This is a decent biography about one of the more polarizing characters in the National Hockey League. I like Subban's flair and we learn a bit about his life and what inspired him to take up hockey in the first place. For anyone looking for a bit more about him, this is a good place to start. It's not too dense and has enough content to be satisfying.

I’ve been a Nashville Predators fan since their first game in the NHL in 1998. So when a book about one of “my guys” crossed my radar, I grabbed the chance to read it and learn more about the person behind number 76.

Teresa M Walker takes young readers from P.K. Subban’s childhood to his Stanley Cup runs and beyond, giving readers a glimpse at who and what shaped Subban into the man he is today.
A young boy who practiced faithfully no matter the time of day and worked hard has become one of the best defensemen in the NHL (and that’s not team pride speaking, the numbers speak for themselves). Yet, hockey player isn’t what truly defines Subban. No, that would be his generous nature.

This man uses his money and notoriety to help those less fortunate. From the Montreal Children’s hospital to at-risk youth and law enforcement officers in Nashville, Subban leaves his mark of caring on his communities.

With the support of family, his team, and his fans, this popular athlete may step outside the box of what’s expected, but his kindness and big heart are what leave the biggest impression.
