Colleen Coble wraps up her Lavender Tides series with Secrets of Cedar Cabin. Bailey Fleming is quietly working with an elderly patient at a nursing home in Rock Harbor, Michigan, when suddenly Kyle Bearcroft appears out of nowhere. Bailey had hoped to never lay eyes on this man, who had fraudulently married her, ever again!

Kyle has come to offer Bailey a deal. He will give her some property and $100,000 dollars is she will simply sign a nondisclosure agreement. After Bailey refuses the deal and hastily leaves the room, she receives some awful news from the local sheriff, Her mother has been found shot dead!

Bailey's mother has left Bailey a note telling her to run for her safety if anything out of the ordinary ever occurs. When Bailey secretly heads out across the country to find the property Kyle has left in her name, she finds herself in the small town of Lavender Tides, Washington. Little does Bailey know that in this very town her older sister and brother are living and they have been searching madly for her whereabouts!

This tale is full of secrets and suspense as this family's tale finally comes to a close. Hang on because this is a wild ride!

This is the first book I have read by Colleen Coble, and I will be looking for more. 'Secrets at Cedar Cabin' was gripping in the best sense of the word. Even with the overt evilness of the subject and events that occurred there was still hope based in faith, which I greatly appreciated. I am going to get the first two books in the series to help me come full circle with the storyline.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

This is the third and final book in the Lavender Tides series. Because the series is so good, I highly recommend that you start with the first one, even though it works well as standalone.

I’ve enjoyed every moment of getting to know the characters in this series. The author, Colleen Coble, does a wonderful job of capturing the little details that bring each character to life. There i s plenty of suspense that kept me glued to the pages, and anticipating each new addition. I love how the lies from the past were uncovered, the bad guys were caught, and everything was neatly tied up by the last page.

Although God is mentioned now and again, this isn’t an overly Christian novel. The characters don’t lean on God as much as they do in some other books. That’s probably the only minor complaint I have.

This story is a very solid 5 stars.

Best of the series! I was hooked from the moment I met Bailey and she ends up on the run. She has just found out her marriage was fake and then her mother is murdered. Bailey arrives in Lavender Tides where she hopes to be safe, but things are not as they seem. Someone is after Bailey, bodies are found, ties to a human trafficking ring are revealed, and she finds out that her mother has lied to her for years.

Through his current investigation of searching for his missing sister, FBI agent Lance meets Bailey. He realizes there might a tie in between what is happening to Bailey and his missing sister. The two spend a lot of time together over the course of the investigation and feelings begin to develop. There are so many secrets abounding, can these two piece all the pieces together and stop the evil that is happening before more girls get taken? Will Lance be able to protect Bailey?

There is plenty of action, suspense and romance that kept me engaged and turning pages quickly. I had to know who King was and if Lance would find his sister. I felt for Bailey, finding out that her whole life has been a lie. But she held on to her faith and treated others with genuine care even though her life was in danger. Her determination to press on was admirable.

While the main storyline is a unique to this book, there is a storyline that continues from the previous two books. There are little bits of recap inserted in this book that help you know what has previously happened but I would highly recommend reading the series in order to fully appreciate the character relationships. I fully enjoyed this book and did not want to put it down. Highly recommend!

4 stars only because Colleen Coble is such a phenomenal writer, otherwise this would be at best a 2-star book. This book just has way too many characters, plot lines and outrageous stories. I just wish she would make her stories more believable because I love her writing. However, each book she writes gets more and more outlandish. This will be the last Coble book I read, which is sad because she writes a good clean Christian mystery without sex or swearing.
I know there is a market for this book, I am no longer that market.

The third in the Lavender Tides series, nurse Bailey Fleming is having a rough go of it lately. After realizing she has been victimized by a narcissistic rock star (who married her only for what she would give him-and that he was committing bigamy by marrying her in the first place), she learns that her recently deceased mother was likely murdered. Now Bailey is being hunted and has to go on the run - and through an unexpected turn of events, she heads to Lavender Tides.

FBI agent Lance Phoenix is relentlessly searching for his sister Ava, who he strongly believes was trafficked as a teen. He is convinced she is still alive, with ties to Washington state. Acting on a tip that the traffickers have ties to Cedar Cabin in Lavender Tides, Lance poses as Bailey's neighbor so he can keep an eye on the area.

We are also given glimpses of Bailey's adversary, the nefarious King and his right hand man Chey. Throw in an elderly neighbor with possible Alzheimer's, an exotic pet cat, a suspicious holding company, and a crazy snowstorm, we have the makings of a great mystery!

I would strongly encourage you to read the first two books, as many of the supporting characters and plot points are woven in from the previous installments in the series. Your experience with this book will be very enriched. by reading them in order - and as all three books are solid, you'll be very happy about that decision!

In Secrets at Cedar Cabin, Colleen Coble takes us back to Lavender Tides and several of the characters from the first and second book in the series. I loved seeing some loose ends tied up from the previous stories. But I have to say, Bailey's story is the most dramatic and stirring of the three books. This story has a beautiful thread of hope, but also speaks out against one of the most horrific crimes of our time, human trafficking; making the reader aware of the dangers. The suspense and drama are spot on. The story brings light to the devastation of lies, then shows what can happen when people work together and reach out to God. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Thomas Nelson, via NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is the third book in the series and what a great addition. This story focuses on Bailey but we get to see both Grayson and Shea quite a bit. This story is fast-paced and intense. I enjoyed that the bad guy wasn’t easy to figure out-in fact the book was reveal was my reveal, which I loved. The intensity never wavered and made this a true page-turner. One word of caution—you really need to read the other two books prior to this one to get the full impact.

A great conclusion to the series Lavender Tides. Everything is wrapped up and all mystery is solved at last.

I am a fan of Coble's romantic suspense novels. This one builds on some of the mysteries that were introduced in her 1st book in this series, Saltwater Point. It starts with a bang and keeps going. I recommend Coble's suspense novels to patrons who love a good suspense novel but don't want the profanity or other types of situations that often accompany those types of books.

This third novel in Coble's 'Lavender Tides' series is so good! She picks up on a thread in the first two books and continues it here. Bailey Fleming finds herself running for her life after very suspicious circumstances descend on her life. Her mother has lied about her identity and her husband was definitely not who she thought he was. Bailey is afraid to trust anyone. She goes to a cabin whose deed she's been given, not knowing a thing about the area. Bodies are discovered there soon afterwards and the cabin has been used in a dangerous human trafficking ring.

FBI agent Lance Phoenix is investigating the crimes and soon decides to protect Bailey from whoever is trying to kill her. He is also determined to rescue his sister who has been abducted after running away from home as a teen. He suspects she has been lured into the human trafficking ring.

Coble hits the ground running here, with enough mystery and suspense to satisfy every reader. I was completely captivated from the beginning. I love Coble's Rock Harbor series and this one starts out there, but quickly moves to Lavender Tides. In my opinion, this is some of Colleen Coble's very best work! I enjoyed every single bit of this one. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed this book a lot and couldn't sleep until I got to the end. Initially, I felt that there were too many characters and it was difficult keeping up with them but eventually it wasn't so bad. It was also obvious that there was a prequel(s) to this book and you feel like you're missing some information but you could read this alone.

I enjoy all of Colleen Coble’s books, but when I first started this one, I have to admit I was a bit confused. I read the other two books in this series, which helps, but there were quite a few characters to keep track of. I finally got the hang of who was who and ended up really liking this one in the series. The subject matter (human trafficking) is a tough one and this is no exception; however, she did a great job weaving this story and making sure the good guys win. Recommended.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Never quite feeling a connection to your mother, when you think she is the only family that you have, makes Bailey long for a family she can love and trust. When that mother is murdered and she has no choice but to run, at least she has the fact that she has moved from place to place all her life to fall back on.

As this mystery begins to unravel, her eyes are opened to the pain and sadness that kidnapping brings, even in her own life. We are also introduced to sex-trafficking and shown how it devastates families and communities.

Although a work of fiction, this novel alerts the Christian community to be vigilant and pray for a resolution to this invasive problem that enters our lives through the internet and other media. Our children depend on us.

A word of advice: never start a Colleen Coble just before bed! Secrets at Cedar Cabin is no exception! From the opening chapter, our leading lady is surrounded by unanswered questions and secrets. Bailey’s world is shattered when her mother is murdered. She becomes the next target and so she flees to Lavender Tides and her Cedar Cabin, recently gifted to her by her ex-husband. In the first chapter, we are introduced to King, the character behind the murder and his shady world of sex-trafficking and secrets. I love the way Colleen makes her villains multi-dimensional and we get to view the story from their perspective. Our leading man, Lance, is haunted by the disappearance of his sister and, in pursue her case, stumbles onto Bailey. Their interactions allow pieces of the puzzle to start to fall into play and the secrets start to unravel.

This is the third in the Lavender Tides series and I so enjoyed being with familiar faces and watching their interaction with two new characters. As always, the pace is swift, the villains terrifying and the twists unexpected – it’s just wonderful! Such a good suspense novel with large dollops of Godly truths surrounding forgiveness and love mixed in. There is a beautiful romance in here as well, but I admit, the mystery is what kept me turning those pages! It’s a five out of five on the en-JOY-ment scale and highly recommended!

Colleen Coble sweeps readers back to Washington in this third installment of the Lavender Tides series. This time, Bailey Fleming, Shauna and Grayson’s the long-lost youngest sister disappears from Rock Harbor, MI just as Grayson arrives in search of her. He and Shauna wonder if they’ll ever track her down.

Bailey and her faithful cat Sheba escape Rock Harbor as mysterious men threaten her life. She no family to turn to and nowhere to go. And then she remembers the deed to a cabin in Washington that her ‘ex-husband’ gave her during their last encounter.

She makes her way to Lavender Tides and finds the cabin in disrepair, but a friendly neighbor at hand to help her fix it. When the friendly neighbor turns out to work for the FBI, Bailey feels betrayed by a handsome man—again.

When FBI agent Lance Phoenix sees smoke rising from a cabin known for sex trafficking activity, he stops by to offer his help to the new occupant. After all, he’ll do anything to find his younger sister, even help out a beautiful young woman who appears innocent but has mysterious ties to a trafficking ring.

After spending time repairing her cabin, Lance trusts his gut that she’s innocent—but then he makes a shocking discovery on her property.

Coble’s fast-paced writing keeps readers on the edge of their seats. She skillfully weaves in elements of other Lavender Tide stories without making the reader feel the need to stop and read the first two books (but don’t miss them, they’re excellent reads, too). Suspense fans of Dee Henderson and Cara Putman will love Coble’s books.

Bailey Fleming races to understand the mystery surrounding her life with the help of FBI agent Lance Phoenix. Characters from previous Lavender Tides novels figure prominently in the story as Bailey learns about her past. Clues surface as Lance searches for his younger sister, Ava, who was kidnapped and forced into a sex trafficking ring. Bailey’s Savannah cat was an interesting touch. All in all a satisfying conclusion to the story of Shauna, Grayson, and Bailey.

Running for her life in the wake of her mother’s murder, Bailey Fleming escapes to the only place she can think of—a remote, dilapidated cabin in Lavender Tides. Intending to finally get to the truth behind the lies of her past, Bailey only finds more questions when bodies are discovered near her cabin hideout along with traces of a dangerous human trafficking ring. In an unlikely partnership with FBI agent Lance Phoenix, Bailey races to understand the mystery surrounding her life and circumstances before the murderer tracks her down.

Meanwhile, Lance is determined to rescue his sister, Ava, who was abducted after running away from home as a teenager. An unexpected lead brings him to the remote cabin, and he wonders if Bailey—with her suspicious past and strange connections to his sister’s case—is really who she claims to be and if she can somehow lead him to Ava.

This is the third book in the A Lavender Tides series. It's not necessary to read the first two books to read this book. But they are great books and tell the background for this story. This is a great conclusion to the series. In great Ms. Coble style there is lots of suspense clear to the end of the book. I highly recommend that you read all three books in this series.

I was given this book by Thomas Nelson via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.
