It all started very interesting and mysterious, then... the story got weird and eve developed all kind of power.. without her being very curious about it all. I list interest around the middle of the novel and the end got a bit interesting again, when the main character came back after 10years. I finished it with some sense that the story was okay. It is worth finishing it, but i wont give it more than 3 stars

Full review to come.
I deeply apologize, but life is a handful lately and I'm using all my free time to read, not review. I hope everybody understands.

“Ageless” by S.Ghali was original but confusing as you get deeper in the book.

Evelyn has incredible powers that must be kept a secret from everyone. Her parents know of her powers and warn her about the consequences if she cannot control it. A fortune-teller at a party tells her that her destiny is to die because of the curse she has. After hearing that Evelyn tries everything to find answers.

I think the plot of the story works but there are just missing parts to it. Like the car accident scene that none of us really read about. That started off with Evelyn at school getting things ready for a play and something bad happened. She wakes up in the hospital being called Sarah. What happened?

All I can say is that I liked the characters and that the book is going the right direction but it needs work. I also need to point out that at the beginning of the book the author does a great job using descriptive imagery on the characters and environment. I will definitely read the next book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Great beginning to what is sure to be an awesome series. Fun, dark fantasy with a sweet romance sub-plot, I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

I found the beginning of the book interesting. But as the book went on the more confused I got. It was a slow reading book. Everything seemed like pieces that never added up completely. I didn't really like any of the characters. They were whinny or rude or just plain cruel and mean.
The story itself was definitely original. It wasn't a retelling of a fairy tale, but it needs a serious edit and a universal direction that each piece of the puzzle eventually will fit into.

I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.

I received a free ebook from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really wanted to like this book and wanted to give it around 3 stars. I couldn't give it 2.5 stars, so I settled on 2.

I found that I had difficulty picking it up again to finish it, after I had put it down for a while, because the author took a while to really build up the plot. I didn't find any of the characters likeable, except Comet (the main character Evelyn's dog). I also found that there were a couple of contradictions in the book. (view spoiler) Those contradictions seemed to be dismissed in favour of prolonging the plot. I was pretty confused by the second half of the book (view spoiler) and don't know whether or not it was better or worse than the first half.

How could you hide who you are for 17 years with the knowledge your life is going to be cut short?

Evelyn has grown up in a small town in England hiding her abilities ever since that fateful day at school that marked her and Kiera Davenport forever. While I am honored to read this book and give my thoughts I am going to be honest throughout this review.

I was hooked on finding out what events would happen next and how it affected Evelyn. The story started out strong however towards the end it was very disengaging. After Evelyn’s accident with the car, the story had taken a completely different turn. I was confused on parts and kept having to go back and re-read to see what I missed which ended up being nothing.

It seemed like the author had a lot of different ideas and needed to cram them all into one chapter or another such as what Evelyn truly is. The part where her long lost aunt explained everything was fast and very confusing because i didn’t know what an Elixer was or the tree of life; the book never really go into any details on those and skimmed them over.

The ending was very disappointing because it was cut short and not leaving me with the desire to continue the series. I am still slightly confused on what I had read and the actions of Evelyn towards Kiera. Ageless leaves a lot of loose ends that needed to come together, writing errors and it just felt like the author had rushed to get the book over with.

I hope when the second book comes out it will focus more on Evelyn and her origins as well as what she truly is.

Posting to amazon as well

Very slow and “heavy” start for me. I couldn’t get into the story or it’s characters. Sorry, but I couldn’t finish this book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ebook copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book wasn't really for me. I found that the characters rubbed me the wrong way. I guess that is the sign of a good author to make you feel something. I just couldn't get past this to really enjoy the story

This novel was just okay. I really enjoyed the beginning of Eve's story. The middle and ending did not appeal to me as much, since every turn was a new "creature" or "magical entity" being discovered and used. There was a lot going on and very little description. The novel was fast-paced, though.

This was an ok read, starts off slow and then picks up a little in the middle, but then turns into a cliche, maybe it’s more suitable for a lower age than myself, I can see a teenage me enjoying it.
