This is a Christmas story that has a duel love story. Noelle is home visiting her Grandfather to celebrate Christmas and her birthday. This is the first year without her grandmother organizing and it looks to be difficult for them. When billionaire Aiden Phillips arrives stuck in the snow with his young daughter there is a spark of life in his eyes when he looks at Noelle. When her Grandfather meets his family there looks like a Christmas miracle. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Widower billionaire Aidan Phillips is determined to give his daughter the traditional country Christmas she wants. But his vibrant hostess Noelle McGregor is showing him that money can’t buy happiness. As the snowstorm swirls outside, Aidan recognizes the pain in Noelle’s mesmerizing eyes, and finds himself opening up about his past. Might he have found the perfect present for his little girl after all…a mommy for Christmas!
This was a short and sweet holiday read. I liked all of the characters. Perfect for the holiday season.

Snowbound with the Single Dad by Cara Colter is heartfelt and sweet. A Single dad story gets me every single time. It could stem from the fact that my boyfriend is a single father or the fact that my brother is my rock and he is a single dad. Aidan and Noelle are absolutely to die for. They fought the attraction they felt for each other from the beginning just like the dance from the beginning of time.

Noelle's grandfather gives her quite a surprise when she finds out that he put out a ad for people to join him for an old fashioned christmas. Surprise of surprises is that tycoon Aiden replies to the ad and brings his daughter in tow because hes not one to say no to her and managed to land himself in this situation. Both aren't happy with this situation but will try to make the best of this situation.

This was a sweet heartwarming story. I enjoy seeing a hate to like kinda relationship and this book had that so it made me like the book all the more. I loved seeing the romance brewing between the two and how things were with them. I enjoyed seeing how they were spending the holidays and seeing how lively the daughter made things. I also liked the grandfathers character he was interesting and meddling and did things with the best of intentions which was sweet. Overall this was a nice little holiday romance and I enjoyed it.

I loved this heart warming Christmas read. There were so many inner struggles to overcome by both Noelle and Aidan. I was able to devour this all in one day, I didn't get much else done.

Snowbound With the Single Dad
By Cara Colter
Noelle McGregor has had a tough year; her beloved Grandmother died, her Grandfather sold off some of the McGregor land, and finally, her fiancé left her. She was looking forward to spending Christmas with her Grandfather Rufus. Noelle is shocked when she arrives at the ranch. No decorations and her Grandfather is no where to be found. She finally follows the tractor tracks and finds him building a helipad. Once they get back to the house, her Grandfather tells her all about his plan to offer someone an “Old Fashioned Country Christmas” at the ranch. Noelle is horrified that someone is taking advantage of her Grandfather. The people who shows up are Adian Phillips, his five year old daughter Tess, and Nana, Tess’s caregiver. Adian is a widower who tries to do everything to make Tess happy. After a bit of a rocky start, Adian begins to enjoy himself, especially when he sees how happy his daughter is. Soon Adian and Noelle realize that they have feelings for each other, but fear on Adian’s part separates the pair for a period of time.
I enjoyed this cute Christmas story. I laughed at the relationship between Rufus and Nana. This is a great story for anyone looking for a little Christmas cheer.

Snowbound with the Single Dad

I Picked Up This Book Because: I liked the cover.

The Characters:

Noelle “Ellie” McGregor:
Aiden Phillips:
Rufus McGregor, Bertanana “Nana” Sutton, Tess Phillips

The Story:

The concept of this story was great however the writing seemed immature. An I mean immature in the sense that it needed a good editing and revision. Like maybe it was the authors first book. (I’ve never seen so many exclamation points in a book.)

So with that out of the way I loved the characters. Grandpa Rufus was my favorite. How he managed to put all this together was beautiful and we never find out if he knew Noelle and Aiden would get on or not but I’m glad it unraveled the way it did. There was a ton of delicious sexual tension between Aiden and Ellie. There was also a substantial amount of overthinking which doesn’t thrill me but I see why it was included. Tess was a little ray of light throughout the book and it’s so good to see adults set aside their differences and put the child first. I hope this family has many more lovely Christmas celebrations together.

The Random Thoughts:

Favorite Quote: ”’Well,’ Grandpa said, too loudly. ‘There’s a face that would make a train take a dirt road.’”

This book was exactly as I expected it to be. Short, sweet, a good quick read.

There was no shocking plot twist, no amazing plot or character development. But it was exactly what you'd expect. A good old, feel good, romance. The characters meet unexpectedly in a (absolutely unrealistic, but still cute) serendipitous way. They fall instantly in love, breeze past any (seriously, quite real) conflict, and live happily ever after.

Aiden was a very sweet man. A normal dad, just trying to do the best he could for his little girl. The little girl was adorable, and always in the dad's thoughts, but did not feature heavily in the story. She had maybe two interactions with Noelle before the magical fell in love moment. It was a little thin for me, but may have honestly been just a page count limitation.

This book was not entirely my cup of tea. It was too short and too insta-love happily ever after for me. That being said, this is exactly the kind of book my mom likes, so I definitely would recommend it to her and readers who prefer quick sweet stories.
