Superb, deeply transforming and empowering

A clear crystal teaching as only two "expert practitioner and teacher of meditation" can show us, so grounded in reality and practical exercises that are easily integrated into the daily routine, entertaining experiments to challenge our minds, beautiful quotes and significant personal stories of the authors, simple and transformative explanations to retake our true personal power.

The essential foundation is the relationship with oneself, and this is the first part of this book. The essential sections of the book do not offer anything new under the sun, what is certain is that humanity transits towards Awakening even though we have these millenarian knowledge, however we did not learn them since they are not taught in an educational base from the childhood. The authors emphasize the importance of developing the discipline of observing and listening to our minds and related emotions to know where we are, how we cause unhappiness to us and have more clarity where we are going or transform it to go where we want. This is fundamental since we are trapped in the false collective belief that circumstances and external objects are those that have power over us and our happiness.

Once we have learned how to be focused in the present moment, aware of ourselves and what we think, then the second part of the book helps us to expand this awareness towards the shared experience, the reality where we are interconnected. So in this way in the first part of the book the authors guide us to develop "basic happiness" and in the second part what they call "interconnected happiness".

And here does not end what can be learned from these Tibetan Buddhist teacher and entrepreneur, since in the third part of the book they teach us that the synergy between these two types of happiness lead us to "radical happiness". For this point we need to be able to express love and compassion in any situation, regardless of the way others act. In my personal experience when I am having a situation that I interpret as difficult and painful, before making a life decision, this is what I practice by questioning myself "What will I give to life and who will I become? I choose to give power to ____ (example, resentment) and become a person _____ (example, bitter), or I choose to give power to _____ (example, love, peace, forgiveness) and become a person _____ (example, loving, peacemaker, empowered "
Successful development of wisdom for all, Namaste

Radically Happy is a well written book full of great information and exercises to bring meditation into our complicated lives. With two very different teachers writing this book, they blended their ideas perfect.
