Caroline is doing everything she can to get out of the virginity for charity that her Sorority is hosting. One of the ideas is to get a local band Punch Drunk to play a concert. Mathewson heard of the pretty much prostitution ring that's going on with the sorority but wasn't aware of his classmate Caroline was apart of this ring and isn't into helping them but asks Caroline for a date to get to know each other.

I thought this was an interesting difference between the other sisters in the sorority when it came to this story. Again if you are looking for a steamy read that it pretty quick then you'll like this book. But if you like a good steamy read with an interesting storyline then you'll want to check out this book. Its not the most unique story I've ever read but it was pretty good anyways. Being that its a novella you don't really get much about the characters what you read is what you get not much depth into the characters but the story they have is a pretty good one. Overall I enjoyed this book.

Caroline is hoping to get a local band to play a fundraiser to help with medical expenses for the brother of one of her sorority sisters. Otherwise, they are auctioning off their virginity to the highest bidder. Mathewson (one of the band members) is disgusted by the auction and doesn't want to help Caroline until he gets to know her better.

Lots of steam in this series and this one was my favorite!

This is another short installment in the Sorority Secrets series.. We meet Caroline who is one of the sorority sisters who is auctioning off her virginity, even thought she is not one. She is afraid that they will kick her off of sorority if she admits that she lied to get in, knowing that her family would be upset and she also doesn't want them not to trust her. She decides that she will get a college band to play a charity concert and make enough money that they wont have to go thru auction. When she reaches out to band the lead singer is a jerk and she decides to go personally and it turns out that the lead singer is the hottie that she has been crushing on. When Matt sees that it is Caroline that is asking things change since he has wanted her from the very beginning..

Star Crossed is book 5 in the multi author series Sorority Secrets. It is a short, sexy read with an enjoyable story and likeable characters. I have enjoyed this short series from Carina and would recommend them for readers.

This fifth (and final?) book in the Sorority Secrets is, in my opinion, the weakest link.

Granted, we’re not dealing with Pulitzer Prize caliber writing to begin with. These books aimed for short and steamy. They were a fun, entertaining way to pass a couple of hours. But the other books in this series - about sorority sisters who auction off their virginity to raise money after a fire at an animal shelter - for the most part had heart, and novella-level plot development. This story really didn’t…

Caroline is not in favor of participating in the auction - and not just because it’s a terrible idea. Instead, her plan to raise money is to get a campus band to play a benefit concert. She shoots off an email to the band, the band shoots her down. So she decides to confront them during a rehearsal.

Turns out the lead singer is the guy she sits behind in class and has been daydreaming about…. You can connect the rest of the dots.

This is how the book went: she fantasized about having sex with him, he fantasized about having sex with her, they officially meet, go on a date, actually have sex, the end.

Even allowing for this book being a novella, there wasn’t much substance. And it was missing some of the sweetness that appeared in a couple of the other books. The only good thing going for it was a hero who wasn’t the typical rock star, playboy character. Also, that it was a novella so I didn’t waste much time!

Caroline was in class thinking how the animal shelter burnt down that her sorority volunteered at. One of her sorority sisters brother had been badly burnt while fighting the fire and their family desperately needs help with his hospital bills. The sorority came up with a auction where the girls would auction off their virginity to raise money to help their sisters family as well as rebuild the shelter of two hundred animals. The same precious virginity they had made a pact to maintain is now on the chopping block and it had Caroline feeling sick as she had lied she had lost her virginity in HS to Brad who she thought had loved her as much as she loved him. He took everything including Caroline's heart and then he left her. Caroline doesn’t know what to do. She proposed they make money in other ways. Which the girls agreed to continue but they won’t postpone the auction . Caroline’s idea was to have a charity concert highlighting the campus legends- Punch- Drunk- Kids and all proceeds would go to the fund. Caroline was told to proceed and she emailed the band and had beard nothing back yet. Bottom line they needed the money and this concert had to come through because the alternative was not an option for Caroline. Caroline had lied when she said she was untouched. She wondered if the person who bid on her would tell the sorority she had lied. Would Beta Kappa Nu kick her out for lying? Will they ever trust her again? Her mother would kill Caroline. Her mother was the only reason Caroline joined the sorority it was her mother's legacy. Caroline had spent the last two years reinventing herself. Her mother didn’t know Brad had taken her virginity. Mathewson tells Caroline he has her paper and when their fingers touched she had felt an electric current shoot down her body. This happens any time they touch in any way. Mathewson felt himself go hard as he looked at Caroline. A groan escaped him as he tried to look away. The girl was driving him crazy and she wasn’t even trying. Mathewson had been out of sorts all semester and it was Caroline’s fault. There’s just something about her. She was smart, sophisticated, and sexy as hell. She’s everything he wanted in his future. Then Mathewson thought about the last time he had time for a girlfriend a long time ago he didn’t bother doing one night stands. But Mathewson had big plans and he has to work his butt off or that won’t happen. His dad is heel bent Mathewson was coming to work for his wealth management company but that is the last thing Mathewson wants. Punch-Drunk Kids - his music is everything he wants. But unless they get their big break it’s a pipe dream. His dad would never support that and he doesn’t have the money to move to NYC or Nashville or where ever he needs to go. Mathewson has two more semesters and gigs lined up for every weekend. The master plan is to be picked up by one of the multitude of agents who will be at any of these events. They have a massive show next weekend and they had been told their dream agent is stopping by to watch. Mathewson was Mat James in the band. It was Mathewson’s job to check emails: as their fan emails tend to pile up. They were still small enough they have to respond to every email themselves. It goes a long way with their followers. He pulls the email form Caroline but it is under the sorority that is auctioning off their virginity. That was gross and they probably weren’t even virgins. Mathewson sent an email saying no the band was already booked but also didn’t want the band associated with a sorority that is short on morals. Caroline had a nasty email to send back but she still needed the band Caroline went to where they practice and there was Mathewson. Then her body reacts to him she thinks why can’t Mathewson be the one who wins the bid on her. Then Mathewson said if she went out with him they’d do the concert. Mathewson goes to the sorority house to pick up Caroline. He knows she is his krptonite and he’s screwed. Caroline knows Mathewson wants her and she wants him.
I loved this book. It was a novella and very fast paced. But at least the two main characters have known each other all semester, so the fastness of their relationship was easier to take. I do wish there was a lot more build to their relationship. But then the book would have had to been longer so it is understandable. So I can’t really complain since it’s a novella. I loved Mathewson and Caroline together ad how they interacted. The sex scenes were hot! I loved how the sorority didn’t condom Caroline for not being a virgin and neither did Mathewson. This was a fast paced novella that I didn’t want to put this down. I loved the plot and pace. I love the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

Caroline has a tiny problem. She and her sisters are auctioning off their v-cards to raise money for her sorority sister's brother's medical bills and to rebuild a rescue shelter. Sounds all good but for the fact that her v-card is already gone. Oops. So an alternative plan must be hatched. So off to email the local rock god to plead for his help. Matt sends a pretty hostile reply back but Caroline isn't deterred. What happens, though, when Matt is Matthewson, the guy she's been crushing on in class? The guy who isn't like the jerk who replied so scathingly?

This is probably my least favorite of this series, but it still delivers what was promised - it's dirty for sure, and short. Not particularly sweet, but definitely dirty. Probably has the most gratuitous scenes in the whole series, a bit much for my tastes. But it's still entertaining and short enough to read in an hour or two depending upon what else you've got going on. I'm going to miss this series!

This quick read is steamy and sweet. The cute and fun plot entertains you well. I loved the chemistry between Caroline and Matt, they made such an awesome couple. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a longer length for additional content, details and complexities. A very good read! This is my totally voluntary, honest review.

Entertaining and interesting sexy read. Well written with strong and intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Star Crossed opened my book world do romances with a college band... And now I want more. Again, I wanted it to be a bit longer to explore the whole band scene, but I also loved it just as it was. It was a little taste of sweet mixed with a lot of spice.

Overall, I loved the Sorority Secrets series. I especially loved that each novella brought something different to the series. They were all sexy as hell, but there were also tender and sweet moments mixed in. I hope Carina does another series like this again in the future.

After fanning myself after Sorority Secrets number 4, the fifth part is less panty-melting and more swoon. Caroline has promised to auction off her virginity for the good cause. However, she has two problems: 1) technically she is no longer a virgin and 2) she really doesn't want to go to bed with the first pervert to bid on her. So she decides she needs another way to raise money. She e-mails the local rock legend Matt James and asks for his help with a fundraising concert as a different way to raise money then via a virginity auction.
Appalled by the auction, Matt sends back a harsh refusal. But Caroline isn't giving up. She will track down this famous guy and she will give him a piece of her mind. But she never expected to already know the guy: legend Matt is the same as Matthewson Jameson, the quirky guy in her Economics class??? When realizing that Matthewson is not the jerk Matt and when Matt realizes Caroline is not some dumb bimbo trying to sell herself to the highest bidder, they try to find a new way to raise money.
Short and sweet. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

The final installment of the Sorority Secrets series, Star Crossed is a rock star romance. A little taste of another popular genre. I feel it had a lot of potential but it doesn't seem to make it past a one dimensional story. As much as I wanted to care about the characters, nothing made me become attached to them.

3.5**** if I just breeze past the whole virginity auction idea, then I really enjoyed this story. I enjoyed the way the two main characters found out they had a thing for each other because of said VA. I found the story a quick and sexy read and will be looking for more by this author.

This is a great addition to the Sorority Secrets series. It’s steamy insta-love and a smoking hot lead singer. I just love this miniseries, full of steamy reads that can be read in about an hour. Each book is written by a different author and can be read as standalones.

This little ditty is amazing. I love the chemistry between Caroline and Matt. You will love this bookworm sorority girl and the rocker. I love how she tries a different way to raise money for her Sorority and how Matt keeps her little secret. Matt and Caroline have that something special. Heather Stone did a fabulous job with this little short in the series.

This is apart of a series written by different authors where a sorority decides to auction of their virginity, in order to help a friends brother who was seriously injured. Caroline is not as willing to give up her virginity so she decides to find the local rock god and have his band perform for the charity. When she finds out who the rock god is things will steam up.

This was a fast read.

Star crossed was a quick read, fast paced with plenary of heat. Caroline and Matt were likable enough characters.

Ever feel like you’re invisible to others and consider yourself a plain Jane, then you must read this story! Unbeknownst to Caroline, she is in class with the campus rock star Matt. She has the hots for him and the feeling is mutual. And despite him feeling the pressure of gaining a music contract, and her feeling pressure from her sorority sisters to “put out”, they manage to fine their happy ending. Steamy and sweet!

"He's a campus rock star—and I'm just me."

Star Crossed is a short sweet and dirty taste of a new-to-me author that continues the Sorority Secrets series. I admit that the rockstar aspect really turned me on, I can't resist a rocker and neither could Caroline apparently. But not because he's in a band, she met him in class and crushed on him without knowing about his extracurricular activities on stage.

I enjoyed this tale, it was a bit of a steamy fairytale, but entertaining nevertheless. It's every college girl's fantasy I'm sure. With each installment being written by a different author they share a single theme, the 'virgin auction', but that's about all. Each writing style has its own flavor and some have more emotion than others, but they are all sexy.

My least favourite of the Sorority Secrets so far. As in previous novellas we follow Beta Kappa Nu as the sisters decide to auction off their virginity for charity. Star Crossed follows Caroline Littrell as she second guesses giving up her so called ‘virginity’ for charity, especially when she discovers that her super hot crush and classmate Mathewson Jameson also has feelings for her. Matt it seems is also a rock god on Campus (not that nerdy Caroline knew anything about that) and once he discovers what Caroline is about to do, he steps in to help, he doesn’t want anyone else touching what’s his. The story was very clichéd, which I don’t mind, but I did find it was all about the sex, I felt that scenes were written into the story that were totally unnecessary. It was a short story, but I would have liked to know more about the characters (who I loved), and less about their dirty minds. Not really the book for me I’m afraid. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.
