This was a messy stressful story to read. Kali is very stressed out trying to juggle her newborn son, flagging law practice and her doctor husband. Her husband finds a young Swedish nanny whom Kali is immediately suspicious toward. Bad thing aster bad thing happens and it's almost overwhelming to the reader. I thought the ending was appeared slapped together and very abrupt. This is for A Nanny For Harry by Sylvia Muholland. I couldn't find the book listed under my shelf, but I did download it from NetGalley.

Kali Miller is an attorney - and a total workaholic. She seems to have a perfect life. And now, she’s pregnant.
Being the workaholic that she is, Kali obviously needs a nanny for the baby. When Harry is born, and she’s ready to get back to work, her husband Matt manages to hire a Swedish nanny - Britta Edvardsson. Blonde, pretty and svelte, Britta can give any lady a run for their money.
As Britta settles into their lives, Kali realises that she’s far from perfect. She handles Harry well, but rest of the chores are left to Kali, who is juggling a potential promotion at work, and a difficult client. She eventually starts feeling insecure and paranoid. Worse still, there seems to be some sort of a past history with Matt.

A quick read...
Seemed to drag a bit in places - but overall was a decent one.
Every working mothers worst nightmare is employing not-a-good-nanny, and I felt her anguish all the time.

This is a story of a new mother's sacrifice, along with the new "Swedish nanny" her husband hired without her knowledge or consent. Everyone seems to think that the new mother, Kali, should be jealous of the nanny. And at first she isn't, but there is more to this story than meets the eye!!

This was a great book. I really enjoyed reading it & would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a little mystery!

A Nanny for Harry was a good read. I loved it. It had me laughing out loud at many different times. But it also showed the stress and anxiety that working moms have to deal with every day. I received this free ebook from NetGalley for an honest review.

A Nanny for Harry is a great look into the life of someone who wants it all, seems to have it all yet still doubts the things in her life. Good read, that gives us a glimpse into the struggles of all working moms.

The main character was SO stressed out all the time that I think some of her stress even transferred to me, yikes! The book was a good read but now I think I need to go do some yoga and chill out. :)

At first I couldn't connect with Kali, I found her to be very self-opinionated. Her attitude towards the nurses at the birth was atrocious.
With the birth of Harry, her world turns upside down especially with the nanny who her husband hired without her. Trying to handle motherhood, her marriage, her job and The Nanny; Kali finds her life in disarray.
I felt the first half of the book "dragged" a bit, speeding up towards the end which was a satisfying one.
A good read.

I love books about new motherhood! It takes me back! I also love a good corporate read as well! The combination of the two was super appealing to me! This was a fun book, if a little “wordy”? Less setting description and
More character development may have helped. The book was just slightly sloowwwww in parts. All in all, I liked the premis and the main character was relatable. Entertainment level would have been better with a little more editing!

A Nanny for Harry was a tasty irresistible treat. Kali should have had input on the nanny that was hired. Mulholland’s unique characters and artfully designed story are prizes. This was a great beach read for me. Thanks to Independent Book Publishers Association and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

#ANannyForHarry by #SylviaMulholland was, for me, a disappointment. I felt that the novel's initial setup of pregnant lawyer Kali, doctor hubby Matt, and blonde nanny Britta was just too much of a trope from which to hang an entire novel.

Harry is the baby, named before he's even born. Kali goes through pregnancy struggles that every pregnant woman goes through, including massive self-doubt. All of that is eventually worsened when her doctor hubby hires a Swedish nanny with whom he has a mysterious connection. Said nanny is obviously pretty worthless as a nanny.

Ultimately I just didn't care about any of the characters, not even the baby. Well-written, definitely. Would I recommend? As a throwaway on vacation, yes.

A well written story of love and sacrifice for your child with a bit of mystery mixed in. Having your husband hire a nanny without your input would be disheartening for most new mothers. But when there is also a connection between husband and said nanny, for a reason that you don’t yet know...it would be suspicious to any new mom. Read it to find out what happens next.

Having a newborn is a huge adjustment for even the most intrepid moms. When you mix in a young Swedish nanny, who was hired by your husband, sleepless nights, suspicions and an over -active imagination, you set the scene for many misunderstandings. Fortunately, it all gets worked out to everyone's satisfaction and it turns out Harry may not need a nanny after all.

All working parents, especially those that are career driven, will totally be able to understand the author's message: that even though today's working woman may seem like she had it all have it all, it comes with a multitude of personal sacrifice..

Great writing, solid and well described, with the go between between narrative and dialogue handled extremely well, making for an interesting, funny and fast read. A Nanny for Harry has believable moments of laughter, frustration and vulnerability to which all expectant an
working mothers will relate to.

Liked the characters and the plot of this story. The background of the au pair was crucial to the story line, and the surprise twist added depth to the story.

An equally intriguing and frustrating story. I did not want to take a break from reading this story. I found myself constantly rolling my eyes and becoming so upset with Kali and her inability to see what was right in front of her. I can say that the ending took me a bit by surprise. It was much more complicated than I had imagined. With that being said it still did not make up for all the drama that Kali had to go through. Still it was a great story and I did like the ending....well I kind of like the ending. I do think Kali messed up an incredible opportunity and wished it changed a bit but I would recommend the book to friends!
