Not a huge fan of the author, but the story is captivating. The settings, the vibe, is fabulous. The price a of fame can sometimes come with print so fine you don’t know the consequences until you sign it.

I loved this book. There’s no much else to say. If you love music, and are intrigued by anything that involves the behind the scenes and dynamics of band, you would love this book. Taylor Jenkins Reid is a wonderful storyteller and I love that every one of her books is so different yet fantastic. This book kept me hooked from beginning to end. And it was so much more than just Daisy and Billy, all the characters captivated me. Camila, Kare, Simone, Graham, Eddie.

If you can, please read the audiobook, it’s a thing of beauty. The audiobook narrated by an all star cast that includes Jennifer Beals, Pablo Schreiber, Judy Greer and Benjamin Bratt among others is just perfection. I dare to say is probably the best way to enjoy this book.

<i>Daisy Jones and the Six</i> is written a documentary telling the behind-the-scenes story of the eponymous band of the 1970s. Because of the interview format of the book, I think this would be a good one for audiobook fans. I would love there to be an album of the songs mentioned to accompany this book because I think hearing them could really add to the experience. Based on the excerpts of the songs included in this book, Taylor Jenkins Reid could have a career writing songs as well as books.

Taylor Jenkins Reid's books never disappoint. The audio performance of this book is definitely one of my favorite audiobooks. I actually listened to it three times, the last one was after watching the series. The book and series are similar, but the book is better; the audiobook is the best. I thought I was listening to a real documentary the first time. The different perspectives and opinions of the same thing is very unique and interesting. Some of the events are ridiculous but it could happen in the rock and roll world. The drama among all the members are fascinating. Drug, sex, music, family, health..you name it.

I know so many people loved this one, but it just didn't work for me. I've heard the audio is excellent, so I might try that method if I give this title another go.

I enjoyed this book in theory, but the formatting on the arc was ROUGH and the concept of this story works SO much better as a movie. It was a rough read for me. I ended up reading it later, as an audiobook, and it was so much better than the print.

Unlike any book I’ve ever read. Love the style it was written in, like interview style with the story being told from multiple perspectives. It is joy and heartbreak. It was one of my favorite reads

I absolutely positively cannot say how much I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed it so much. I read it and listen to the audio version with my husband. We are looking forward to watching the TV show when it premieres in March 2023. This was probably one of my favorite reeds, and I will always and forever keep this book on my bookshelf. This was also my first book by the author, and it will not be my last.

I loved this book. Multiple pov’s, written in a format that I love to read. Journal entries and interviews. Taylor Jenkins Reid does no wrong in my book.

This was my first book by Taylor Jenkins Reid and it won't be my last. I love the way that she revealed the plot. Since reading this book I have ordered four more books by Reid.

I have a hard time finding words to say other than I just LOVE this book and tell everyone about it. I read it in one sitting when I stayed home sick from work. Every time I finished a chapter I just had to keep reading "just one more".

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I legitimately went to Apple Music to try and find the band talked about before realizing it was fictional! I loved the format, the characters, the emotions, the battles, just everything was so great!! Highly recommend!!!

Having read and loved THE SEVEN HUSBANDS OF EVELYN HUGO, I knew that Daisy Jones would have some big shoes to fill, which is why I kept putting off reading it. Last week I found out that the Daisy Jones & The Six TV series would be out soon, so I took the plunge. Turns out my heart still belongs to Evelyn.

DAISY JONES & THE SIX is told in interview form skipping around from character to character as they tell their side of the story. For me, this format didn’t work. The choppy back and forth got tiresome after a while. I really didn’t sense any emotion or feel a connection to the characters. Too much telling and not enough showing?

I do enjoy reading about the 1970s, and this book highlighted the “sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll” culture of that time. I think my favorite characters were Karen and Camila, two very strong women; however, Daisy was a hot mess! Overall, DAISY JONES & THE SIX was an ok read, but with all the hype surrounding it, I was expecting something more.

Excellent!! I've had this in my tbr FOREVER, having gotten an advanced reader's copy from NetGalley, it just took me forever to get around to it. Wish I hadn't waited so long. Now I'm thrilled to see it as a movie. I can't wait to hear the soundtrack!!!

I know, I know... everyone has been talking about @tjenkinsreid and Daisy Jones for awhile now. I get nervous, though... especially books that have been super hyped. Sometimes, they disappoint me.

I did these backwards. (It doesn't affect any of stories, just some crossover characters and the like). First, I met the Riva kids. Then I took a journey with Evelyn Hugo. After that, Daisy Jones was a no brainer. And I loved every moment of it. In my opinion, the audiobook is the way to go. It's a full, star studded, ensemble cast. Once I got into the flow, it was incredible. It reminded me of the show I watched when I was younger, Behind the Music.

Now to read the rest of TJR's backlist!

Brings reader back in time to a 1970s full of sexism and bad habits

This is the thinly veiled fictional account of Fleetwood Mac's rise to fame. Daisy Jones is a force to be reckoned with. She is young Hollywood to its core. Daisy Jones joins forces with the band the Six. She opens for them and then becomes one of them. She helps Billy write songs and she becomes a family with her band. This is definitely the story of sex, drugs, and rock and roll.

TJR does it again. Such a unique concept to write the entire book in interview form, took a second to get used to but once you did and got all the characters straight - what a ride it was!!!!

I really wanted to love this book after adoring The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, but this fell flat for me. I wasn't a fan of the format. I lost so many of the details and descriptions that I would normally cling to in a regular type of book. Still, I liked the Fleetwood Mac vibes, and I was curious how it would end.

Taylor Jenkins Reid hits this book out of the park, as expected, with this epic ode to 70s rock musicians (and their vices). Daisy Jones is affluent, but wants to do more inside the music industry, along with a whiskey-heavy voice and a book of songs/poems...The Six are a close knit group of musicians looking to hit the charts. A chance duet sets Daisy on the Path of the Six and the rest is music history.
Told interview style, this book is worth the hype.
This book was the perfect book for me at the time. I love that it's getting a series, and am also revisiting it via the audiobook.

Taylor Jenkins Reid is cemented as the Greatest of All Time, thanks to Daisy Jones & The Six.
