposed upstanding citizen was able to lead such a double life and commit such atrocities.

Bailey and Lance's love story also takes an enormous leap from the two of them beginning to think about dating one another after Lance hopefully finds his missing sister to passionate kissing while Bailey is fresh from the shower wearing only a bathrobe. I found to be in poor taste for a book which is a Christian novel.

Thanks to NetGalley who provided me with an ARC for my honest review.

This is the third book in the series. It starts with a novella, Leaving Lavender Tides, and then the first two books: The View from Rainshadow Bay and The House at Saltwater Point. Personally, I haven't read the novella, but I've been able to read both novels.

Bailey doesn't know it, but her mother has been lying for her entire life. Now, her mother's dead, and someone's after Bailey. She leaves Rock Harbor (Coble fans will recognize the location) and heads for a cabin in Lavender Tides. Little does she realize the house will link her with a human trafficking ring.

Lance has been searching for his sister for years, but he feels close this time. He starts off by trying to tell Bailey he's a neighbor while he checks out who she is. When he realizes she's just wrapped up in something she doesn't understand, he wants to help her.

And she wants to help him. Both Bailey and Lance have been hurt in the past, so getting past their wounds is going to take some time. But Bailey's upfront about who she is, and that draws Lance even closer.

I appreciate the author wrapping up Jason and Mac's story, but the brief moments with just the two of them seemed to interrupt the flow of the main story at times. I also felt that the end was a bit rushed, but these are minor criticisms. Overall, I really enjoyed this story and the series as a whole.

The series is about the siblings coming together but with separate stories. There's a few plot lines that overlap, and with the way you're reading about how their lives are progressing, I think you'll get the most out of the series by reading them in order. There's a nice little epilogue at the end from Shauna's point of view wrapping it all up in a tidy little bow. She's got her family back, and it was an enjoyable ride for me as a reader. Good Book!

This story was very good, it brought a conclusion to the hunt for Shauna's siblings. Bailey Fleming is on the run from someone trying to kill her, her life as she knew it was all a lie, her mother, her husband. Lance Phoenix, FBI agent, is looking for his missing sister who is caught in a human trafficking ring. When Lance and Bailey's paths cross they realize that the same people who are after her have his sister. Full of suspense and intrigue this is a five star read.

Nurse Bailey, escapes to Cedar Cabin in the wake of a false marriage and her mother's murder. While at Cedar Cabin she uncovers dark secrets about her past, and joins forces with FBI Agent Lance Phoenix, who is looking for answers to his sister's disappearance.

While you might be able to read this one as a stand alone, but because I had read the previous books in the series, I was jumping up and down in excitement as the dots got connected, as this is everything I've been waiting for since the first book.

Characters from the previous books blend together with the newcomers, Bailey and Lance, in this thrilling, fast-paced conclusion to the Lavender Tide Series. Bailey and Lance work together to unravel Bailey's past, I loved seeing all the pieces fall together with pieces I knew from the previous books, and things I didn't know at all. There is great pacing, as secrets are revealed, and near misses, all leading up to a climactic conclusion!

Lance is dedicated to his work, but finding his sister Ava, has always been in the back of his head. He admires Bailey, her giving spirit, and how much she truly cares about others. Bailey has a strong faith, and through her upbringing was tumultuous she managed to find a family wherever she went. Bailey's cat is amazing!

Overall, an amazing conclusion to a fantastic series. I loved how all the pieces fell into place in this gripping read, it had me glued to the pages and holding on tight, the pace gave room for great character growth and interaction. I don't want to give too much away, but you won't regret reading this fantastic series!

Bailey's life has been turned upside down since the murder of her mother. One of the biggest changes has been fleeing from Rock Harbor, MI to Lavender Tides, WA. Once there she meets Lance, an FBI agent hunting for the human trafficking ring that abducted his sister five years ago. Through wonderful mastery, Coble has written an edge of your seat thriller with plenty of romance.

Secrets at Cedar Cabin is the third book in the Lavender Tide series and it kept up with the first two as being a fast-paced read with no dull scenes. You will find yourself embedded in Lavender Tides as you read. Fans of romantic thrillers will enjoy this book/series. You can read each as a standalone with no issues.

This book deals with the more sensitive subject of human trafficking so before giving it to a teenager to read I would sit down and discuss what human trafficking is and what to look for on social media and how to stay safe. Coble does an excellent job of showing how scarily easy it can be for our young women to be picked up by these horrible excuses of human beings.

I enjoy reading Coble's books as I know I am guaranteed a clean romance, no obscene language, and a happy ending.

I’m purposefully making this review a little shorter, as I don’t want to give away any hints that would ruin the suspense of this great story. This is the third book of the Lavender Tides trilogy and it’s quite an exciting end to the series. As always, Colleen Coble has written an action-packed story with great characters and a storyline that’s filled with faith and hope. This is a shining example of how good clean Christian suspense fiction can be. I think I may have a new favorite of Colleen Coble’s many great books.

I’d recommend reading the other two books in this series before you read this one. You’ll love all three books and you’ll find yourself staying up long past your bedtime to read the series.

Secrets at Cedar Cabin has the qualities that make a Colleen Coble an exciting, edge of seat suspenseful read. It continues the story that is started in The View from Rainshadow Bay and then carried on in The House at Saltwater Point. Three children were separated from each other when an earthquake hit their town of Lavender Tides, Washington while they were at the grocery store with their mom. The earthquake sent their mom into labor and a paramedic named Olivia Fleming delivered the baby girl in the the debris but their mom died. Little Grayson disappeared and so did the baby. Shauna, the oldest, we met in the first story, was raised by their father. Years later, Shauna finds out that her brother was adopted by a family. As the story picks up in Secrets at Cedar Cabin, we meet the baby girl, Bailey Fleming, who was raised by the paramedic, Olivia Fleming. Someone has murdered Olivia and she left Bailey some money and a note that her life will be in danger as well. Bailey has been duped by a rock star, Kyle Bearcraft, into marrying her but he failed to say he was already married. As a ploy to get her to sign a release promising not to go to the media with what happened, he gave her the deed to a house in Lavender Tides, the Cedar Cabin. When someone tries to kill her in her home, she left her home in Rock Harbor, Michigan and headed to Lavender Tides and the cabin. What a wild ride after this point! This is a mystery to unfold with dangers and suspense along the way. Colleen Coble has a way with taking one to the scene where one can see the tidal pools on the shore with sea life, see the drifts of snow and feel the cold, hear the ferry chugging across the sound. Expect some romance, healing relationships, overcoming obstacles, reconnecting family members and faith to get through it all. Colleen Coble is one of my favorite authors and after each book, I am reminded why.

This last book in the Lavender Tides series was soooo good.

I read quite a few books (understatement of the year) and I do not wait for an entire series to be published before I'll read the series. I tell you this so you understand that I am not usually waiting and waiting to find out what happens next.

I saw that this book by Colleen Coble was available, read the synopsis, and instantly recalled the other two books in the series, Book 1- The View From Rainshadow Bay and Book 2- The House at Saltwater Point....I told myself just request the book and get on with reading another book in my pile of "Need to Read".  I must have checked my email a dozen times that day to see if HarperCollins was going to send me an advance copy of the book or if I'd have to wait until it came out on Jan. 22.

I got involved reading another book that I'd promised to read when I received the email that I could download Secrets At Cedar Cabin. I immediately downloaded the book and began reading...about eight hours later and I'm so glad I did.

This book has all our favorite characters from the first two books and ties up all of the loose ends very nicely. I'm not going to spoil anything for you, but if you have read the other books, pre-order this book now.(It comes out January 22) You will not be disappointed.

For those who have not read the other two books....This story is about Bailey Fleming. When her mother is killed Bailey is told to run and hide out. She has no clue who is after her or why. Someone attempts to kill her so she heeds her mothers advice and leaves immediately. She ends up in Lavender Tides, Washington.

The person who is after Bailey is also involved with a sex trafficking ring, so her path crosses with the FBI agent, Lance  Phoenix who is looking for his younger sister. There are so many twists to this story. All quite believable and very intriguing.

I loved this book! I hope you choose to check out this series, it is fantastic! I'll include links to all three books. If you hurry you can have the first two read by the time the third book comes out next week... just saying.

New year, new books, ya'll...and there are so many great ones coming out this season! As soon as I got done reading The Lost Castle, I dove straight into a new one. Is it possible for the first two books you read in the year to make your favorites list at the end?

I don't know, but here is another one that's certainly in the running. Trilogies are really popular, and I love them! They are the perfect length to really get into a story, understand a community and be connected to the characters. Colleen Coble is a master of suspense, and a master of story-telling.

Her latest trilogy (with additional novella) Lavender Tides, takes us all the way to Washington to the picturesque little town of Lavender Tides. But underneath the beautiful scenery darkness lurks.

First, a bit of backstory.

This trilogy revolves around Shauna Bannister and her family. In the first book The View from Rainshadow Bay, we read Shauna's story. For her entire life she thought her mother and sister died after being crushed during an earthquake, and her younger brother disappeared. She spent her whole life searching for him. We read his story in the second book The House as Saltwater Point. Then, Shauna found out her baby sister may not have died after all. (Can we take a minute and discuss those titles? I want to read the book just for the awesome title!) At the end of that book, Shauna thought she had some information about her sister, Breanna. But it turned out to be a dead end.

Now for the final book in the series, Secrets at Cedar Cabin. Bailey Fleming is living and working in Rock Harbor, Michigan. She's shocked to find out that her mother has been murdered. Her mother left a letter warning her to run or the killer will find her, too. She has no family, and nowhere to go...except to a house her ex-husband gave her in Lavender Tides.

Bailey instantly loves the town, and the people are so friendly and welcoming. She thinks handsome Lance Phoenix is just another nice neighbor when he offers to do some work on her house. But Lance is an FBI agent who's been keeping an eye on the house, because it's a known stopping place for a sex trafficking ring.

He joined the FBI when his younger sister disappeared five years ago, and he's convinced she was abducted. He has searched for her ever since. Now he feels like he's closer than ever. Somehow Bailey and her identity somehow holds the key.

I'm just gonna say, this book was so well-written! It has characters and aspects from the first two books and they all weave together to create an amazing end to the series.

This story is dark--but feels like something ripped from the headlines. We all know that sex trafficking is a real thing, but it's so scary to read how it really can happen, and how innocent young girls are tricked.

My favorite part of this book came near the end when all the characters from all three books were fighting for their lives together. The best part of any book is the climax, but this was more like the climax of the whole series. It kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see how it would turn out.

While the suspense and romance in these books was obviously first and foremost, I loved the little hidden aspect, too. This trilogy is about family. Family that never gives up on each other. Shauna's unrelenting search for her missing siblings is the backbone of this whole series.

Every book has been it's own unique story. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to write stories that are so different, but still have a common thread and flow from one to the next. Trust me when I say you need to read them all!

I always hate to see a series come to a close. But I have to say this ending was truly satisfying. I felt like every single character got their happy ending. After the earthquakes, smuggling and trafficking are all cleared up, hopefully the town of Lavender Tides will now settle back down to a peaceful, happy place.

And I'll go wait anxiously for Colleen's next series.

Secrets at Cedar Cabin is the third novel in Colleen Coble’s Lavendar Tides series. Bailey Fleming is an RN working with geriatric patients. Her mother, Olivia, has spent her life working as a paramedic when she wasn’t on the run. But it seems her past has caught up with her when she is found murdered gangster style. The message she leaves Bailey is to run, and when an unknown assailant starts shooting, she grabs what she can and is herself on the run.

After a brief false marriage to rock star Kyle Bearcroft he gave her the deed to a property on the other side of the continent from her home in Rock Harbor, Michigan. As she flees she makes this her destination with the hopes she will be able to start over safely. Upon arrival, Bailey is able to make new acquaintances and find part time employment. But when FBI agents Lance Phoenix and Daniel Atkinson find her at a cabin that had been a focus of their underworld investigation, they devise a plan to discover who she is and what she knows.

The primary focus of Lance and Daniel’s investigation is a female trafficking ring. Every time they get close to the kingpin an obstacle is presented. With Lance’s vested interest in finding his missing sister Ava, he becomes more desperate to close the ring and rescue Ava. However, they have no idea of the depth of the ring’s scope and how many people will be affected by the investigation.

As with each book in this series, indeed each novel by Ms. Coble that I have read, this book is a masterfully designed thriller that will not give up its secrets until almost the end. The interwoven stories that tie into the first two books bring the deeper plot full circle. This page turner is another special mystery by Colleen Coble and I do recommend it!

If you’re never read any of Colleen Coble’s books, you’re missing out. She is a talented storyteller, infusing her stories with mystery, romance, and even threads of spirituality. She’s a go-to author for me, and after reading nearly two-dozen books of her books; I’ve never been disappointed.

Secrets at Cedar Cabin, the third book in her Lavender Tides series fares well as a standalone, but I recommend reading the entire series. There are ties throughout the books that make each story fuller.

From the beginning, Bailey captured my sympathies. It was easy to relate to her and the emotions she experienced. She struggles with what and who to believe, understandably so, due to the circumstances. The pacing is fabulous, and the thickening plot kept me turning pages (and staying up later than I’d planned!)

As with all her covers, the art is eye-catching, and I love the title. I’ve grown to love Lavender Tides and am a bit sad to leave it.

From beginning to end, Coble's conclusion to the Lavender Tides series kept me riveted and riding the action-packed suspense. I loved that all the characters from previous books appeared in this book, and many of the loose story plots were brought to wonderful conclusions. The addition of Lily as a secondary character was so sweet as we see an elderly lady who is suffering dementia and has both clear and cloudy days. The topic of sex trafficking was very timely as it has pervaded the US in cities large and small. As always, Coble includes spiritual content that winds its way through the story without being blatant, and her characters are everyday human beings who falter at times and walk strongly at others.

Highly recommend this entire series to those who like contemporary suspense.

I wasn’t expecting the roller coaster experience this book had but what a great experience this was. If you haven’t been following along with Colleen’s Lavender Tides series, please catch up. Not sure if there is going to be another book to this series considering many loose ends were tied but this was so much fun.

Secrets at Cedar Cabin, was the third book in the Lavender Tides series. This book was definitely a game changer for the series because it answered some lingering questions from earlier on.

In this book, we are introduced to Bailey Fleming. After finding a note from her mother warning her that her life may be in danger, she fled to the place that was given to her by her husband. After having to deal with her death and finding out he was a fraud, there were many things that weren’t adding up, especially when it came to her mother. She discovered that she wasn’t who she thought she was and that her mother had been keeping secrets.

After discovering some bodies on the property where the cabin she was staying at was found, an unlikely pairing with a local law enforcement officer leads to some discoveries that unlocks the key to her past that is entangled to a connection of his for a case involving his sister.

Overall, the suspense of the plot made me flip faster. I’ll admit, I was a bit impatient in the end and had to skip a little bit. I just had to get to the ending. If you follow the series than you will be happy to get resolution and closure for some of the loose ends early on. I really enjoyed this book. The drama, the suspense and everything in between, words can’t even express the feelings I have getting off that roller coaster. If you haven’t read the series, back read so you can know the backstory. If you are a fan like me, than you will love it. I’m recommending adding this book to your TBR list!
