While I usually enjoy this type of book, there were too many characters to keep track of. It quickly made me lose interest, as it was hard to follow.

Okay i'm beginning to think that either i've developed psychic powers or these so called 'mystery/thrillers' have become alot less thrilling and alot more predictable. I again had worked out the plot from pretty early on and became more and more frustrated with this sad girl not a detective but investigating anyway trope. So clueless and annoying - the novel just droned on and on. Not for me.

This is an ok modern thriller. It held my interest to the end and has a lot of twists and turns which I enjoyed.

When Maddie returns home for the 10th anniversary of her childhood friend Nora's disappearance, she finds herself unable to make sense of her own hometown. And when another girl is found dead exactly where Nora's car was found, things get complicated and scary. This was personal. The killer was from their hometown. Taylor had some good ideas for the story and she writes decent prose but the characters' reactions to what was happening did not ring true. Their reactions felt hollow and forced. So, while I stuck with the book to see whodunnit, I think the story could have been much more satisfying.

New author for me but pleasantly surprised. Thank you for the approval and look forward to a book relationship with other reads in the future,

This one was okay, but not as suspenseful as I was hoping. This is more of an emotional mystery than a thriller. There were so many characters (some of them unnecessary) and I felt the storyline dragged a bit, making it a bit confusing. The plus side of this book is the writing- the writing style was descriptive and engaging in parts.
I believe that those who like a true suspense novel like myself will find this book too easy to predict, although others may find the author's narrative enjoyable and keep them going. Thank you Killer Reads for an Advanced Copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

I wanted to read this book because in the description they claim fans of Liane Moriarty will enjoy this book. It was a good book but I don't think it was at the level of Moriarty’s books. It was not written in a similar style or as engaging as Moriarty’s books.

The characters were engaging. However, there were too many characters to keep track of and it didn’t help that one of the main characters was referred to as Noelle and/or Elle. Another main character, Maddie, was very self-absorbed and I didn’t find it believable that she would accuse so many people of murdering Nora. In the end, she confronts the killer when she is on her own and not in a position to defend herself. I would have preferred Maddie to be a more intelligent character.

I didn’t find it believable that the police didn’t do more to find Nora. It was a good storyline but I felt it need to be more believable.

This was a small-town murder mystery that came to me just when I was in the mood to read a mystery.

Maddie is this 20-something girl who's never really grown up. She's psychologically stilted because of the disappearance of her best friend when they were 17. During the 10 year anniversary of the disappearance, Nora (the best friend)'s sister is found dead. It's more than a little coincidental and has to be connected. Maddie is determined not to leave town again until she figures out what happened 10 years ago and now.

I think my mood made me like this more than I usually would've. It's beautifully written (although clearly the author is British because some of the slang wasn't adding up to the Wisconsin setting), but it wasn't the GRIPPING mystery that I usually go for. This book was slllloooooowwwww going. At times it was thrilling, but other times the book seemed intent on endlessly going over the main characters's feelings. Maddie's mental state and feelings are such a large part of the book, but they're not really a part of the mystery, so slogging through all of that was a bit boring at times. The emotional parts of this book were well thought out and I appreciated the attention to it at times, but I think it was touched on just a little too much.

I really enjoyed the tiny town that this book was set in and all the different kinds of people that we met along the way. There are 2 generations of mourners and suspects, and I thought many of them were interesting to get to know.

I was disappointed that I knew who "did it". That's just no fun. I read a lot of books, so it may not have been obvious to the casual reader, but I had a theory right away... and it wasn't wrong :(

OVERALL: A good enough mystery, but didn't quite hit the bar for me. I thought it was nice that the author touched on the mental health and feelings of the main character, but I thought it was touched on just a tad too much and slowed the book down quite a bit. I would recommend if you want a book that's a little lighter on the mystery and heavier on the character development.

Good storyline and enough of a twist to keep the reader interested. Would have been good to see deeper characterisation of some of the other characters.

I thought this book was really interesting. I liked the friendship angle between Nora and Maddie even though it was very different than traditional. I can definitely see the resemblance between Lisa Jewel's writing and this book. It had a slow burn that came together quick in the end. Overall I enjoyed it and would recommend it to domestic thriller fans.

I found this book quite difficult to get into it and I almost abandoned it on multiple occasions. I stuck with it because reviews implied that it picked up in the second half but I still found that it took at least 80 per cent of the book to feel like it was getting somewhere. It's a lot slower paced than most of the books I've read recently and I don't mind that every so often but I struggled to see where this one was going for a lot of the plot and I think I would have enjoyed a bit faster pace. I did like the latter part of the book and I would look out for more from the author to see how they develop.

I really enjoyed this novel, because it seemed to have just the right amount of tension and mystery to keep me interested. The main mysteries were really intriguing and the author doesn’t really drop a lot fo comes until the perfect moment. There’s plenty of red herrings and twists to keep things interesting.

The character of Maddie was ok. She wasn’t my favorite - she seemed so stuck in the past, unable to vocalize what she wanted or needed. I would have liked her to be a little stronger, but i guess I can’t really blame her for her instability. It just got a little frustrating at times.

Overall, this was a good mystery with a good dramatic storyline. I really enjoyed seeing the emotional ramifications of a cold-case on those closest to the victims. It was a great page-turner.

Well folks, be prepared to be annoying frustrated but in a completely more-ish way. This story will have you infuriated with having to go to bed because unfortunately us humans required adequate sleep to live and function! Admittedly, it did start out slow for me, there was a little too much narrative and not enough action, however the more chapters I finished the more I wanted to get to the end and find out what did happen to Nora? The author did have an effortless way with description which I found a pleasure to read, and it did flow nicely. However, it could have used more plot twists, I unfortunately didn't have any WTF moments.

Was an effortless read and I do look forward to reading more from this author in the very near future.

Argh this book was defficult to rate. For the first half of the book, it was very wordy and talky. I really struggled to get through the first half and even considered DNFing the book at one point because it was so bad. I found it difficult to get into the story and difficult to read in general to be honest.

And then came the second half of book {approximately :P} and it got much better! It wasn't as wordy and started to flow a lot better and more like a crime book. I didn't want to put the book down and I didn't even see the twist coming at the end so kudos!

Hence why I'm so torn; the first part was a nightmare but it evolved into a book that I really enjoyed! I think it would be worth the battle through the first half and the second halk more than makes up for it!

I was really excited to receive this book but it did disappoint me. It wasn't as thrilling as I had hoped. The description made it seem it would be addictive and fast paced. However, I found it to drag on forever and I knew the ending by the time I reached the half way mark. Other than those two things, it was a decent read.

This was an enjoyable thriller.

If you are looking for a fast paced thriller, then this is not the book for you, this book is very slow paced and the story is very slow to unravel.

One of the main issues I had with the story was how predictable the outcome was. I guessed the culprit right from the beginning.

really liked that this story wasn't too heavy handed on the romance. Authors quite often try to shoe horn relationships into thriller novels where it really doesn't work and I appreciate that Taylor didn't over-do it in this book.

I also felt like the story had really great atmosphere. I love a story set in a small town and the small town setting combined with the oppressive, middle of winter cold atmosphere was done really well.

Overall an enjoyable read. If you enjoy a slower paced thriller with good atmosphere then this one is worth checking out.

Ten years ago a seventeen year old girl named Nora goes missing. All that was found was her car, with an empty gas tank, not far from her family's lake house. Her body was never found and she never returned either. Ten years to the exact day, her younger sister Noelle (Elle) is found murdered not far from where Nora's car was abandoned. Maddie, one of Nora's best friends, still deals with the grief over not having closure from Nora's disappearance and makes it her mission to find out once and for all not only what happened to Nora but who killed Elle as well. The police aren't necessarily convinced the two cases are connected, but all of Nora's family and friends vehemently believe this.

This book was off to a great start. The pace and tone was perfect, and I had my suspicions of who the killer was, but I hadn't quite figured out what became of Nora. I like being surprised in mysteries, I don't usually enjoy figuring out the answer too early in advance as it kind of kills the book for me, so that aspect was great. What I did not like, and the reason for the 3 stars, is the fact I thought that what happened to Nora was completely absurd and unbelievable. I can NOT believe the police wouldn't have thought to dredge the lake NEAR HER LAKE HOUSE when they could not find a body!!! That baffles me.

Aside from this, this was an expertly crafted suspense that I really enjoyed for the most part!

Forget Me Not has way to many characters to keep track of, and all the nicknames in the story are very juvenile. I had to double check that this wasn’t a young adult title, because it was very high school & unrealistic. Police sharing info with their old classmate was far fetched and a little Nancy Drew-ish.
The story moves along at a snails pace, and the ending was very predicable and felt rushed. Good attempt from the author, and the storyline should have worked, but I was disappointed with childish writing
