The Army Doc's Christmas Angel is the third book in the Hope's Children's Hospital series. I enjoyed my visit with Finn and Naomi. Finn has a lot to over come after loosing his leg in battle and doesn't let a lot of people in. Naomi has a past that makes her guarded so when they have off the charts chemistry it makes things a little difficult for both of them.

A hope for healing! An emotional venture into two lost souls who are instantly drawn to each other when they meet. He's scarred and angry, she's wounded temptation ... together they can't resist taking a chance on each other and healing the rifts life has left behind. A touching story!

Pediatrician Finn Morgan isn't happy about this new-found attraction he's feeling for his new colleague. He doesn't want attention drawn to his on-going readjustments to losing a limb, but having her underfoot is sure to produce some.

Physiotherapist Naomi Collins has her own share of past happenings she'd love to be able to produce a different outcome for, but she's determined to help their newest charge as she recognizes some of his fear and anxiety from her own childhood.

Dr.Finn has is own set of issues that stem from loosing a leg while in Afghanistan, but it made him the best at what he does. Naomi is a physiotherapist who is going to work on the same patient who is coming in from a similar situation she came from and can't help but want to help in any way that she can.

Thing is if you are looking for a Christmasy book to give you all the feels then this book isn't that. But if you are looking for a good contemporary romance with deep characters that make you want to route for them being together then you'll like this. I enjoyed getting to know the character and as I mentioned I couldn't help but want these two to get together. This was such a nicely written book, with no dull moments and personally I had a hard time putting it down. Overall pretty good book I really enjoyed it.

This was a very cute book from beginning to end. And it was perfect as I was in the mood for a Christmas romance. I haven’t read the first two books in the series but I had no problem getting inlto the story. The main characters Finn and Naomi both have had tragic events happen to them in the past that shaped who they are today. In spite of these things they are able to find love with each other albeit with a few bumps in the road along the way. So if you’re looking for a feel good Christmas romance this is the book for you.u

Thank you to NetGalley, Harlequin Medical Romances, and Annie O’Neil for an ARC ebook copy to review. As always, an honest review from me.

A story about kind medical professionals, the holidays, and romance will almost always make for a nice read. I enjoyed the book but didn’t love it. The main characters were great - caring, competent, and complex. However, I never really got into the book. Maybe because the writing makes me very aware that I’m reading words instead of fully pulling me into the story. To be fair, I was very tired while reading this book so my focus wasn’t as great as usual.

There’s plenty of holiday spirit packed into this fairly short read. If you like medical romances that are great for the holidays, consider giving The Army Doc’s Christmas Angel a read.

In the spirit of Christmas it is my personal mission to read as many holiday books as I possibly can before the season is over. Which is why I requested this book off of NetGalley. Finn and Naomi work together in HOPE hospital. Finn is rough, broody but given his history you can’t blame him at all. Finn was in the army and got hurt in action and lives a life of solitude. Naomi is battling issues of her own but chooses to be happy and to help people which is why she choose the medical field. The author did a good job with the build up between Finn and Naomi. We got to see the real them and see each other let their walls down. I liked the couple and their banter but I needed more as the story progressed. I felt towards the end of the story things were rushed. I wanted to see the couple embark on their new chapter together as a couple. They both have painful pasts and are finally letting their guards down and I wanted to be there for the good times as well. This was my first time reading this author I did like the writing and the story kept my attention. Even though this is the third book in a series, I was not confused or lost while reading. I will definitely be checking out the other books in this series as well. I haven’t really read too many medical romances even though I work in the medical field and it was a nice change of pace.

Back to Hope Children’s Hospital and another enjoyable visit, as we meet veteran and specialist paediatric surgeon, Finn and physiotherapist, Naomi who grow closer whilst caring for a little boy whose plight strikes a chord with them both.

“It was as if the mistletoe fairy had come and sprinkled her fairy love dust over the whole of Hope Children’s Hospital…

The blurb here gives you a fair idea of what you can expect from Finn and Naomi and with everything from clashes to tender moments, the romance between them gathers pace nicely along in the way.

“Two lost souls finding solace in each other.”

The intimacy was more on the closed door end of the spectrum which was a little out of sync with the rest of the series, however Annie O’Neill maintains momentum with a story that has survival at its core surrounded by heart and humour and some familiar faces. This series has so far been a resounding success and with Hope’s CEO, Theo’s story bubbling away nicely in the background, I’m hoping the final book will bring him, the happiest of ever afters.

I enjoyed this, I have not read any of the other stories in this series. As a stand alone we got enough back story about the other couples. Finn and Naomi have had a rough go at it. Tragedy that tore them each apart. Can they help each other heal and learn to love?
