'Super Chill: A Year of Living Anxiously' by Adam Ellis is a book of comics about a man obsessed with crystals and Bed, Bath & Beyond coupons.

The comics here deal with depression, self-esteem and justifying eating bad things. That makes them sound not very funny, but they are. The comics feel somewhat personal in nature and that gives them a level of authenticity.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

Adam Ellis hits it out of the park again with another super relatable collection of his best comics.
I've been a fan of Adam's for a while now and he never fails to bring a smile to my face and a laugh to my belly (except for the times when I have to cringe so hard I become a turtle).

Very enjoyable, lighthearted read and I will definitely be keeping an eye out on any of his future collections.

I like Adam Ellis's comics for the most part and his book is more of the same, unsurprisingly. There were a few that made me laugh out loud but mostly they are good for a smile or a chuckle. Perhaps I'm just not the target market for his work.

I've been a fan of Adam Ellis' for a while so it was great to see the drawings from the screen look even more amazing on paper. This book was SUPER funny, expected and a great little read for any comic fans.

Funny and entertaining! If you're already a fan of Adam Ellis's art then this is perfect for you, and if you're new to his art, if you like comics that are quirky and full of relatably awkward situations, then definitely give this one a shot!

"Super Chill" by Adam Ellis was a fun graphic novel. I wasn't aware of his online comics before reading this book, and I enjoyed it.

Gross and unfunny, with repetitive, unattractive art. A terrible read that needed a lot more creativity and originality.

The art was cute, and the overall message of the book was good. Some topics I enjoyed, others I did not. That's normal for this type of book, though.

Embarrassed as I am to admit it, this collection was my introduction to cartoonist Adam Ellis - but hopefully it makes up for my tardiness that I was hooked immediately going in, becoming an instant fan (I have since found him on social media/seen much more of his work). Pretty much anyone who lives the kind of life where dumb things go wrong daily (aka the human race) can relate to Ellis, who in his crisp/animation-level artwork (seriously, Adam the oft-put-upon character would make for a great animated TV series) shows his one-of-a-kind level of snark in the saga of a young man who, regardless of what life deals him (healing through crystals? a disturbing breakdown from "Anceztry.com"?), tries to keep things positive. Funny and relatable, my only critique: at 120 pages the collection is just too short, reading very fast until I didn't realize it was over until it was - and was left wanting more. 4.5/5 stars

NOTE: I received a free ARC of this title from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this collection. Very much in the same vain as the Sarah Scribble's collections. Very relatable humor about adulting in our current world. He had me at the dedication (it was to Missy Elliot! lol)

Super Chill is a frank and humorous exploration of social anxiety. Sometimes humor makes it easier for outsiders to understand what life is like for people with anxiety.

I've followed Adam on Facebook for a long time already and I loved looking at his comics, so when I saw this book on here I had to request it. All of his comics are so relatable and hilarious, I love his art style so so much! I definitely recommend this to basically everyone!

This was a fun book of comics. If you like his work, or other Instagram type comics like Heart and Brain or Herding Cats you’ll like this book.

This book takes us readers along in the authors day to day going through situations that cause him anxiety. This book was such a fun read and so relatable to my life. The illustrations were so neat and clean. The author is very talented in his writing as well as his drawings.

I went into this hoping I would come across a lot of new material, yet I felt like I've seen a handful of these before. While it was an entertaining read, Super Chill isn't a book I would rush to reread.

I adore Adam Ellis' web comics and follow him faithfully across many platforms.

As anticipated, I was amused immediately, on the dedication page actually "This book is dedicated to Missy Elliot" what's not to love?! Also, her music will be playing in the background for the duration of the book, the stage is set...I put my kindle down, flip it and reverse it.

I laughed at nearly every single panel which is hard to do these days but a lot of what he's about relates to the things I'm about. Whether it's being a plant qween or ardent lover and defender of three legged cat roommates, I'm about it. You don't have to belong to a certain generation to think this book is funny but if you're between the ages of 12 and 50, ever go on the internet or outside, have ever used an InstaSnapBook app.... then there's something here for you.

I laughed so hard reading this I had tears coming out of my eyes. And some snot coming out of my nose. If you've ever been on the internet, chances are you've seen some of Adam Ellis's comics - they perfectly capture what it is to be an anxious, depressed, introverted twentysomething wannabe adult alive in the world today. Love it and need more comics.

If the name Adam Ellis sounds familiar, you may know him as the man who has had a ghost haunting him. Dear David. In this graphic novel, he doesn’t mention said ghost, but it’s an autobiographical collection of comics that follows a year in his life – everything from dealing with his self-esteem to more random silly topics. ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ (4.5/5 stars)

Super Chill: A Year of Living Anxiously by Adam Ellis is a collection of comics that handle some tough
topics like seasonal affective disorder and struggles with self-esteem, while also touching on the silly and absurd—like his brief, but intense obsession with crystals.

Super Chill is both funny and poignant. Those of us that are more introverted can relate to to his need to recharge at home, and his desire to avoid large groups of people. I could see a bit of myself in a good number of his comics, aside from the ones about drinking or being high- unless you count how I feel after a dose of cold or allergy medication. I enjoy his art style and think that anyone that has dealt with depression, anxiety, or just not wanting to go out in the world to deal with people will enjoy the read. All of the included comics are ones I had not seen, so I found it to be doubly entertaining and it inspired me to go out and follow Adam on more than just Facebook.

Super Chill is exactly what I was hoping for when I requested the title on Netgalley. I like Adam's art style and sense of humor- and can relate to most of his experiences. I have seen some of his work before, and was not disappointed in this collection.
